  1. I present to you my creation! It is a wheel loader. I was trying to make a PF version of 8439, but with the the shape of the small LA plus the gears, it was not happening. So I just started working from the turn table on up. It has: 4x medium motor 2x reciever 4x wheels (of course it does) ???-parts (still working on the LDD of it) You can see it is a little short on finished, but want to show what I made and thoughts on what else I could make it in to. The steering is a little complicated. It's all gears, but turns slow enough. It turned slower and not jerky in the first biuld, but in the redesign I could not fit one of the gear pairs in. I should shorten the arms a little bit, because it can only pick up 3 of the 68.8x24 wheels. A few more pictures are www.bricksafe.com/pages/weavil
  2. They probably mean "all of the wheels move". But you're right they should change there writing. Because any 10-18yr old is going to check YouTube or forums or other sources for reviews and/or opinions about a set before asking there parents.
  3. With us its: we buy it for what it does. With kids: they see it, read it, and want it more. It's all about marketing. For me, I want see what it looks like, see what it does, and A PARTS LIST. Like the new twin rotor plane I want it. I seen it and a parts list and fell in love.
  4. Weathered or not, I would have put them in my yard.
  5. That is huge, expensive, and holy crap the batteries!!! But looks amazing!!!
  6. Got me 60045 Police Patrol for Christmas!!!
  7. Also the amount of pieces-per-mold will affect the return-on-investment. The more pieces will offset the price for the set. However, if you have an officially licensed set (excluding Star Wars) it will not offset the price of a new piece because of the licensing fee/royalties.
  8. Here are my Pitman steering. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5907663 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5907654 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5907645
  9. What kind of glue did you use?
  10. Same here! If I get them from Lego.com I just save them.
  11. Google and Bing are search engines. Its a way for them to have easy access to the content for search results. Facebook is so its easier to share content on Facebook. Like when I'm looking up something on Google for ideas or research with a MOC it shows alot of results from Eurobricks if it's common.
  12. At the Quarry! http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=88790 More pictures are here->http://www.bricksafe...s/weavil/Triple
  13. Could be "Construction Unit 1/10/2014". Like name and release date.
  14. The place card says "Nico van Duin" showuser=108452.
  15. Unless the RC-unit took a dump and beyond repair. Then you could use it. But legal is up to the user. Legal- it's a Technic piece, let's build! Illegal- it's an extension of a whole part, not released as a stand alone piece in a set. But like anything, it's up to the builder. I say I need one!
  16. Other people here and brickshelf.com and mocpages.com have built there own. Just search.
  17. I would say allow it, but only because I only one AA box and two receivers. That was my concern too with the TRIPLE. But I chose one thing to power, because I thought there might be enough trailer themes entering.
  18. And I'm working on a crane too. But this one is shaping up great.
  19. Holy crap thats BIG!!! And looks great. Can't wait to see more.
  20. If your version of Microsoft Internet Explorer has compatibility view, try that. If it's not in or next to the address bar then you got to use the developer console.
  21. They will work together, but I got to finish two of them first.
  22. I bring you a day at the Quarry. Using what I have, I present: The Jaw Crusher: This was the hard one. Could only find a hand full of LEGO creations for an accual rock crusher. Anything else was Bionicle related some way. So this one took most of the time to bring to life. The tracked loader: I wanted to do a swing loader, but that has been done. So something completely different. Because you got to load the crusher some how. (opperator is a factory option) The OFF-Road Truck: Or as the reffance pictures called it. A way to haul the material to the crusher. Right? I got a little work to do yet. The rest of the pictures are HERE. After the contest I am going to rework all 3 to look/work more real. Hope you like my effort.
  23. That looks like perfect scale! Great job!
