  1. Shame we didn't get a mini version like with the Unimog.
  2. I think it's perfectly fine. We're discussing available information. This isn't Wookieepedia, dammit!
  3. That would be cool. Maybe a revival of the classic '80s version.
  4. I agree with you as well. Nothing wrong with the steering. I don't even think the lift height is a problem, since heavy duty forklifts are built to move cargo around rather than stacking it.
  5. Well, hey. We had 42067 disappear into the ether. But the missing numbers might crop up later in 2019. I'm envisioning something like the 8043 B-model. Sounds good.
  6. Makes me wish TLG did the larger hubs in lime...
  7. Nice! Second one's my fave. Like the classic clear tubing.
  8. Don't ask me, man. I had trouble getting the angle of those bloody knob wheels in the Claas silage plough correct.
  9. It's like @Sariel says - 42082 just doesn't look that large. 42055 would most definitely make it look small.
  10. Tractor tyres on a mobile crane? What is this, Spintires? That poor Technic figure is in for a bumpy ride... Seriously though, this looks mighty cool and highly complex. I like the use of the Volvo engine blocks.
  11. Same with 42082. It brings nothing new to the table, yet it's so muggin' big. You're paying for the size, rather than what the model has and does.
  12. Couple of years ago there was a SyFy original series called Helix that showed on Channel Five over here. It had a typical virus-is-loose setup, but it elevated the concept of "ridiculously bad" to sheer art. It was so utterly terrible that I just couldn't stop watching it. I even got the DVD! So sometimes, being ridiculously bad can actually work in a show's favour.
  13. I know 8248 was my first proper Technic set. I struggled with it a bit back then, but now I'd probably knock it out.
  14. The reason for the limited lift height on 42079 is that the load needs to be kept at a safe altitude while travelling. Since this is the type of forklift that carries loads around a dockyard rather than stacking them in a warehouse, I'd say the fork travel is more than appropriate here.
  15. I'm with @Saberwing40k and @WvG_853 on this one all the way. This set is too big for its purpose and, aside from some slabs and an opening cab door, does little more than 8270 from 2007 - which has faster outriggers, by the way!
  16. This set reminds me of 8248 from 1998, which, funnily enough, I built when I was a kid. 42079 even has the same models: a forklift and a tow truck. Granted, 8248 is a bit more futuristic, though.
  17. A scraper would be great. Along with combine harvesters, space shuttles and submarines they're among the rarest Technic subject matter, having only appeared in two sets as B-models (8453 and 42023).
  18. There's a storage area on the front of the crane chassis in front of the turntable.
  19. It's definitely a fusion of those two machines, with some original design (the cab placement for example) thrown in. The sheer innovation and boldness of 42080 are certainly points in its favour.
  20. I think the macaroni pieces are a bit overdone here, and I get the feeling the designer (Alfred Pedersen?) just went nuts with them. Plus they're in a colour found nowhere else in the set. Maybe a few more parts in dark metallic grey would balance them out a bit.
