  1. The dozer in the picture has even weight distribution with a low-slung body. Nothing short of a meteor impact is gonna roll that over.
  2. The triangle tracks on 42094 look very cumbersome and not very well integrated, and they make the profile of the loader rather tall for little return in terms of stability. This thing would topple backwards if going up a hill. Dozer tracks may use a triangular setup, but the triangle itself is built low.
  3. Again, 8043 B-model! And doors are a vague concept in Technic at best, even in sets at 42094's scale. The A-model doesn't have doors either, so that point isn't too stable. Anyway, I don't think we're getting anywhere with this. 42094 is a construction/engineering/forestry vehicle of reasonable size in a 1H lineup, which is rare these days, so that means I'll probably get it anyway. There are things about it that I'm not keen on at this stage, like the utterly inaccurate tracks and somewhat weedy grabber, and I will continue to point them out if anyone wants to debate them. The body is more or less correct, at least at the angle given on the box, so there is that.
  4. See: 8043 B-model. Accurate. Authentic. And that was a B-model. 42094 is an A-model and TLG should have had more to work with. Not to mention it looks hideously impractical. The access steps to the cab are nine feet off the ground!
  5. Authenticity. If this were an out-and-out futuristic model, then fine. But from the detailing and style this is supposed to be a modern-day vehicle. It should look like one.
  6. There is no existing model of tracked loader upwards of compact models that uses triangular tracks. Large models use flat tracks.
  7. I was 8 when 8446 was released in 1999, funnily enough. I did want it, but I think Rock Raiders took over my priorities for that year...
  8. The mining truck from 42060 looks swell. I'd definitely like to try that.
  9. No. That tracked loader looks like something for use on Mars.
  10. Nice job, Markiewicz! It's just like the real thing. The ROPS technique on the cab really goes with 42080 and 42094 as well.
  11. They have turned down some awesome stuff, true. Anyone remember poor Shaun the Sheep?
  12. I actually like 42065, but to have a near-repeat of it so soon doesn't speak well to the current innovation level at TLG. Maybe designing those fish cost too much.
  13. No, I think this is TLG being repetitive and lazy. It started with Star Wars and now it's apparent with Technic.
  14. That tracked racer looks pretty rubbish. Really disappointed as I thought (hoped?) that it would feature tractor tyres or maybe even smaller versions, like the classic RC Rebound.
  15. No, loads of logging machinery is yellow. Tigercat, anyone?
  16. The final design will most likely be something akin to the background of 42080.
  17. I've been running comparisons with 42094 against real-world models of tracked loaders, and I cannot find anything resembling it. 8043-B was damn near photorealistic!
  18. Funnily enough, the fabled Bionicle "tooth" was first used as an eye. Great to see it in yellow again though! Plus more macaroni is always welcome.
  19. Wonder what the B-model is? Yes, now that I know the A-model, I'm onto that subject...
  20. Now this is the sort of set TLG should be doing! Excellent stuff.
