  1. Ah, finally, back to a normal lineup of minifigs. I didn't have much interest the Lego Movie CM line, and the Simpsons... yeah... LOVE the Hun Warrior. That printing on his shield is just awesome. And more of my favorite sword mold. I'll have to restrain myself from buying too many. (that price-hike is a wallet killer) And it looks like he might have some sort of cape? That would just be icing on the cake. Great fig either way. The goth girl is cute, I'll be picking one up for sure. Though, I can't say that I'm a huge fan of the cloth skirts, I much prefer printed leg pieces. I'm not quite sold on the Jester even though I missed out on the Fantasy Era one. I'm not too keen on his color scheme. It's interesting to see the jester, wizard, and princess all in one series. I'm also unsure about the Swashbuckler. The torso is passable, and the rapier is in a color that I'd never really use. But the hat is a color that I'd love have. I guess that's what Bricklink is for.
  2. I'm not a comics guy, but is that a trans-yellow lightsaber bar that Mr. Pink Angryman Sinestro is holding? I've wanted that part in that color for ages!
  3. I agree with Rocketbilly 100%. The Hero Factory head is great with all the connection points, but I've always thought it looked quite lacking compared to the Toa/Metru head when you put a mask on it. Not to mention the Toa would completely lack of facial features if they took their mask off, which would be quite strange.
  4. I'm interested in how the new "rapid shooters". They look kinda like the Mahri's Cordak blasters. I wonder how they work? They seem to use normal 1x1 round plates as ammo.
  5. Excellent work here. I love the use of tan, you work it through the whole ship perfectly. Very pleasing to the eye. And I actually like that you didn't use more realistic rigging. I usually find it a tad bit off-putting somehow. The only flaw I see is that the Crownie colors on the back of the ship are reversed.
  6. Very nice! All of the rock work looks great, very natural. But maybe the very top 1x2 slope bricks should be white too? I love the cave. Smart use of the baby dragon in micro scale.
  7. Wow, how do you churn out such great MOCs so quickly? I love the torso, it's perfectly shaped. That gun he has is cool too. Great work!
  8. Very interesting! It's always so cool to hear the details from Lego's side.
  9. I went to that one! The cool thing was, I stumbled upon it by pure chance. I was driving around waiting to pick my brother up once he finished his classes and saw the bill board advertising it. His exhibit was the first time I'd ever seen large scale Lego creations in real life, it was incredible. Still have the t shirt.
  10. I don't really see them as much more than clever references. But I didn't know about a few of those. Neat.
  11. I've been desirous of a medieval theme set somewhere other than Europe for a long time. Ninjago has obliterated any hope of getting one set in Japan for quite a long time. So I've been hoping for a Chinese medieval theme as well. Plus, Chinese architecture hasn't been seen since 2003 with Orient Expedition. (And never existed prior) It would be very refreshing. But, Lego has only ventured outside of Europe for a medieval theme once back in 1998-2000 with the Ninja sets. I don't know how well those sets sold, but I get the feeling that medieval themes that don't take place in Europe are going to be few and far between. (Upon Googling the definition of "medieval" I am unsure if that word can be used to refer to anywhere other than Europe. Oh well, you know what I mean )
  12. I am unable to get over the sheer hilarity of how the tone of this discussion became strikingly more hostile directly after your positive post.
  13. *sigh* The gender topic. My least favorite one. Veeerrry interesting. I'd say all of this has added up to a 100% rock solid confirmation now. I wasn't 100% sure before, but now I am. Now I want to see what Dorek has to say.
  14. Wow, it really exudes character. All of the parts work together so perfectly. Very cohesive and sleek. Excellent work. Interestingly, it brought to mind a videogame mini boss for me as well before I read your or Chro's posts.
  15. Oh, thank you! Looks like your other MOCs keep up the color scheme and overall look just as well. I especially like the Crawler. Also, I love your Rock Raiders layout! It's great to see this theme getting some attention. I don't see a lot of Rock Raider MOCs. Great work!
  16. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to his reveal. I really hope that they finally give him a unique moveset. The Great King of Evil certainly deserves it. I'm still holding out for everyone's favorite king, captain and mad scientist K. Rool. I hoped he would be in Melee, then Brawl, but alas he didn't make the cut. Maybe Smash 4 will be his lucky break? There haven't been any heavy newcomers yet, unless Rosalina or Palutena are on the heavy side. Plus there's still an overall lack of villains.
  17. Ding dong! The witch is dead. Which old witch? The Gematsu witch! The Gematsu witch is dead. Hahaha, I was actually leaning towards the Gematsu leak being real. But fortunately, the trailer today has pretty much threw Choir Men in a coffin and pounded 100 nails in it. Here's a link for anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about. The guy is pretty lucky with his guesses, but today it seems we have nearly rock-solid proof that he isn't legit. I wouldn't worry about Meta Knight at all. The only Brawl veterans that are generally considered in danger of being cut are Snake, Lucas, Squirtle, and Ivysaur. (With the last two being all but 100% deconfirmed) If Derp Toon Link can return, then a character that Sakurai himself (the guy in charge of making the game) made has a great chance.
  18. Man, I'm really impressed with this build. So many creative part uses here. I love all the accessories on her belt, and the minifig backpacks being used as pouches is simply genius. Actually, I just love the whole belt to bits. Also, the hair looks great. The gradient effect on the flame piece adds a nice pop. And the overall shape and proportions are spot on. Top tier stuff here, keep it up.
  19. Not to sound overly harsh (I do want to sound harsh, but not overly so ) but, isn't this statement rather... no, quite dumb? Christ, I didn't think I'd ever see Lego criticized like I do video games nowadays. I guess the "it's not realistic enough" complaint has bled into my second hobby too. They look like "just plastic blocks" because that's what they are. And guess what? They can be used to make about anything. And as Speedy said, I don't see this giving Lego any competition. Actually, I don't see these selling very much period. Certainly not as successful as most clone brands.
  20. Wow, you've got some great parts use going on in this MOC. Really liking that roof design, so perfect. The little decorations on the walls spice up the rooms nicely as well.
  21. I really like all the new possibilities that these new Mixle ball joints gave us. And your're doing a great job of utilizing them. I also like the way that you are only making these out of the actual Mixle sets, reminds me of the X-Pod sets. Keep on brickin'!
  22. Wow, what a creative use of those droid arms. Quite inspiring. The whole thing is fantastically build.
  23. I'm not trying to be a jerk here or anything, but the leaker did leak that right? Doesn't that mean he already took the risk into account and wants it out there anyway? Edit: dat filter
  24. Hm.... I guess I'm fairly strict now that I think about it: -No fleshies -No old colors -No using badly damaged pieces -Keep illegal techniques to a minimum (and some are off limits) And the most importantly: --Only official pieces-- I'm 100% purist. That's the one rule I'll never bend.
  25. Very nice. I love the landscaping. And and the others have said, great bridge. It's quite eye catching. Keep on brickin'!
