Can't wait to get this one ordered. I hope the flippers don't buy them all out too fast.

Vampire GT
Meatman replied to Kronos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I really love this in white/black roof combo. I dare to say that I like it better than the black model. Paul can you tell what parts need to be changed up to do this in white? I have it in red and would like to convert it to look like this, just want to make sure I order the right elements. I can see a few that are different. Great job on a great looking car! Daywalker, perfect name! I like this little stop motion gif too. -
I would imagine that they are the same rims that we had seen months ago.

Meatman replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
Meh, the inclusion of the minifigs is cool, but I still don't like the hood of the car. -

Custom power supply - an idea
Meatman replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I seen Paul(crowkillers) using a custom powerplug/9v contraption for his power functions motor at the Kidsfest show. I think he said that he bought the stuff at Radio Shack and it had 5 or 6 different voltage settings(I think up to 12v) and then can be unplugged from the wire lead and it had a 9v battery adapter in case he didn't have a power source. You guys come up with some great ideas. -
Unless you are an EXTREMELY big Scienece/NASA nut, I don't see this ever selling well.

'ATLAS mini model' reaches 10K on Cuusoo!
Meatman replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I never even seen this thing it's not bad, but nothing stellar. Congrats to the designer though. It is shame so many really great projects are sitting dormant on Cuusoo while the needed parts for them are going OOP. -

Announcement: MocPlans.com
Meatman replied to nychase's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
aqaz, you are kind of all over the place . No one has criticized you, they are just pointing out that not everyone out there enjoys building just their own models. You have come into the discussion and expressed your thoughts and criticized basically everyone who is supporting the mocplans idea because you think that people should build their own models. I am one of those people who loves to build, but does not have time to sit down and spend countless hours/days/months designing my own creations, and quite frankly one of the reasons why (which I am also not afraid to admit) is that I just don't have the talent to do so, despite having a engineering background. So I have no problems finding MOCs that I really like and building them. I am most certain that there are many more people out there like myself who can appreciate guys that go out of their way to make instructions available to the community. -
I can almost guarantee that a large majority of the sets will be bought up by people who have no love for Technic and will only be purchasing them for future resell.

WOW GREAT AVENTADOR!!! I have one thing that puzzles me though, on the pic with the chassis the driving ring extension is on the right side of the other driving rings, but on the underneath picture, it appears to be on the left side. Was that picture a mirror image of the original photo? Or am I just losing my mind?

The pros and cons of being an exhibitor
Meatman replied to ShaydDeGrai's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Paul, that is complete madness on the organizer's part. If you remember, I made the trip down to brickfair last year and your overall entire presentation was one of the most professional ones on display. Are LUGs no longer allowed to advertise their LUG or their address either? Sounds to me like whomever is in charge is shooting themselves in the foot. -

Caterham Seven
Meatman replied to Sheepo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I guess that I should have probably said the best in this heavy part usage style of Technic building. My comment wasn't really fair to the talented guys who build in a more traditional style. For that I must apologize. -

Dare I say this is the best technic car ever done by anyone? I love Caterhams. -
lambo,s twin brother
Meatman replied to Sardo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I wouldn't be too concerned unless he takes credit for it or sells it and doesn't credit you. Builders copy other builder's models all of the time. If anything, you should be thrilled that someone liked your design so much that they replicated it. -

I would also gladly donate money to him for his work as I do everyone else who painstakingly goes through the process of provided building instructions.
