If this leak is real, I'll eat 25 1x1 bricks. It looks believable at a glance, but plenty of high quality CG renders have been made by diligent fake leakers before. And if you look closely, the errors become apparent: I found none of those mind you. That's all GameFAQs. I'm 99.9% sure that we are looking at a fake. Also:

Don't know why people are getting their undies in a twist over the Nazi imagery. He's not glorifying them or anything. He stated quite plainly that the build is satirical. Not that it wasn't obvious from the get go. Anyway, great MOC Summo. You kept the space for the minifigs to stand on roomy, but not over-sized compared to the elephant. Same with the armor. The search lights are a nice touch too. And yes, the elephant armband is sheer genius.

I tried both the Nuva Shoulder armor and the Rahkshi heads. Both looked way off proportionally on the Piraka torso. I wasn't just trying for boobs though, all the armor pieces that I have looked "bleh" on the torso. I'm having trouble working with it. I went back just a few minutes ago and came up with this part connected to this part. The former in dark blue, and the latter in white. (I plan to swap her limbs and color scheme with her Inika form's. I love those marbled white and dark blue parts) They attach to a longer axle that comes out here It doesn't look all that great, but at least it helps the concave look of the backwards Piraka torso a little.

Haha, that reminds me, just the other day I was trying to build breasts onto Toa Mahri Hahli. Not because I'm a pervert or anything, but because her torso is just a backwards Piraka torso, which looks totally shapeless and quite boring. I never did come up with a solution.

Yeah, these sets look like... Minecraft made out of Lego bricks. It's bound to be boring to someone who isn't a Minecraft fan. (Never played the games myself) They're basic because Minecraft itself is basic, they aren't simplified for children. Like Lego-Freak said, they captured Minecraft perfectly. Hear that guys? Quit voicing your opinions if you don't like these sets. Your negative sentiments are repetitive!

Was I the only person who loved the Bionicle sets, but never really followed the story?

Jeez man. I know what you mean Lancethecat, TLG has been going a bit overboard with the facial features/detail lately. However, I love that arm and leg prints have become so common.

survey Picture versus Video Reviews
Sir Walter Maugham replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
I generally prefer picture reviews. That said, ARTIFEX makes wonderful video reviews that I find far more informative than even the best pictorial review. Sometimes I have questions about a set that are best answered by seeing it built piece by piece. -
I really want this too. The Toa Metru (the series that really got me into Bionicle) spoiled me I guess. All the Toa having different eye colors was really nice. It was a shame when they started having less and less variety.

How important is it for you to write "LEGO" vs Lego?
Sir Walter Maugham replied to DPrime's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I do make the sacrilegious error of referring to a pile of Lego bricks as "Legos" in casual conversations quite often. It's just habit. I've been doing it since I was 3, and I never took the time to mentally retrain myself. And as you can see from my post I never use "LEGO" instead of "Lego." Sorry TLG, but typing your brand name in all caps makes it sound like I have an oddly specific verbal tic. To make up for it, I do hound people for calling knockoff brands Lego. Also, is that "Using the LEGO brand name" rigmarole aimed at individuals or other companies/media? I know TLG is trying to avoid all plastic bricks being called "Legos" but that came off as so incredibly anal-retentive. -
Oh, this looks like a nice set. But fairly lackluster when compared to the previous Winter Village sets. Is that the the Fabuland sign part in black? I've wanted that part in that color for quite a while. I see one of those elves is going to be on the naughty list. I don't think Santa looks kindly upon arson.

Simply stunning. I love the use of technic pins as the thatched roof. And the archway made of headlight bricks... And the rockwork...And the brickwork... And the Pokemon reference. Fantastic work! Looking forward to seeing more of your creations!

It's kinda the opposite for me. Most of the Hero Factory characters look like their arms are too short, even though I know full well that they're properly proportioned. I guess Bionicle permanently screwed up my point of view.

Haha, boy do I know that feeling. I usually get a few odd looks, but one time in Walmart the employees started hanging around nearby isles looking suspicious of me. It's worth it though, I've been collecting since series 2 and have never misidentified a figure before.

Favorite "obscure" constraction theme?
Sir Walter Maugham replied to TheGreatSpirit's topic in LEGO Action Figures
The Knights Kingdom big-figs were pretty cool. I remember making up ridiculous stories where Vladek used magic to make himself a giant. But if they count, I'll have to choose the 2001 Dinosaurs theme. That big Lego T-Rex was just the best thing ever to 7 year old me. -
Agreed. That was one of my biggest concerns. At this point my biggest worry is how the golden armor will work. In the pictures that we have it looks absolutely terrible on Kopaka IMO. And outside of Tahu and maybe Gali, the rest look like their gold armor is thrown sporadically into their color scheme. But, these are preliminary, so hopefully their color scheme will end up looking more cohesive.

Jurassic World 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Sir Walter Maugham replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
How timely, I was just looking at the prices of the Lego Dino 2012 dinosaurs on Bricklink a few days ago and was kicking myself for not picking a couple up when the line was actually running. (now the large T-Rex alone goes for just about as much as the whole set that it came in did) Hopefully this line of sets will give me another chance to get my hands on some minifig eating dinosaurs.- 1,412 replies

Same here. They're fairly awkward IMO. Though, I think that it would have been difficult for TLG to make the Goth Girl have the shoes, striped stockings, and skirt all on printed her legs. But I would have preferred a printed skirt on the Goddess figure.

New LEGO Fantasy Theme -- A MOC Series
Sir Walter Maugham replied to Nuju Metru's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow, very nice designs. The spring shooters as magic attacks is a fantastic idea. My favorite is the Desert Duel. It looks just like something Lego would put out. But they're all great. Nice work! Looking forward to the rest! -
So this is why Lego.com went down for a while today. Man, those hi-res leaks just can't come soon enough!

Does the Spooky Girl have a new hair mold? Or is it the same as the Librarian? I can't quite tell. A Pacman print would have ran into legal issues, wouldn't have it? A Tetris-like print using Lego bricks would have been amazing though.

Excellent work once again Warhead! Tahnok's face looks wonderfully frighting. And the overall bulk of it is much more intimidating than the original. I like that you kept the headbutt/biting feature, Bohrak just aren't Bohrak without it. I'd love to see you recreate the Rahkshi using these new parts and techniques. They're my favorite Bionicle villain line. (The second being the Bohrak )

If I ran The Lego Group
Sir Walter Maugham replied to Paul B Technic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Looks like Toby really is running Lego now. -
Hell yeah, 120% confirmation. I'm not 100% happy with the smooth sleek Hero Factory look staying... But these are preliminary images, maybe they'll end up looking a bit more piston-y like the Bionicle sets of old. Super unlikely, but I can dream can't I? And I shall mourn the loss of the beloved crotch gear. I see something interesting where Tahu's feet should be; it looks a lot like this piece. I guess it could be there because they're preliminary images. Still odd though. Also, I love Potahu's boomerangs.
