  1. When it comes to futuristic trucks with lifting equipment, 8446 reigns supreme for me. Oh well, it may well have a contemporary successor:
  2. Very cool! I hope 1H2019's Tracked Loader is something similar to this.
  3. Ha! This is epically cool. Wonderful job and excellent use of tan and brown panels. You've proven that there's a place for them in Technic.
  4. Looks a bit like a JCB Teletruk or an Ausa Tauralift to me. Considering the parts in 42080, I think @Dyen has done a superb job here.
  5. I like the rear. The curved panels and macaroni parts go brilliantly together.
  6. What did you pick? Forklift should have been an easy choice.
  7. PF elements are expensive enough already; we've seen the effect on the prices of 42065 and 42070. I don't get it, personally. Why is TLG doing this? EDIT: I do know. TLG is attempting to compete in a market in which children are glued to mobile devices, and they're making a strain of PF that can exploit that. It's still questionable logic as far as I'm concerned. Didn't this slavish scramble to be relevant nearly kill the company way back when?
  8. Subliminal messaging. I knew it would happen sooner or later.
  9. That is unusual practice for TLG, given that the near entirety of recent engines in large models have been hidden under hoods or completely buried under structure, never to be seen again. This H2 has been somewhat subversive, what with 42079 and 42082's engines being clearly visible.
  10. Motors spin at slightly different speeds even if they're identical types, so keep that in mind.
  11. Well. Guess TLG did their homework on this one.
  12. No, FB says something went wrong. I don't know if it's the link or the site itself.
  13. When I first saw this post, I thought the International in question was the Transtar truck like the one in The Terminator. Seriously though, this looks like a meaty project. I'm thinking large angled white panels, like the ones on the hood in 42077, would give the nose its shape.
  14. The chassis is gigantic compared to 42042's tracked undercarriage but I think that's about it. Nice photos though! Did you enjoy building it, @erikhortsch?
  15. Uh, there WAS a snow groomer in 2009. Also, the B-model of 42032 is a snow groomer. With a crane.
  16. Probably more time than it would take to just build the thing.
  17. You can NEVER have too many. Oh yippee, another pullback getaway thing. It's not Technic - just call it Racers, TLG!
  18. It's 1H 2016 all over again - a single engineering vehicle standing out amid a swathe of cars and aircraft. Good news for my wallet, and it means any H2 releases from this year can carry over. Cool.
  19. I haven't bought any H2 sets yet. Waiting for some Smyth's price reductions.
  20. Working winch. Outriggers. Two-stage boom. Slewing. 42082 does all this. So does 8270. That should tell you all you need to know.
