  1. Nice build mate. I especially like the barkeeper, great work. Also, the story is very cool and a good introduction to let your character hunt some drow. Haha, I already got rid of mine
  2. Vitreolum, it's great to have you here! There's already a Flickr group: https://www.flickr.com/groups/1822940@N24/
  3. Nice work Wedge!
  4. Wow man, you're a really fast builder, I wish I was as fast as you and could just build two MOCs over night .
  5. Good job! Is that your first build or have you been building before you joined the GoH? It anyway looks great! I agree with Behemoth that the pictures could be better. Just try to take them when you have better light, for example you can go outside when there are some clouds which hide the sun, so you don't have any direct light and don't get a hard shadow, but there's still enough to take brighter and less grainy pictures.
  6. Welcome to Avalonia, I'm glad to have you here. Your figs for task II look great . You can find an updated map in the original post, on the first side.
  7. That looks very nice so far Narbilu! For the buildings, I recommand doing a mix of them: I mostly like the ones which have a stone basement and then wood on it, but I'm also a fan of just wooden buildings. I wouldn't go for full stone buildings, unless you want to do a tower or a castle (but actually you could include some wooden elements in both of these and it wouldn't look bad).
  8. I think the best way is to just buy sets on sale and sell the figures you don't want. Usually if you get your set 30% off or so and sell all figs (depends on the set, of course) you get enough money back that the pieces are basically for free. Also, look for hauls. You will find more and more if you start talking with other people who aren't in the LEGO hobby and often they or their grown up kids have huge boxes full of LEGO on the attic.
  9. Very nice, I like those red stripes you put in there to split up the tan. You could also add another strip in dark orange or medium dark flesh - I think those colours could work well. @SK: Thanks for sharing this technique... I guess my door designs will have to change soon too.
  10. Clever build. I like the snow on the ground and your axe holder looks also nice .
  11. Wow man, this is so nice . It makes me smile to see you building for the GoH again!
  12. I voted for picture review, because most video reviews are too long and so I rather look at some pictures. But Romance14's one is just great, even better than most of the picture reviews, we can clearly see that he put a lot of effort into it. So if all video reviews out there would be like his, I'd totally have to vote for video.
  13. Very nice interior! I like all the details you put in there and the parrot in the cage is great!
  14. I love those walls, the architecture is great! I also like the plants you managed to put under the tiles, I whould have never thought of that, it just looks beautiful. Most probably your best build yet!
  15. Good job mate . I also like that you took the time to build such a nice base for it.
  16. Nice build mate! The house looks very nice and the fact that you also made a nice backside is great . Brick on!
  17. Nice build ! It's good to see some builds from you.
  18. Nice one deGothia! It's always good to see that people expand their cities. I hope to see some more builds for the HSS from you in the future.
  19. Good job. That's really one neat little tower and I love the use of the bulls torso for your sigfig .
  20. Nice build! The interior is very cool, I love all the details you put in there. Also, the entrance looks also excellent, great use of those large pieces.
  21. Thank you . Thanks a lot Sebeus. It is dark tan... but you just brought me to an epic idea... dark tan + old dark grey = epic win . Wow, thanks a lot Mister Phes!
  22. The Moccing Machine strikes again! I love the classical SK feel of this build. The walls, the red house with the nice chimney and of course also the interior totally make this build! Also, you're building at some very impressive speed again .
  23. Nice! I like the combination between stonework and the wooden part. Great job .

Who would ever have thought that a Friends set could actually be useful? Great use of the Pharao's quest wings. I like all the curves on the ship, the whole shape of it looks so realistic and simply beautiful. Also, I'm already so excited for the Guilds of Brick Seas .
  25. All those houses are so lovely . Are there close up shots of the ship? it looks fantastic from what we see in these pictures.
