  1. I can give you now a first impression for the chassis instructions: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iwulthikoruhq8v/truck.pdf There are still corrections to do, but any suggestions are welcome. Legolintje gives me some support to realize the final instructions, which I very appreciate I still have not the necessary parts to build the truck (at least the chassis), but I'll have them soon, I must continue bricklinking.. ...and dismantel some sets. Because of the amount op parts I'm forced to split the complete truck instructions in three parts, with each own part lists. The page scale I use a landscape scale 14,95 to 10,4, the absolute limit that the complete truck appears on the page. Although I give my best to make perfect instructions, it's still possible that the part list will not be exactly the same from Madocas' list. But I think the importest thing is to build the truck accurate in design and function. For the lot of wires an motors I do not use LSYNTH, but I've found another solution to show the parts with the LPUB PLI command. It was a challenge, but I have it done. For the rest I use arrow notes and text. Last not least vor the wire placements you can use the photo instructions from Madoca. Is there any volounteer to step the cabin CAD file? Greetings Alex
  2. Fantastic MOC and great Video. How many parts does it have? Greetings Alex
  3. My deepest condolences. I don't find any words, it's so sad. Alex
  4. Hi all, Since I've found the ambition to work with MLCAD and making instructions, it's time to publish my own thread for my further instructions projects. As you know, some of them are already realized, and I have the status "LDRAW Builder" on my profile. The instructions are not from own MOC's, they are from others creations. I've (still) not the skills to create my own constructions, but can implant some little modifications. The instructions are based on photo or LDD instructions, which I've created and reviewed with LPUB for the final PDF files. The instructions so far: - Full RC 9397 Logging Truck (Chassis only). My first work, without LSynth, ghosts etc. - Ultimate 8043 (Jurgens' photo instructions organized with LPUB) - Extended Boom 42009 (created from LDD file) - Madocas' Wing Body Truck (from photo instructions) - Rotating Grapple (from 2LegoOrNot2Lego's photo instructions) - Markus53' motorized Unimog 8110 with two gear automatic system (CAD file stepped and organized) - RC 8-Leg Spider from Scott Pomeroy (Little modifications, CAD file organized) Coming soon: - Nico71s' Braiding Machine Next Projects in future: - Gergers' MK6400 crane - CP5670s' Annihilator If instructions are so far perfect, I upload them on bricksafe (see link in signature), keeping this thread up to date. Feel free to build, modify, suggestions are welcome. Greetings Alex
  5. Something news: As I don't like to make partial instructions from a complete model, I've continued the last weeks to step the complete Wing Truck chassis model. It was a hard work with 270 steps, but here the result: It will take another lot of work to bring in form with LPUB to create the instructions - and to correct some issues. I'm now collecting all necessary parts to build the complete Truck model in further time. Many thanks to blakbird for the CAD file Greetings Alex
  6. Excellent work! Another Moc in my "must-build" list A very good combination of technicand common parts, that gives a very good and realistic look. After a first check of the part list I've already most parts to build it, but that for a later time, I still have another projects for making instructions. Greetings Alex
  7. I like the new version with the Unimog tyres. Awesome construction! And many thanks for sharing the instructions. Another must-build! But before I have to buy parts again.... Greetings Alex
  8. I like the truck - not for building, but for spare parts , especially the red panels. I'll need them in my future projects. Greetings Alex
  9. So all work done for nothing? Oh my god....That's why I always save my work in serveral backups. @blakbird: As I have the CAD file from you, if I later have time I'll continue with the instructions. As the container file is already done, I can make the rest too. Greetings Alex
  10. Any news about the progress from the LDR instructions? Greetings Alex
  11. @Gee 100% agree! What do you have from lego, if you only stock unused sets? Lego ist for playing, constructing....and having fun I've some older Technik sets, but If I need parts, I dismantle them for new creations. And mix with other Lego sets. So I don't have originals. Who cares? Greetings Alex
  12. The updated MPD file you'll find in the link from my first post. The pictures I can make with 300 dpi, but without arrows and notes, because I don't want to spend extra time on this. But I can share a 300dpi file in my dropbox, if you want. Greetings Alex
  13. It's still on my build list, I've built the 8421xl, and recently the drawbar trailer with gosseneck, which I want to connect on the crane truck 8258. But I don't have the part list, the list on Han's page isn't complete, does anybody have the complete part list? Greetings Alex Edit: Forget the question, I've found it, I haven't seen that the excel file is created in more sheets.
