  1. Hahaha I saw this in a top gear magazine! Anyways here is a pic of the chassis: http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/92293857@N05/9494904418/
  2. Thanks for the input! I noticed some of you have suggested a beetle rock crawler even though I've already made one, its pretty rubbish though.
  3. When I get the 9398 (because the 41999 is sold out D:) I shall make a king of the hammers buggy because I think it will be very hard to include a gearbox for it without it looking off scale because the wheels are too small (I only have 81.4 wheels), also my 9L black springs can't handle the weight. :/
  4. I shall have a photo for you guys tomorrow! :D (probably a link to my Flickr, maybe an embedded photo) Thanks for the ideas too, I think at about 20 ideas (or less) I'll have to decide which one to use, maybe y'all can help me choose? :)
  5. Thanks for the feedback! [note to everyone]- If you have any wacky ideas I will look into them too! I have made a VW Beetle rock crawler before xD also I thought rm8's boss crawler was cool and wa unique because it wasn't like a 'normal' crawler. Thanks in advance to everyone :)
  6. Howdy fellow Eurobrickers! I am have almost completed my greatest rock crawler chassis yet! My only concern is what body should I put on it? I WAS going to make a Ford F-350 cab but I'm not sure now so I was wondering what do you guys think? I am looking forward to see what you come up with. :)
  7. Wow, just wow! This MOC is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Keep up the fantastic work!!! :D
  8. Pendular suspension is relatively easy to build and can be made very strong! You could make a two speen gearbox aswell, 1st gear with a lot of torque for the hill climb and 2nd gear for the fast bits.
  9. This happens with a lot of lego live axles, it is the reason why some people use a 'panhard' rod/linkage to stop this side-to-side movement. :)
  10. Sounds cool! I'm looking forward to more pics. ;) Actually I'm building a Ford F350 rock crawler at the moment! :D Mine won't be anywhere near as complex as this since I'm trying to keep it under 1000g. One more thing - why did you use L motors instead of M motors? M motors should be powerful enough to switch the gears + they are lighter.
  11. Thank you for the review, it has inspired me to make a pick up tow truck MOC! :)
  12. OHH! So they are replacing the old 3 hole rims?
  13. I don't remember any sets with these wheels...
  14. I want to build it now but link to I strict ions isn't working for me. :( I keep getting an error 400 message. :/
  15. Ahaha good points, I like your way of thinking! Enjoy the challenge! ;)
  16. I think it's pretty cool actually, but I would go with black wheels ;)
  17. I have seen a mobile crane working in real life, it was pretty similar speed to this model except the feet going down was much faster, also the boom extending was slower although this real crane had a 5 piece boom.
  18. I'm tjinking you need to take out a link or too and maybe move that middle gear till its perfectly in the centre so that the length of tracks is equal on either side of it, although having the front gear driven is a good idea. [edit] two extra small wheels between the middle gears and the left and right gears might help too.
