  1. Where's Uncle Owen? They've got the Modal Nodes member on there...
  2. I thought Darth Revan was pure EU? ...and the point was that people pining for EU sets need to give up that dream now.
  3. Sometimes it's folks who usually work in a different theme that come up with the most unique solutions. Like Ninjago fans who build something for Star Wars in a way nobody else would think of.
  4. Yeah, the still pictures don't can't do justice to the ingenuity of that setup/breakdown. I was also surprised to see that the cars on the arms rotate continuously, as I couldn't see any shafts/gears in the pics extending out that far. That said, I'm not 100% sold that this should be Creator / Creator Expert instead of City. (Heck, they're not even talking about it down on the Creator section of the forum.) I'm not thinking must-buy, but I'm definitely intrigued.
  5. Um, I quoted the whole article in the rumors thread, and that isn't exactly what they said... Yes, the 6 movies and TCW are canon, but that's all that ever was officially canon before. Only the projects that Lucas was directly involved in were ever canon. As for all the EU stuff, they haven't said that it is thrown into the garbage, but rather that they reserve the right to incorporate whatever they want from it into future projects. They already said that Seinar Fleet Systems, the Imperial Security Bureau and The Executor will all be incorporated into SW Rebels. We already have heard hints that the sequel trilogy will involve the Solo and Skywalker kids, so they could very well be the same characters, just having different adventures. With Lawrence Kasdan heavily involved in this script, I'm not terribly worried that things will go as poorly as some things did in the prequel trilogy.
  6. Wow. Now I wish I had actually gotten this series.
  7. Well, it's semi-official, again. TCW, the six movies and Rebels are canon, everything else isn't... Sort of. They may use things they like from EU, such as Seinar Fleet Systems, the Executor and the Imperial Security Bureau which will all factor into Rebels, but until EU stuff is reused into future movie or Rebels, it's off the table. This will clearly effect future LEGO lines, as we probably won't get any more EU sets or figures unless they pop up in future plot elements. From today's Variety:
  8. If it's the same sets in the US, I could definitely consider getting the Falcon for 15% off...
  9. Yup. You can build GG cheaper by just buying all the bricks via BL, PAB and BnP.
  10. That's weird, but it does mirror many similar R/L price discrepancies on BrickLink. There are plenty of doors where a right is double the price of a left, and vice/versa. The BL difference is due to scarcity... Maybe there's something similar going on at BnP?
  11. Um... That's the standard form letter e-mail when any product suggestion is submitted outside CUUSOO/Lego Ideas.
  12. I don't even care for MF generally, but it's far away the best Microfighter. Second place is a distant second, IMO, but I'm going to say ISD. It also is the one that makes the most sense to pair up with MF based on movie scenes.
  13. Well, I finally got that last hinge bottom, and my GG is complete. Kind of funny that I started this right after FB, and built GE, TH, PS, PC and PR while working on GG and waiting for GG. I guess I ought to take a picture.
  14. I think each S@H website covers a region, not always just a single country...
  15. A long time ago, I built a model of a TIE Fighter... Like 1979 long time ago. One of the optional configurations was that you could attach (glue) the access hatch in place either open or closed. TIE Fighters are entered from the top through what is represented by the round printed dish on a LEGO model. I think the only reasons the front also opens is so we can get our fingers in there to seat the pilot, and because attaching the dome-shaped canopy any other way is currently impossible. So, for accuracy, your access bridges don't technically need to wrap around the front of the wing so the pilots can climb in the front. Apart from that one admittedly very nitpicky observation, I think that TIE Fighter bay is AWESOME! Love the support column so the wings don't touch the deck.
  16. Jawas wear hooded robes. They look weird because they (Jawas) are so short and the robes are very long. The capes were weird because they gave some appearance of "flow", but only in the back.
  17. No. Some websites and media outlets get advanced distribution so that reviews like this can be produced shortly before the sets go on sale.
  18. Same picture we've been looking at for a couple months now. It looks ok, but it isn't famous as architecture. It's artistically important as sculpture.
  19. Pretty sure it's going to be an exclusive for a while.
  20. It's a bad translation. The ride is part of the Creator Expert line, not a modular.
  21. Bump for blog! Also: does it swoosh?
  22. I dunno. The exterior of GG is perfectly fine all the way up... The interior of those upper floors though? It's pretty bad when a highlight is a radiator-type heater.
  23. If you go to the BnP area of Lego, you can see all the parts that are available at that moment through BnP by set number. The PaB inventory changes too often for any list that someone generated previously to be of real use to you right now. You can also add all the parts from a set to your wanted list on BL all at once. Then if you click the tab for 'By Shop' you can sort by which store has the most parts you are looking for, then add them all at once to your cart, store-by-store. If you want to limit your results by new bricks only, or only stores in your country, there are options to do that and more.