  14. Hi Markus, Thanks for the new file. I've just finished the unimog chassis, from you instructions, I've eliminated all (hope it) issues, the biggest work ist made, next I'll make the rest of the submodels. Where did you made the changes? Only on the rear drive, or somewhere else in the chassis? If so, I've to rebuild it again. I think too for good offroad ability an L-motor will be better than an M-motor. I've extracted the rear drive: Greetings Alex
  15. Hi djshiver, Amazing work, and great job for doing instructions , I'm looking forward to them. I myself work on instructions for the motorized Unimog with automatic speed change from markus53. ( See this thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57543&st=1525 ) Hope I'll finish it in next 2-3 weeks. Greetings Alex
  16. Hi Lasse D, At first: The cement trucks look very good. I like the blue/white one, in my country they have exactly the same color design I'm looking forward to your instructions. Edit: I've just seen them on your page - high quality work :-)) Greetings Alex
  17. Hi Markus, I'm working on it. But it needs time, the Unimog is a very complex construction, like the Excavator 8043. As I have only one polarity switch, I must find another idea to switch between the functions. Maybe a 2nd BB, or better, a RC with changeover catch system. Greetings Alex
  18. Hi Markus, Your construction is very interesting, that's why I want to build your modification. But I haven't thought about the polarity of the motor. I'll try it again, now I've dismanteled the Unimog und start up again, while controlling each step with LPUB, later I'll make instructions of it. There are also some minor issues in your mpd-file, which I can correct. Can you send me a PM? Then we can discuss about further details. Greetings Alex
  19. Here the Link for the complete original file: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/markus434/Unimog/unimog2.mpd I've made some corrections and I've uploaded a new picture. The universal joiner have to be replaced by 3L joiners, and there was an 4L axle too much. I think too, that the speed change is made by lock/unlock the differential. Thats I've found out, and if so, functions are correct. But then it needs a catch to change the transmission ring, so some modification must be done.
  20. It seems to be a general issue placing the gears on wrong side. I had the same problem too. Really must look in the instructions. But if you don't know, you automatically place the gears in all same place. The friction can be solved by using tan pins, so it doesn't need stronger motors. Greetings Alex
  21. Yes, I've opened it, and built his model. But now I must overview the construction again. The portal axles work well with the M-Motors, so with these motors alone there is no problem. But I don't know at which moment the XL-Motor does work, if I turn it on, it directly interlocks with the 20-tooth gear driven by the differential. I think, both motors cannot work with different speed, that will damage the gears or the motor. Because the differential is driven by the M-motor two. Maybe the transmission ring must be placed in an exact position for well-working function. In next days I rebuild the model, and I hope I 'll find the issue. Greetings Alex Edit: Here ist the gear driving system that I've taken out of the MPD file:
  22. Hi Gee, Welcome on EB and happy New Year As you're coming out from your dark ages and make new steps on technic, I want to say that you're not alone with your problem. I'm not a Moccer, the highest I can make ist motorizing vehicles, but I still cannot built up a MOC from zero. I've my skills more in making instructions from modified sets with LDRAW than making my own creations. Will say I'm an instruction maker, but not a Moccer But all needs time, after first crap MOC's/Mods will follow better creations. Learning by doing. Whatever, I like your first "mickey mouse" MOC in post #54, especially the mix of old grey/light bluish grey It reminds me the years as I had made my first technic steps in my childhood, as I got the 853 car chassis. Greetings Alex
  23. Hi Jabo, Same here, I don't understand the freewheeling system clearly, and it doesn't work correctly in my Unimog. I'm reviewing and reorganize the steps for making instructions in a PDF file. Maybe I've made an error. But for control, I have to dismantle the Unimog again and rebuild it. I would send a message to Markus, but he hasn't the 10 posts that his message box does work. Greetings Alex
  24. Hi Markus, I've built your Unimog (very interesting modification ), but I've some problems with the functions. I would send you a message to describe the problem, but your message box seems not to work. Can you send me a message instead, then I can explain the exact problems. Sorry, my english is very poor, that's why I'll describe the problems in german. Greetings Alex
  25. Thanks for the feedback But after a second check I've seen that I've to add a rotation step in the callout on page 19, it's not very clear where to place the parts in the gear drive, I'll make the correction soon in beetween today and make the new file online on the same link. Edit: Update executed Another question: Has somebody start the instructions for the cabin? If not, I can make take the job too. Greetings Alex
