  1. When you have two axles that turn symmetrically, where should the ackerman geometry "tip of the triangle" be? Right in the middle between the two axles, or at the centre of the opposite axle?
  2. Those seats! Lovely!! great model!
  3. Looks kind of futuristic in the front! I like it! EDIT: And happy bday!
  4. Still, it would do more good than harm Would also fill in those 2L open spaces, at the bends, just before the 14L technic bricks
  5. It looks good, but I would have changed the two that connects the arm to the bucket, with two for added strength, as it seems a bit flimsy, being connected only through the axle holes...
  6. Heyy! You didn't start a new topic!
  7. That is probably the most compact way, yes
  8. I made a similar setup, but that problem kept annoying me, so I eventually cut a half-stud off of two 3L axles, and it worked great!
  9. I agree that the new rims without anything else looks too open compared to the real thing. However, the Unimog tires look better IMO
  10. Time is a-lacking here as well.. Looking forward to seeing your dual rotor/chinookified 9396 That is, if that's what you are still working on
  11. Hard chine, high speed

  12. Looks good! Can you post the LDD or MLCad file?
  13. well, the one in the construction crew loader could easily be changed for an old one.. But I suppose there must be a reason for Lego to design a new part! I have already run into a situation in a MOC where the new type is a must! It's not necessarily an improvement, but it has other uses.. sort of like an ordinary 8 tooth gear and the new red ones. Also, it wont "drill" into liftarms, or get locked when used with pieces where the holes are not symmetrical for the entire circumference
  14. Well at least you got it to stand up like the real thing! Probably a good example of a thing that is way more complex than what you initially think! Your video made me laugh
  15. I might as well post my dual live rear axle(s) with central diff for "8258-sized-trucks" Using the A-arms like this minimizes sideways swaying LDD file available here
  16. Slightly off topic, but if that part is used for it's intended function, coupling a motor with an LA, then I made a substitute out of easily available parts. LDD model here
  17. Congratulations on the Hall of Fame! Well deserved!
  18. There is a dedicated topic, go nuts! This topic is precisely for discussing things like this
  19. Good stuff! I'm in, let's make a plan!
  20. I like this concept, and how the models turned out! Too bad there weren't enough viewers...
  21. Coffee and beer! On topic: the only problems I've ever experienced are dust and discoloration.. I don't keep any sets built though, but random assemblies are scattered around my apartment, and they tend to collect some dust...
  22. Good to hear, hope you enjoy it! Be on the lookout for minor mistakes in the instructions as mentioned in this topic Please feel free to come back here with your impressions and thoughts when done
