  1. A daring color scheme but I have a good feeling about it, that anchor is awesome by the way.

    Jack Tales

    Nice little vignette, I like how you fixed the sword in the sand.
  3. These are great comparison pictures, I think the Queen Anne's Revenge looks a lot more dynamic than the Imperial Flagship.
  4. Lovely, pirate couple in a garden, I haven't seen that before :p
  5. awesome, building from the waterline is a good idea, great for seabattle diorama's prefab hulls are too small for a ship-of-the-line anyway, keep it up
  6. is that the Interceptor from pirates of the caribbean ? anyway, I'll try some costum sails but the real problem now is that I'm short on mast parts originally I wanted to make a frigate with three masts. When I have some more lego (soon) I'll improve the sail plan, thanks there's no interior though it was perfectly possible, should have thought about that, I'll make an new version of this ship sometime
  7. 112B Din's fire; I gratefully have made use of Captain Green Hair's Tutoral (how to build a frigate). The ship has a working capstan (used to haul the anchor) and the hold can slide open, that last feature might not have been a bright idea, it had a grave influence on the gun deck and steadyness of the masts. Be sure to check out those features in the . I'm not really satisfied with the sail plan though. (more pictures on Mocpages.com)
  8. Most seaworthy ? The Skull's eye Schooner of course. The imperial flagship can't even sail seas with its headsail attached like that. The Skull's Eye Schooner has its steering wheel connected to the rudder which means it can actually steer AND is has a compas so it won't get lost at sea so easely, I don't see those features in the imperial flagship. The sails themselves are nicer on the IFS but considering the rigging and how it is attached to the ship the SES conquers over the IFS again. Really, the imperial flagship might be bigger and is a very nice ship but when judging on seaworthyness there should be no doubt that the Skull's Eye Schooner is the better choice.
  9. sure looks cool, the review was very helpfull, I'm a bit disappointed in the minimal rigging but I like the colors of the ship, I will either buy it or wait for the black pearl
  10. I'm really really curious about the black pearl, not only the set but also in the movie, since it seems the black pearl transformed into queen anne's revenge http://entertainment.ezinemark.com/images-of-queen-annes-revenge-in-pirates-of-the-caribbean-4-77364f6a3bc7.html it's like they used the black pearl's hulls, demolished and built a new stern, new idol on the same ship and added some red paint. I'm even wondering wether the black pearl will actually play in the new movie
  11. yes, you can get to the lower decks but I don't have a lot of pictures, I'll post some pictures later on mocpages, the ship is still intact. And I'm indeed a member for quite some time here but I usually post my creations on mocpages
  12. 86d My second best ship, three masts galleon with a big balcony and a broadside of 12 cannonballs More pictures on mocpages
  13. I have more pictures on mocpages http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/76463
  14. Armed with 20 guns + its triple guns it sails against the wind, making the sea a more dangerous place than it already was. Flying Dutchman I actually wanted to make it one midsection longer so I could get a better bow but I ran low on parts... Flying Dutchman
  15. I voted on the Skull's eye Schooner, it has a broadside of 4 while the Black Seas Barracuda has only 2, that means that the SES can fire 4 cannonballs at once while the BSB can only fire 2 (in one direction) so the SES would damage the BSB more. Furthermore, the SES is a Galleon so it would probably be faster than the BSB but that's just a detail. though I like the BSB more, the Skull's Eye Schooner is the winner in a cannonbattle you are right about the sterncastle but my SES never broke in two at its midsection, I think the amount of guns IN ONE DIRECTION is most important in a battle
  16. after all the trouble I went through to get my hands on some old pirate sets... but I hope it's true, I haven't seen them... If there are new pirate ships I hope they look like the old ones so I can make more ships like these;
