  1. Order more! They're still in production thanks to the Ninjago Dieselnaut. The reds on my set are quite disparate; these are almost pink in comparison to some of the other parts!
  2. Fun fact: the secondary clamps on the buncher head are called accumulators. They hold already-felled trunks while the machine cuts down more trees (hence "feller-buncher"). Would've been cool to see something like that on 42080, given that we get two trunks.
  3. Saw this on the Ideas site. Very cool.
  4. I've noted matte and lustrous patches on flat Technic panels such as the 5×11 and 3x11, as well as the titular wavy lines. It's most noticeable on the black ones.
  5. Hey! You're using the red cone gears from the Dark Side Developer Kit! Cool, always wondered what they looked like for real.
  6. I mean that I just don't understand the idea or why TLG is doing it. "Creativity"? Appeal for adults? TLG has all this already. The Forma concept just isn't making sense to me.
  7. I still don't know what it is!
  8. Small Technic sets are good for that as well...
  9. I think they're the rubber pads for track links as seen in 42069.
  10. I don't see the appeal of this as it stands, and I'm not entirely sure where TLG is coming from here. Lego for adults? Think I have a name for that... It'll likely depend on what they do next. It might be interesting to see what animals or natural things are going to crop up in the future. Maybe an otter?
  11. For me, the Maaboo Scale of Set Size is as follows: Between 1-500pts = Small Between 500-1000pts = Medium Between 1000-1500pts = Large Between 1500-2000pts = Very Large Over 2000pts = Titan I'd say that the Large category is a sweet spot for me; it has great sets such as 42029, 42042 and 42053. Not too big, not too small.
  12. Sterling work Grum! Never doubted you.
  13. Hopefully it'll be like Lego England or whatever it was called and disappear from the web in a few days.
  14. This company is apparently headquartered in London. UK trading standards might have something to say about that...
  15. This is seriously cool! Great use of the bright green parts from 42039 as well. Did you base the build on a real truck as well? It looks like a real brand, but I just can't put my finger on which one...
  16. Oh come on! That's so not the ugliest! Nowhere near! On a completely related topic, here's this: I mean, look at it. I actually owned this set back in the day and every time I looked at it I couldn't get Shrek out of my head. I wonder why...
  17. I actually think the skidder is rather cool. It's the biggest and fullest-featured skidder ever made by TLG and looks good for something built from a completely different model. Here's a lovely competitor:
  18. Maybe if we say "images" over and over they'll appear.
  19. You'd need to be more specific on the Volvos, especially on the subject of loaders.
  20. 42004 was the set that got me into Technic.
  21. Don't forget that we had two loaders back in 2014. I wouldn't say subject matter puts much of a gap between sets in some cases. It could also be something to complement the 42080, like 42075 to 42068.
  22. I'm excited to see something of the Tracked Loader. At this point I'm suspecting that the attachment might not even be a bucket; it could be anything from a grabber to a tree saw, at least as far as compact models go.
