  1. I have never used proper Ackerman geometry and all my truck's steering has been fine, I thought about it but since there was a lack of space I had to leave it out.
  2. S@H is shop at home... It took me quite a while to figure that out too. xD
  3. LOL! Mine only twisted about 60 degrees. xD
  4. Ok everyone, after many tries I came up with a solution for the steering: http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/92293857@N05/9365492324/ Hmm, I don't have portal hubs from the 8110/9398 so I can't use them but luckily I'm not using any 5.5L axles. ':P I have twisted one before though in one of my first trial trucks, I managed to twist it back though. xD
  5. Excellent rock crawler! It's very flexible and stable, good job! :D p.s - that Kookaburra sounds amazing lol.
  6. I only have one XL motor and one M motor, I'll be using the XL for drive and M for steering. :)
  7. Fab vid as usual! Since your Lancia MOC I think your 'Technic skills' have really improved. Your style reminds me of official Technic models! Keep creating these awesome MOCs!!!
  8. You'll get it when the postman knocks your door and hands it to you. ;D
  9. Thanks! I'm building my own version, more trial truck style unlike the 8110 which isn't RC and has attachable equipment. :)
  10. Hey everyone, a couple of days ago I decided to start building a Unimog! After seing all the Unimog MOCs that other people have made I felt inspired and started to build one! I started this thread to document my creation an upload WIP photos, so I hope you enjoy reading about my project. The first day I had to finish dismanteling my Toyota Hilux Rock Crawler and a small RC Bugy I had made. I find it a lot easier to start building when I have all my parts in front of me! [note: that isn't all my parts, I have some pannels and suspension and stuff in another small bag ] After a couple of days building I managed to almost finish the axles and start building the chassis! So far it's going pretty good! ATM the gearing is 1:8.337 (is that too low? ). The only thing troubling me is how to incorporate a steering system on that front axle. So I'm off to try and think up a solution for the steering on LDD. Thanks for reading and I will post more pics soon!
  11. THAT THING RUNS OF 2 M MOTORS?!!!!! NOW THAT'S IMPRESSIVE!!! How exactly do you make an "efficient drivetrain"?
  12. Great video and model! Looking forward to the next one! :D
  13. I just took apart (about 2 hours ago) my mini RC Buggy! It was geared 1:1 powered by an XL Motor and it worked really well with a decent amount of torque!
  14. Saw this on the official Technic website, great job! It inspired me to make a crane like this. (One day >.<)
  15. Absolutely HUGE!! This truck is a true masterpiece of Lego engineering, looks like it is taking Lego to its limits! Fantastic model!!!
  16. lol I'm desparate for this set but I really doubt I'll have the money for it now so enjoy your copy!
  17. WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP ASKING THIS?! IT DOESN'T MATTER! I am 100% certain the set WILL NOT be sold out in less than one day!!! I apologise for my rudeness...
  18. Really cool looking vehicle! Can't wait for the video!!! :D
  19. Hey that's like 100x better than my first crawler!...
  20. MEEEEE! Sadly I don't think I'll have the money in time now. :(
  21. Good review! Boss crawler is way better though because of its coolness ;) Google translate wasn't too bad for me but it was understandable, once again, great job on the Boss, rm8!
