  1. Have you actually built this? I think people like to see a physical build along with the rendered one.
  2. Yeah, just from the great pictures that he has posted, it should be fairly easy to figure out.
  3. That is a great point. Or like Paul said, there is no reason why they can't just sell the blue and silver parts. Many people would probably buy a second crawler. Only the 20,000 limited ones would have the special plate.
  4. Paul, congrats on the 3,000 at Cuusoo. Maybe people will start to take the project seriously now! Just read about it at technicbricks.
  5. I got my set and the box was completely damaged from the polybag inside.
  6. I actually like the design if the 9398 to the 41999. I think the colors make the 41999 more attractive than the overall design of it. Some of the motorcycles that Lego has done are in my opinion some of the nicest looking models. The street bike 8420 from a few years ago is gorgeous.
  7. Look at this insanity. An Ebay seller from Germany decided to part out the set. One Wheel and tire $30+ One Blue Panel $17+ One Curved Panel $13+
  8. I am really interested in knowing how many were actually sold so far between online and in the Lego stores.
  9. The metallic silver parts are painted and not molded in color ?!?
  10. I would bet it's more than one-half. I have to admit, when I got up this morning, I wanted to get another one for a future investment, but they were sold out. People that are flipping them for a $25 profit right now on Ebay are stupid if you ask me.
  11. I was just told from Lego shop at home that they may have taken in more orders than they had sets.
  12. Just got off of the phone with customer service to check the status of my order because it still says "customer service" that I placed last night for one 41999 and one Delorean set and they said that they might have oversold the number of 41999 sets that they had available.
  13. There have been quite a few Lego stores here in the states that have released the set early with no limitations on how many could be purchased at one time.
  14. How exactly does the front suspension work? I cannot figure it out.
  15. Despite the great review here that everyone is praising, I still feel this set looks very poor. I don't know if it is the ugly tires or what. The figures look cool, but this car is not very easy on the eyes.
  16. Oh no, not another thread about this set. I'll bite. The main draw for me is the color choice being so unique and the new wheels of course, but like you said, you are then limited in that color for other MOCs. I also really like the packaging which is I believe a first. This is no doubt going to be one of the sets that increases in value rather easily for anyone that is looking to make an investment. I am definitely getting one, but I am unsure what exactly I want to do with it.
  17. I wonder how much the weight of a body will affect it?
  18. I am not being cynical, I am being realistic. I also know that previous projects that got to 10,000 supports had people supporting under dozens of accounts, because I had seen them admit to it on various forums. You are correct in that Minecraft has gone on to be one of the most successful Cuusoo products to date, however, that isn't really saying much considering that it is only the 3rd product to make it and the first 2 were Japanese models that no one outside of Japan had even heard of. It was also the first project that passed and went into production that required 10,000 supports. If I am not mistaken the other ones only required 1,000, so it was a given that Minecraft would sell much better seeing as how it required more support. And you cannot compare a Multi Million unit selling video game or a movie franchise that grossed over a Billion dollars worldwide at the box office to an independent game with a very small fanbase.
  19. I think the fact that many people have no idea what this is may hurt it. I am sure the small fan base is there(which is how it got it's support) but it just doesn't seem very appealing to the casual Lego collector. The problem with fanbase projects like this is that people support just because of their loyalty to the idea or theme, but have no intentions of ever purchasing it. On the plus side, it is a rather small project which is what Cuusoo seems to be all about.
