  1. Wow. Simply stunning! Using the black claw pieces to hold the Zamor sphere in place is a great idea. The whole thing is perfect. He's even close to the scale he his in the game! (Compared to a minifigure that is.) Man, seeing this makes me want to play Ocarina of Time again.
  2. I'm guessing these sets are pretty close to what we are going to get too. But you never know for sure, look at these preliminary Viking sets: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=349981 I'm not totally disappointed with these new castle sets, but I think there is definitely room for improvement.
  3. Wow, that really is a nice creation. I love that there is a play feature, the sliding door is great. Makes it seem like an official set. I wish there was a close up of the Iron Knuckle. (My favorite enemy from the series ) I just don't know if I want to get my hopes up with Cuusoo again.
  4. Ah, now that would be nice. I would pick up many copies of that set if it had one of the new horses in it. Hmm... Hey, I see it too! I wasn't too sure that it was a lion; It looked too gaunt. A hawk would make a fantastic logo. I hope that it is in fact a hawk.
  5. I've been playing Pokemon since the original as well. I still haven't bought Black/White 2 yet though. As for my favorite Pokemon: Mine is Breloom. No contest. He dethroned Golem as my favorite back in Diamond and Pearl when I used one for the first time. I guess I overlooked Breloom in the third generation. I just want to chime in and say I have such fond memories of using the Missingno glitch to get infinite Masterballs and Rare Candies back when I was a kid. It made me feel like the ultimate Pokemon Trainer!
  6. Its amazing how well you captured the Troll Face in Lego form! And as others have said, the use of the sausage and clips to create a smile is brilliant! Keep on Brickin' CarsonBrick!
  7. Wow. I really like this set. Something about the front of the "Vaporizer" really appeals to me. And the detachable mech is great. I absolutely love the green android. He almost looks like a Bionicle in minifigure form. (A tiny relative of Lewa's perhaps?) And a better energy shield is something that we've been missing too. I never really liked the one from this set: http://www.brickset....ail/?Set=7115-1 (Its possible a better one was released and I never noticed it though.) I've never really bought any sets other than castle. (Bionicle used to be the one exception) But, with LotR being overpriced and lacklusterm (IMO) I might just venture out of the medieval ages and pick up some of these Space sets. Thanks for the review!
  8. All three are really good. But that Santa is so adorable! Perfect in every way!
  9. Great review! He looks much better out of the box then he does on the art work. He looks nice and bulky. And I welcome those clawed Piraka feet in any new color. I love those pieces. But his color scheme could be a bit more coherent. The trans-green on his upper arms ad thighs would look much better if they were dark green in my opinion. And his head looks incredibly empty without the brain slug too. (But, then again he is an ogre )
  10. Oh hey, pictures! I can't really judge these sets 100% yet due to the resolution. But it doesn't look to good for this generation of Castle. Which really is a shame since I don't care for the LotR sets either.
  11. Great MoC! I love that stained glass window. The cross is pretty ingenious too. I also like the alternating horizontal and vertical clips on the sides of the stained glass window. They look really good.
  12. Whats up with all those disembodied legs going over that waterfall? Just kidding, it's a great effect. I've never seen it done before either. Also, the roots on those trees are very nice too, I like how they continue down the cliff a little. Great job!
  13. Mm, I've bought other sets off of the internet before and never had any problems. But I've always avoided ones that weren't sealed like the plague. I thought the same thing about these pieces. If it were just the sword and gun missing, I might have bit the bullet and kept it. But since the tubes are missing too, I'm going to try and return it.
  14. Hmm that sounds very promising, I'll try that for sure! Thanks Rocketbilly! I wish I could be enjoying the set I ordered, but sadly it came with four pieces missing: The Cordak Blaster, sword, and both air tube pieces. So basically, every piece that would have been outside a bag is gone. But the bag that contained all the other parts had never been opened. It was advertised as "Like New" condition, with wear to the box, when it arrived I noticed the whole back of the box had been torn off at some point, then taped back on. So I suspect that these parts had fallen out at some point. I'll probably end up returning it. The only thing keeping me from doing so as soon as I found the problem is the return shipping.
  15. This Santa would impress me if it was made by an adult, knowing it was made by a 9 and 12 year old is truly remarkable. Have a merry Christmas! And thank you for sharing this great creation!
  16. Oh wow. I actually think this is one of the best part packs I've seen in a long time. I only have 2 of those new swords; I'd jump at a chance to get them cheap. (I couldn't justify spending 3$ on each extra Evil Knight when all I'd really be getting that I was interested in were the swords) And capes are always useful. Also, one can never have too many of the classic skulls.
  17. While true that the Portal is quite popular with the internet crowd, the Zelda series transcends that and then some. Zelda nears Mario's level of recognition. A level that Portal has not reached. (Heh, that works as a pun.) However, I agree that Portal requires a lot less molds. That might work in it's favor, but I doubt it. Though, I can also see Valve being a lot more willing to do something like this. That might be the big factor that could get this project passed. Also, I don't know much about Portal's content. (Never played it) But from what I've heard, it might be a tad dark for Lego.
  18. Lego isn't responsible for where stores place their products. A lot of stores group all of the building toys together.
  19. Wow, the Turtles can sit down with their shells on? I wouldn't have expected that, cool. This set is quite a mishmash though. It doesn't even seem to be a very good parts-wise. Aside from the minifig's parts that is.
  20. Nice. Is that a Stormtrooper helmet I see in the bottom lefthand corner? Why is that there?
  21. Eyes... Can't... Handle it all... So much detail everywhere you look. It's amazing.
  22. Very nice! I really like the use of the alternating 1x1 plates and 1x1 round plates. Looks great! Is that star on top of the manger an official piece? I don't recognize it.
  23. Seems like CDC summed up my thoughts well: Cuusoo is dead to me. I was dubious of Zelda, but I've dreamed about Lego Zelda sets for as long as I can remember. When I saw it was a project on Cuusoo, I couldn't help but get my hopes up. It's a huge letdown to wait 7 months for "Oh, yeah that one... It requires too many new mould ." We don't even know for sure if they approached Nintendo, do we? And I wasn't particularly excited for the MWT, since I never stray far from Castle, (Bionicle too, but it's dead.) but knew it would be a nice set. And I figured it was a shoo-in.
  24. Hmm... I'm happy for the BttF fans and all, but I can't help but think this was an odd choice... Considering younger people will probably have never heard of Back to the Future. But I'm sure Lego knows what they are doing! Who am I kidding, they didn't pass Zelda. They've lost their minds...
  25. Dear lord. That is astounding! All those bricks... I've seen other huge scale Lego creations, (Not in person) but seeing them make one really puts it into perspective. Also, seeing those minifig goblets and shovels and stuff in such a scale was kinda... trippy. For lack of a better word.
