  1. Thanx...it wasn't that much time expensive - this 640x360 sized picture with the custom camera focal blur settings (defined manually in the .ini), several lights (4 from LDD-to-Povray GUI + additional custom one defined manually in the .ini) and my custom background trick in place took me about not more than 3 hours (without the focal blur it takes like 2 hours), on 6-core 3,2GHz AMD machine with 8GB DDR and quite simple rather low-end VGA ATI Radeon 4600 with passive cooling on Windows 7 64bit. . + also need to add that I actually edited the materials too so it is a bit more work but I guess the results earned it...at least for me BTW: this is the one that took 2 hours to render...
  2. See, actually it is no problem for me that much, so stay cool and fresh...or...something mkeeey...
  3. #691509 Ionosphere Absorber by bublible - LXF
  4. guys, I am only in OFFLINE MODE from the first time I got to LDD, and I have absolutely no problems whatsoever, so it deffinitely have to be something with LEGO updating server...at least I think so
  5. I wonder: why is this post here, wasn't this supposed to be in LEGO SCI-FI forum here http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showforum=23 ?
  6. from my experience it happens mainly with flexible hoses, ie when editing my model LDD prior to saving it shows no errors, but after reopening that annoying error message about "...some bricks were removed because bla bla bla" appears. But I also noticed it with tyres, simply I always CTRL+A >> Delete, and than all back with CTRL+Z = if there were problems like this it would reappear the error message right after bringing those previously deleted bricks back...just be careful not to save you model while your bricks are temporarily deleted...in such case I cannot help you, sorry
  7. there really is something very catchy in this Elves theme, I have to admit (comming from Space theme myself)
  8. Hey guys, you know what? Finally solved it to the point I am absolutely satisfied with (as for the possibility of the "gradient background" for our photorealistic render in POV-Ray, or even better said: ability having smooth cross between the baseplane and background without that hard horizon separating line...voila, here we go...after a half year of testing and trying! :D) - this is one of my latest MOC renders with my "backround trick" applied...
  9. super review and pics - thanx
  10. Chima ce bears look pretty cool
  11. haha, at first I did read it as "Elvis 2015" but the "playmat"...wow,,extremely beautiful,,if they only make something like this also for other themes, especially SPACE...I would buy several of them right away!
  12. I am affraid that some LEGO designers are repeating LEGO's previous already used design concepts...like they are walking in a circle still for some time now (that is probably the price of having so many themes...like some sets from Ninjago and Chima looks similar, they like almost even used SPACE ADU "big blue vehicle" blueprints for one of upper sets etc.), quite disappointing for me, ah.
  13. fine set and review...simply I like when some of LEGO designers are able making really interesting almost minimalistic like concept/set with only a few bricks in the actual box that it is almost wonder that they were really able to do it now that is what I cal geniality...
  14. that agent's vehicle design is simply outstanding, perfect (tho the wheels-turned-engines concept was used years ago in "Maximal Security" set from Space Police lll)...and I am quite jealous that this was not in my beloved SPACE theme
  15. just now I see you used "wrong" white wheels not suited for the purpose but that is really some unique feature of limuzined aero-snowtanks, I gues...beautiful, haha.
  16. Insectoids and CMF Evil Mech are also good ones too
  17. ...definitely
  18. >> ...searching Google? Sorry but personaly having none of such samples...
  19. Kind of Galaxy Squad spacecraft clone, isn't it (bricks used, color combination...)? P.S.: ah, nevermind, only now I noticed you are stating that in the model info text, haha...nice
  20. very good except all those additional stickers - I hate stickers on LEGO, brrrrr...sorry
  21. this color combination - mostly yellow with bits of black - reminds me of a LEGO Basic set #744 I was working on lately...nice model tho
  22. fine, I saw something of this kind of concept somewhere tho...hmm, I guess some of LEGO's Ninjago or Chima sets, not sure of now
  23. But whyyyyy...why you have to kill some prehistoric dyno to make a spacecraft from it? Anyway, strangely good idea/concept...I guess some Danniken fans (being myself one of them) would scream from thrill keep it going, my archeoastronautic friend Ya, the SW front canopy is a bit disappointing comparing to whole good concept, anyway there is still space for improvements for everyone of us, no big prob here actually
  24. hey, Bob, this should be called "Space Cobra" - definitely! And again I can say I like it for its abstracts shape of "S" and the lower part fuselage
