It looks really well! Looking at the render right now it seems like the model had a slightly higher clearance (by 1 stud?).

Picture would greatly help.

I think the reason there is a confusion differentiating the springs is due to lack of an easy way finding their stiffness. Some sellers do not differentiate between close but obviously different moulds of the same part, which is kind of easy to spot. Can you imagine such person would be getting into hassle finding out which spring is used in a shock? I doubt it. It is easier to spot the difference once you have one of each type. But you have to have them, which might not be always the case.- 5,507 replies

Well, people come from different time zones. You have posted your topic late night for guys in Europe and followed up on a morning, which is when everyone are getting to their work, etc.. This time I assume, from my experience, is the least busy during the day. I would start worrying after full 24h cycle without any replies. -

@AmperZand What's your country? As it is not clear which way you expect your orders to be delivered. Especially the problem with Netherlands is strange (I had no issues here). Assume not in Europe? -

Accidentally, last year's Porsche doesn't look that bad despite being separate, ultimate, Technic set. Even the colour is somewhat nice (I've expected non-orange). But this.... this is back to 2000's. We already have Technic-like SW figure sets again, so Slizers, Speed Slammers or RoboRiders should be expected next year? -
Your backdrop seems to good. I'd say you need more light. If that is somehow not possible there is an alternative if you have a tripod. In this case you could use higher exposure and setting photo capture delay by few seconds. The idea here is to get as much light as possible, but you need to make sure camera doesn't move.

It is just me then, probably, parts in both DBG ang LBG lookalike pale to me, as there's no high contrast between them. A good example of nice colour differentiation is the "brick" in General discussion section. Not sure the intention to use "Red" for some topics. Red + any of grey would work much better for the case above. -

While I know this, I still, somehow, getting confused with LBG - my brain keeps thinking is "already read". How about using these connectors just in Black (commented in topic) as it has good contrast and DBG (not commented) which is slightly lighter than Black instead? -

We, mostly all, agreed sometime ago that TLG shouldn't release Porsche-like high-priced sets each year. As this would made "Ultimate" sets less ultimate and our purses empty. Special 40th anniversary set on the other side, would be awesome to have. -
He didn't have time to inspect minifigures properly. I suspected Ninjago to be the clone as this theme is more popular.

You can also put a reflective piece on the right side to give more lighten up the darkest place. -
You can find more on Bricklink. If you mean Remote Control (not Radio Control) sets, then there are few more PF enabled sets, like 8275, 9398, 41999, 42030.

I think you have already a good start. Instead of spending more money on camera gear I would suggest focusing on lighting setup - extra lights, reflectors and screens. Shooting on cloudy day is another great option that hardly requires any investment, like a reflector to give some light from opposite model side. Crop, brightness and contrast adjustment in Photoshop/GIMP is also recommended. -

I'm sure different mould is used for clear piece, since it is made different plastic. TLG uses different moulds for same part even if they are different colours. My explanation for "frosted" piece would be the fact that this parts has higher surface area and all scratches would be easy to spot, even the minor ones. Frosted texture isn't affected by minor scratches, so the part would look good longer period of time.- 5,507 replies

In case you are really strict with "never posted anywhere previously" thinking - Flick allows you to upload picture privately (so nobody can see it) so you can later share it in designated EB topic. Normally, "never posted anywhere previously" means it should be a fresh creation, completed specifically for certain contest. Posting creation online a day before contest starts is considered "already posted somewhere".

That panelling work is great, but the roof is amazing. At first I thought it would be flat, but the end result is just awesome.
