  1. Wow that is nice! The ultimate Man-Cave Props for your goals this year, can't wait to see the studio finished!
  2. Have to agree with you here. TLG of course cares about money. Everyone does. But yeah, like you said, there's still a ton of creativity out there. MOCs are made everyday I don't see the point of buying a whole set for one rare brick/fig, and I imagine not to many people can afford this/do this. I guess we're all sort of "zombies" in a way, and I do see your post as a bit of an eye opener.
  3. Hi, I'm asking this because I was at a LEGO Store the other day and I noticed a couple kids sneaking some bricks into their pockets at the PAB wall. I didn't say anything about it because it was only a few pieces and I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. But my question is, is this a normal thing? Have you ever noticed LEGO being stolen from a store/event/etc? Have you ever stolen LEGO? I don't mean to barge or anything, but I was wondering.
  4. Nice! I've never seen rigging done like that and the sails are quite nice
  5. My bad, must of accidently posted it in the wrong thread (they all look the same ) On the photos you submitted the pirate's hand wasn't all the way in.
  6. I like it! The colors should be fixed, I agree, and adding some flags/cannon would greatly improve it. If you don't have the flag parts, you can construct your own similar to making custom sails (there must be a tutorial out there). And for cannon, it is quite possible to customize your own too. You can also make deck/chaser cannons this way . I like how you added an underdeck and the figurehead is a pretty clever use (haven't seen it before)
  7. Don't mean to barge in but I would also suggest putting that hand all the way in
  8. Nice! The lighting is pretty good for a night scene
  9. Nice job! I would suggest having the rigging lower. I'm no expert, though
  10. Great work, Mr Phes! Can't wait to see it in all the threads!
  11. I've dreamed of LEGO before, mostly in my childhood on Christmas Eve I occasionally have random dreams where if something related to LEGO happens in the day, it might just pop into my dream. I've also occasionally gotten building ideas and techniques, which is kinda cool
  12. Wow looks nice! I like the masts especially. Can't wait to see it in real bricks!
  13. Haha nice  . I like the Star Wars references and plunger
  14. Woah man, that's some serious fanage . How big would you say your budget is after all that?
  15. I would say that they're an AFOL if they consider themselves one. No matter how much LEGO you actually own, or build, if you can say "I'm an adult and I like LEGO", then you're an AFOL. A person who buys a Tower Bridge to display on a shelf may just like architecture/models, or they might actually like LEGO and be a fan. I don't think we can judge someone if they are an AFOL or not, only they can.
  16. Hey thanks, Redblade! And yea, it works on phones
  17. These are nice I'd like to see how this goes
  18. I agree the front mask is a little out of place and large. I'd like to see what this looks like with three midsections.
  19. I agree. It's no doubt the quality has gone down. But luckily this is being used only for the Chinese/Asian region. Though I definitely believe it could influence the quality everywhere they produce.
  20. Awesome find! This is a great ship!
  21. The lighting in the first shot wasn't bad. A few flickers. Keep in mind though that he's on an island in the middle of the ocean at daytime. It should be pretty bright. I do have a YouTube channel, but what I have so far on mine is not up. I can send you it in an email or as an unlisted video but as of right now I cant do it.
  22. Oh they're tasty, but only if they're cooked rIght
