You can't go wrong with black and yellow. I even like the orange as it's used on actual Volvo machinery.

Very cool! Has a Renault feel about it.

I totally agree with the review. Even when I saw the prelim image I thought it looked boring. Cohesive but boring. And just too big for what it is.

42082 is easily the least impressive so far. 42081 is still my (marginal) front runner, though I've softened a bit towards 42080, if only for the new parts and innovation far beyond '82. Looking forward to 42079 - it may be the decider.

Well done on the new job, Jim! Best of luck and hope you enjoy it. -
I'd be interested in seeing what magic @nico71 or anyone else can weave with 42080. It'll take some effort to make a C-model out of that look decent.

...although 42079's B model is superlative.

Loads of sets have functions that can be performed by hand when disengaged. The slewing on 42042 is exactly the same.

It might be a sleight-of-hand thing. The whole thing happens so quickly that it looks like the saw sliced the log.

Well, I'd be interested in seeing how that turns out.

New vid! Haven't watched it yet so can't comment, though. EDIT: Watched! Nice that the new valves offer proportional control but the saw is indeed completely pointless.
