  1. Thank you but I feel like I'm not making progress anymore, like I'm not trying enough new things. This ship was mostly a routine build. Someone has been watching my brickshelf The original plan was to make a complete double decker but I didn't like the proportions on this hull, it would have looked too narrow. In my opinion a prefab hull is not suitable for a double decker.
  2. 172C A pirate ship! This one is 100% lego (no costum sails and/or rigging) And it is probably the last ship I'll have built using prefab hull pieces. I used blue baseplates for presentation with blue transp. pieces on them... I need a lot more . I was at LegoWorld Copenhagen in Februari where I worked together with Morthen Poulsen to create a large pirate layout, he had around 50 000 transp. bits for covering the baseplates, it looked great. I have pictures but they're not of the best quality . But if that doesn't bother you, by any means, check them out: LW Copenhagen Pirate Layout! If you were wondering which ships are mine/his, check out the flags, he has them flying the wrong way. Morthen has more and better pictures but he didn't have time so far to upload them... Sadly there's no interior in this one, Due to time pressure (it had to be ready for Lego World) I had priorities. I could still do it later though. I have no clue about this ship's type. It's kind of unusual for a (partial) double decker to have only two masts. An oversized Ketch perhaps? I hope you like it, A decent one to end my era of prefab hulls I'd say . More pictures can be found in my brickshelf gallery. As for future projects; I'm expecting to have my hands full with the guilds of the brickseas (but that's a working title really ). And I may once again give this old lady another try;
  3. Nice colors, I like the curved shape of the shape, the cannon ports seem a bit less integrated in the design, perhaps smaller hatches (or less cannons spread out over the length of the ship) would make that look better. But that's just my point of view, nice work .
  4. Nicely done, I hoep you keep this updated, I've always wanted to do a ship battle scene myself but it's so much work and so much to think about . (allthough that may be because my ships are way too big for practically making a stop-motion ).
  5. Good question, I can't decide, both ships are terrible . If I would make a pick it would be one based on the parts they contain.
  6. I love it, nice piece of painting with that doors, a roller is much more effective than a brush
  7. Nice! I love all the angles and curves, that interior is pretty awesome as well .
  8. It's coming along nicely, I would think the yellow and tan wouldn't look good together but It seems to work out just great. I noticed you may be intending to make some kind of grates in the center of the ship, using the half fences SNOTted on headlight bricks. I don't know what it is but this technique just won't work whenever I try that, the construction never fits.
  9. A very interesting hull technique...With a very nice result! I like that smooth shape, The rigging is extremely detailed, as usual, nice work.
  10. I'm excited about this review (obviously ). I don't know much about license mechanics but I'm optimistic.
  11. Very nice, I love her shape, normally I'd say I'd like to see her in real bricks but judging from those pictures I'm assuming it's not possible. The sails aren't attached, are they?
  12. Nice progress so far, I liked the game and the ship, keep it up .
  13. The Lego Ideas project of the Flying Dutchman achieved 10 000 supporters . link Will the legendary ship ever finds it way into the stores?
  14. Present all Saturday and Sunday, along with my submarines, cars and other vehicles .
  15. Didn't see that coming...not There's seems to be a nice collection present on the web already, maybe Il'l make a contribution
  16. She's a beauty, I like the gentle curve on the stern, good work on the rigging as well, I like the addition of staysails. Great job on this one!
  17. Slightly ? Very nice, that path to the entrance of the fortress is pretty sweet, a fortress Island is on my to-build list as well.
  18. I've made a few a while back; The Beauty; And my brick brick brig; The Zephyr (because the deck is built out of brick bricks) I suppose you could find them all in the index but it's still nice to see them sorted on hull size.
  19. SHe looks nice, I like the gentle curve of it, will I see it at BM Antwerp next month?
  20. It does remind me of the Armada Flagship, Interesting hull, would be very suited for an Asian ship type, like a Junk (not junk, a junk ). But it looks great on this one too, I think I'm going to try some small hull ships too in the near future, keep em coming .
  21. It has been quiet indeed, I'll try to stirr up everyone...including myself .
  22. Woot! I'm a winner . Looks like the underwater themed exo suits were quite popular, unless I'm mistaken and one of them was a randomly chosen entry. I loved this contest. And thanks for the prizes, a nice surprise .
  23. Nice little ship, a brig usually has a taller second mast (the second mast taller than the foremast). It might classify as a square rigged ketch, (which would be nice because there aren't a lot of those around here). But I'm not complaining, I never do when I have a baguette in my hand . Nice presentation bassin .
  24. LDD sais there are 1632 pieces but that's without the upper masts and booms, the cannons, the minifigures part of the quarter deck and some finishing bits. In the end I'd say it will still be under 2000 pieces, which is suprisingly few for a ship this size actually.
  25. I have one as a matter of fact but it may not be what you're looking for. I made a digital version of my latest ship so you could use Lego Digital Designer as a building guide to replicate it; (link) (Building instructions at the end of the first post) It's the only one I've made instructions for though.
