    Some parts that might substitute for the MB part(s), at least maybe in some combination. I haven't worked with any of these to know how well they'd go together.     ^agreed. I know that I read that they (Disney) were carefully going through the EU novels and wanted to incorporate as much as possible into canon, but needed to review it for paradoxical issues.

    ...but buying Fire Brigade from Amazon doesn't get you any points... Although, I run a pretty good deal when I buy LEGO online: Delta Skymiles Shopping works with S@H, so you can get 1 mile / $1 spent, plus one VIP Point / mile spent... Then, if you use a Delta American Express, you earn double miles... And during Double Point periods, you can earn double miles AND double points. Which is nice.

    I do not believe that they are the same exact scale as baseplates with roads, just based on the dimensions.

    I'm done building GG apart from the 19 black modified tiles that hold the flat parts of the fire escape and one hinge bottom for the front of the cupola. I am doing sone tiny mods: They apparently do make window glass for the train windows on the angled part of the turret, and I've turned the frames around in anticipation of putting those in place. The other is that I've put doorknobs on all the doors to be more similar to the rest of the series. ETA: Got the parts in for and assembled the fire escape together today. I wish I even had a hinge bottom I could borrow out of another set to use even temporarily, but everything else seems to be horizontal hinges or clicky-hinges. So the roof, and the entire set, is exactly one brick away from completed. At least the seller has already sent it on, but no US seller had 5 of them, so I had to go with a European seller, thus the missing brick is coming all the way from Germany.

    As much as I spent this month, I am just going to have to deal with it. I might let the Fourth Be With Me far enough for the sandcrawler, but then I'm done until Trevi Fountain and the Summer Star Wars wave. I've gone 100% authentic parts, why stop that just as I get to the very end?

    Well, I can actually build pretty far while I wait for those... I'm up to step 20 of book 2, and I've had to work around 7 missing 1x1 black tiles on the baseplate and I won't be able to do the fire escape until I get those modified tiles, but since that's all on the outside, I'll be able to keep going at least until I get to the remaining 5 sand green hinges. I had finished book 2 of PC last night, but book 3 can wait while I work on GG. They all fit so nicely on that dresser, with just enough room for PC... Which is all good until January. :)

    You went nuts? Since April 1st, I have bought: Town Hall, Pet Shop, Palace Cinema, and as of about 1AM today, Parisian Restaurant. I am one of the people who has heard from Lego Store managers (two of them, different locations) that Town Hall is next. That certainly doesn't guarantee that it is next, but at this point, I'll be surprised if Grand Emporium does disappear first.

    Gah! My last two orders from TLG arrived, and I must have missed a dropdown, because I need 20 1x1 black tile with vertical holder, but I got one. So... Yet another BrickLink order I must place. I'm at 308/311 lots, and I actually have at least a couple of each part on hand, and two of those three arrive tomorrow. Frustrating though, knowing I'm so close.

    I saw his, which is why I didn't quote either of you. :) The tracking info on my last few orders has everything arriving this week, so I should finally be able to complete GG this weekend.

    Could at least part of the reason the Ghost's interior is lacking be that we really haven't seen it yet?

    Multiple dogs and cats, plus a rat/mouse... Duplo has had dozens of animals across several zoo type sets, too.

    I have a few Star Wars UCS and the Creator Expert Space Shuttle sets around my desk, Architecture sets coming out of my ears, London Bridge and SOH plus system Star Wars all on display in the guest bedroom... The modulars are just lucky that I was able to make room for them on that spare dresser. :) No idea what I'm going to do when next January rolls around, but I guess it will be decided once we know if it's a corner, straight or a double like PS.

    My sand green 1x2 slotted bricks have arrived... Not that my stupid original PAB order for all the dark bley tiles and light bley 1x2 and 1x6 tiles has arrived, which keeps me firmly stuck at the current spot I've been at for a week now.

    So the general consensus is about what I figured? Numbered bags for large sets is good, but kind of silly for small sets... Yes? :) I do like the parallel build idea, I hadn't considered that, but it seems more like a big set thing, anyways.

    I need to move my SOH to my dresser so I can have enough room for the rest of the modulars... Although I do have four done now that I finished the other half of the pet shop, I guess I could take a picture. ;)

    I hope you didn't feel some need to justify your purchase/build order to a guy who has built 3.5 modulars, bricklink'ed another and has 1.5 more in line to be built, in about a month, all while being an unemployed, full-time college student. :)

    Snagged another microfighter today to push my double-points over 700 from a pair of modulars and a small Friends set to get the freebie. (The Clone Tank, so the only one I don't have now is the AAT.)

    What is on top of the other half of the Pet Store? ...and while our modular rows are very similar with the same buildings including the partially built GG, I got PC today instead of PR.

    Trevi Fountain is showing up on Amazon UK, Italy and France as "usually ships in 1-2 months" if anyone is interested in pre-ordering.

    That's also part of what I mean... "Kids" today have instant gratification on everything, and now they are getting their LEGO building spoon-fed to them for faster builds, too.

    I think I'm going to grab PS before double-points expire. Not sure if I can swing PC as well, but another 600 points on top of the 400 for getting TH on the first...
