  1. I'm pretty slow builder, but I've been busy several months now building this two models at the same time. Used to be a huge fan of Peugeot for many years and upon my research I found there are not so much of Peugeots build in LEGO! Especially, knowing how everyone like B-group rally cars. So decision was made to build the Peugeot I like the most - 205 Turbo 16 (T16). White model is Rally version (so called Evolution, not the initial version). Yellow model was used in Pikes Peaks, which uses some extra huge spoilers. Both models were built featuring as much as possible details you can do in Technic, without utilising any PF. The main features to mention: "Brick built" 4 cylinder in-line engine. double wishbone suspension on all wheels 4 wheel drive with central differential No differentials on each axle (thanks to Thirdwig for idea I found in your Audi) Opening hood, doors (lockable) and engine cover Switching from tarmac/asphalt setup to gravel is quite easy - you just need to use different attachment point for spring on a wishbone. Gravel-ready version is 2 studs higher with 62.4 wheels. Rally model features spare wheel under the hood and fuel filling places. First challenge was to built a hood of brick instead of liftarms so it could close while keeping the wheel inside. Other "brick" based challenge was the front and back with grills and lights. This was nightmare! Engine bay includes engine (how obvious!), exhaust system with turbo, intercooler and air filter. "Most important picture" not that important. All shafts are hidden inside the body, as in real car. The part I'm mostly proud of. It is a free form (in terms of Technic) but still sturdy enough to keep its form while operating an keeping removed from body. Oh, and I love that HUGE spoiler. Full roll cage is present as well. Pikes Peak version is one-sitter, while rally version has two seats. This tiny half pin keeps the door closed! More pictures on Flickr. I'm looking further to create a Dakar version too! not sure if white or yellow one thou. Stickers and building instructions for one of the models is something still in consideration. Hope you like it too!
  2. I find most of my recent orders with used parts have one or two pieces that are broken (cracked). This is not something you can see until you actually use the piece. I think there was an issue once, where seller didn't cooperate. Most of the time seller can ship a good part (if it is essential in your order) or you can agree to with a partial refund for the broken piece (in case ordered part is minor). All happened within the EU.
  3. Great progress. Will your model have opening doors?
  4. Still there are quite a few pieces in white that are hard to get or cost a fortune. While I like expanding colour range, but I would better stick to getting larger piece variety in same colour (i.e. some basic pieces are missing or HTF in red, white, yellow and blue). All other shades of red, yellow, blue and green can wait.
  5. While 8366 has more parts I'd take 8475, here's why: 1. 8475 has some of pieces in hard to get colours (red shock absorbers, Black axle pins) 2. greater number of pieces in 8366 are in Light Gray, which is pretty much useless these days 3. 8475 has 8 tyres in two sizes, rather than 4 of one size in 8366 4. seems like 8366 doesn't have a suspension at all. That's what kind of decision I made before acquiring 8475. Now I'm passively looking for 8366.
  6. That's a silly question, but I hope you are not trying to extend/compress your pneumatic element manually while at least one of its end is attached to pneumatic system?
  7. The concept won't work well with ball joint as it would be too stiff. Pole reverser handles will be just half stud/beam into Axle Connector 2 x 3 with Ball Socket, so I suspect they won't keep very well.
  8. So you basically can almost built 8421-like set from Arocs? That is pretty awesome!
  9. @Blakbird, do you build in MLCad or any other software? There's no such thing as "building in LDRaw". LDCad, which uses LDRaw part library, has part snap feature and is quite easy to use, even for odd angles
  10. Just to add to last couple responses: Sandcrawler's box is ~5cm thicker than Arocs'. Check Bricklink.
  11. If body is will be added later then shocks should start to work.
  12. I'd say just a month! If you ask me - 2nd option looks best with red panels
  13. That card dealing in 4.7 seconds looks amazing.
  14. It looks more like Ferrari made LEGO create those covers, otherwise design wouldn't be signed of for sale.
  15. Those wheel covers have been used on 8068 model too. Which motor "Large motor on crane truck" are you referring to?
  16. My first Technic set probably, 8815. So much nostalgia.
  17. Probably 8675
  18. Isn't that, a sort of modified MB Arocs model type, released just half a year ago but under different brand?
  19. There's a topic for this kind posts
  20. If you get rid partially from manual steering it looks like there is some space inside for two M-motors (one for drive, another for steering) and small Battery Box. Sorry, I couldn't help you with exact steps.
  21. I'm storing my brick in multiple of such cases. The good thing they have sections that can be removed and help customising cases for my needs.
  22. Excellent looking car! Does it mean you have sequential gearbox in D position? Yeah, I thought too I have enough of those black pin with hole. More on their way to me now.
  23. Not always, sometimes I buy some sets just because they are reduced in price. Such way TLG gets less, but more often. There is saying I know, which is hard to translate, but it goes something like: it is better to sell something 20 times for 1$, than none but for 20$.
