  1. Agreed, 100% about how the Ecto-1 was nearly ready for release at the time of CUUSOO submission. I read somewhere that the Exosuit, although gorgeous, is very flimsy/unstable, and thus has been very difficult to develop a final production model. Also: <3<3<3 how even with great subtlety, those minifig faces for Stanz and Venkman are easily recognizable.
  2. TLG is going to have a hard time keeping this on shelves for a while. My local LEGO store sold through their first shipment in two hours yesterday.
  3. Just wow. You can see that Waller's design remained mostly intact, which is nice. Shame that the biggest change (IMO) is the cosmetic one of substituting metallic silver for the chrome parts. A Caddy's got to have chrome!
  4. ^True, this sighting is. With the typical grain of salt, my local LEGO store manager said that I lucked out and got the last Millennium Falcon last night and there aren't any more expected. It was definitely the only one in the store, as it was shelved in front of a stack of Republic Gunships.
  5. ^I would like to see a MOC that combines multiple Corporate Tank Droids. :) Call me a bad LSW fan, but I went to the LEGO store and walked out with no LSW sets, just Benny's Spaceship, spaceship, SPACESHIP!
  6. Just started this last night... It starts awfully square for a round ship. ;)
  7. I almost suspect that they did a larger run than usual, as there are still dozens of 2013's WV set on the shelves at my local LEGO store.
  8. 7965 Millenium Falcon 75002 AT-RT
  9. Went to the LEGO store. TLM Summer wave was on the shelf starting today, and Benny had sold out by noon.
  10. Wow. That SSP dropship seems like a really good pricepoint... 884 pieces and EIGHT minifigs for $80? Wow.
  11. I suspect that Benny is blue because IIRC, the blue spacemen were less common, and thus he's that much cooler.
  12. Placeholder images until the sets are finalized.
  13. I don't understand the griping/complaining about Santa. It's a legend known across much of the globe, and particularly so in the traditional LEGO markets of Europe and North America. If you don't like Mr. Kringle, throw the figure away, give it to a kid who WILL appreciate it, sell it, or just don't buy the set. AFOLs seem to forget what it's like to be a kid, and that these are first and foremost, kids toys. I'm not religious and it doesn't bother me at all, because it makes sense.
  14. My initial reaction is that TLG wouldn't make a casino, but they did do Marina Bay Sands, so I guess it isn't completely impossible.
  15. Well... I added HH to my row of modulars. It is quite nice. Not sure it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, as it's been made out to be, but a lot of people seem to group it with the modulars.
  16. This might actually be my first Day 1 purchase. Drool.
  17. Wow. Did NOT know about the movable wings. Looks fantastic!
  18. If they don't leg print the officer legs, they could give us the boots using the two-color mold method used for Bart Simpson's shorts. Not only is that review video 25 minutes, but he has a second, separate unboxing video. You know, just in case you were worried that there wasn't enough detail in the review.
  19. There's an as yet unannounced VIP early release on the 15th, I don't believe that it has been confirmed that this is the set, but the other rumored possibilities (most often ECTO-1 or the Mini Cooper) haven't shown up on S@H yet, whereas the Mixer has, so we suspect it must be this one... But we can always be surprised with TLG.
  20. Love that double-decker streetcar!
  21. Unless the stickers on the fins are the same Saturn shape as the logo, I can't see sticker edges there. The slopes seem to be a mixed bag, with classic space logos printed and the rest as stickers. Either way, it won't stop me from buying this. That picture in the SciFi thread is pretty definitive. Some print, some stickers. At least the stickers seem to be printed on clear stock.
  22. Well, the pieces from BnP finally arrived, and my pair is built. One oddity I've learned though: You use two 1x1 modified plates in the back to clip onto the black lightsaber/bar and I used a 1x2 modified plate, thinking it would increase rigidity/stability... There is apparently enough difference in the clip thickness between the two clip types that I cannot fold the bike without the bar popping out of the 1x1 modified plate on the front half.
  23. Debated springing for the Sandcrawler today, but decided to wait, and instead bought the Haunted House which is rumored to be retiring soon and General Grievious's Wheelbike.
  24. Why does a sequel have to involve Finn? We could actually have a female child as the kid and still have most or all of the same LEGO themes, but start from Friends town (I know it has a name, but I can't remember it... Is it Heartlake?) and progress from there through the other themes. Maybe her dad is an AFOL and she brings her minifigs/minidolls downstairs to incorporate into the story.
