So it is. It will be three building steps in one whole PDF file, with each part list. At the moment I've building the chassis to control part and step order. Some issues I have to correct, but until now there aren't missing/double parts in the instructions, so I think the part list must be accurate. Within the building process I can see where to place all the PF cables and make a quick'n dirty drawing for the LSynth parts. I hope I'll have the final instruction file within this month Greetings Alex

Hi ritztoys, I speak from Markus53' Unimog with the two-gear freewheeling mechanism. I've already the instructions, but I can do further modifications with an air tank an double pump. It will be a multifunctional Unimog with possibility to attach other motorized functions, I've found the way to connect two IR Receivers on the cabin. The battery box is fixed on the load bed that will avoid the side leaning. There are still tests to do, and I want to modify and complete the instructions for the functions. So I'll maybe finish the final instructions at the beginning on April. Ok, what's an "Ultimate" Unimog? Difficult to judge.... Greetings Alex

Wow, thank you very much! High quality instructions and clear step order! By a quick view on the part list, I see that I've all necessary parts to build it. But I haven't the time now, as I'm building the Wing Body Truck to control the step part order and other errors. And I have to finish the "Ultimate" Unimog. But maybe later ....in summer.... Best Tires for General Use
afol1969 replied to JGW3000's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I agree with JM1971 too, the Tyres/wheels from 9397, 8258 whatever are the most used tyres for my projects, and I have a big stock of it that I'll never miss. Greetings Alex -
[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
afol1969 replied to Ickelpete's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I've got the 8275 for a reasonable price and I like it very much. Until now I didn't have to disassemble it to get parts for another projects, but it will arrive the day that I need parts of it to build Hans' Snowgroomer.... Greetings Alex -
Chassis, Cabin, Container. I've exported all pictures, now I must the organize them in one PDF file. For that I must take the whole MLCAD file in LPUB, but LPUB crashes by treating too large files. And I wait news from Alasdair, I've sent him the Chassis CAD file that he can create the LSynth parts. Greetings Alex

Finished the Cabin: As it is not so big like the Truck itself, I could use a smaller Page scale. Now I must see how I can combine the three Truck parts in the instructions, that they have their each part list. Greetings Alex

Thank you very much, that will help me to solve the problems with my modified unimog. I should it take as addition to the instructions, for better understanding the mechanism. Greetings Alex

Incredible work! Like your other Trucks too Surely one day I'll build one of your truck....but I've to buy a lot of non-technic parts Looking forward to you next projects Greetings Alex

Hi terenshi, Thanks for the beautiful pictures, you made a good job in building and taking photos. Yes, some people want to have real instructions with LDD, LDRAW whatever. But Madoca has made a VERY good job for logical an wellorganized photo instructions. I'm still working on LDRAW instructions for it, because I think, the Truck is one of the best MOC's I 've ever seen, that's simply worth to have real building instructions. So I started the big job, but I'll not have the courage/patience to do it without Madoca's photo instructions and blakbirds' CAD file. The Container I'll upload an update, the chassis I've just finished, and I've ordered the parts to build it, that I can control the instructions. The cabin I'll start soon, and there is still a lot of work to do for corrections and other details. It will be a three-part instructions, Chassis, container and cabin will have their own part lists. And I'll see if I 'll include one of your photos in the instructions Greetings Alex

Hi Kubavet, I've just finished stepping and organizing Markus53' CAD file for an RC motorized Unimog with two gear automatic and freewheeling mechanism. If you want, send me PM, and I can send you a provisional PDF file. There are still text notes and photos to do for the complete instruction I'll publish online in further time, so it may be a challenge for your if you don't have much experience in technic, and my instructions are not LEGO-like (1 part per step). And surely you have to buy additional PF parts. But there are more simple ways if you only want to have driving and steering, just google and look on some youtube videos. Greetings Alex

The cheapest way to purchase technic parts, imho, is buying sets. From them I've nearly get all, what I need. But recently I've purchased new PF elements on bricklink, and I've made the experience, that it will be more expensive than buying sets. So if you can get 7500 parts for 900$, do it! If not, sent me PM that I can buy the lot . I know, once a technic fan, you never have enough parts. Greetings Alex

Thanks very much for the review. Although the Mini-Offroader only contains 100 parts, a lot of them are good for spare, like the towball pins, the 5L thin liftarms with axle holes, 90° axle connectors. Interesting is the use of rubber bands instead of shock absorbers. I think, I'll buy it.... Greetings Alex

Hi folks, On my current project (Wing Truck chassis) I've noticed some difference in the number of the parts. There are five 13 and 5 beams shown in the BOM, but in real there are 6 of them. After controlled the CAD file I haven't found any command like Ghost, IGN etc. The part count in the step appears correctly, but not in the BOM. Any ideas? Greetings Alex

It's done! At least the chassis is ready to build. With part list included (same link in upper post #117) . I hope it will be accurate and there aren't missing or duble parts. Please have a look if all is ok, and let me know if there are still some issues to correct. It's still not perfect, I must see if I have to change some rotating angles for the electrical part placements. Still to do are text notes, especially for the electrical connections. I'll start now to prepare an additional CAD file for the electrical parts. @Alasdair: I'll send you the CAD file soon. Greetings Alex

I've found it! There was a type mismatch from a part name in the PLI command, so a missing part (in this case it was the polarity switch not shown in the part list) seems to create an empty space, whatever. Ok, it's allright now, sorry for my nervous reaction. Greetings Alex

Sorry Ryan, As I see your pictures, you're of course an LSynth master too So just let me finish the last steps, and I'll publish the CAD file for download. I really appreciate your support, a rendered picture with all electrical parts will be very nice. Greetings Alex
-
Hi Alasdair, You really want to do draw all the wires? If so, you should have some support from our LSynth Master Blakbird. I imagine that will be a horrible work, as I'd started to make first experiences with LSynth....and have given up! But I'm sure a rendered picture with all the electric parts with the cables will be very nice. But I'll prepare a file with all the connections. In different colors and Text notes which cable belongs to which place. Greetings Alex

What the hell is that? The BOM makes a big empty area. Anybody seen like this? Greetings Alex
