  1. Beautiful foliage here, those tree trunks are fantastic (and look like a pain to build!). The different kinds of leaves on the ground add a nice variation to the terrain!
  2. It's okay this time, just for the future! And of course you're always welcome to ask other player's opinions - though do make that clear next time please!
  3. In the future, please use your discretion when deciding what kind of property your build should be; the leadership doesn't have time to rule on every little build. In this case however, this is probably an artisan.
  4. A very nice first MOC Tokru, the foliage is great and the column looks really good! +1 for the UoP credits! Next time you do a path or something like that, I'd suggest sticking with a few less colors for the road - tan and dark tan go together well, with maybe a hint of stone (either light or dark grey) - or various shades of grey give the impression of a rock road - or brown and dark brown looks like dirt - but having all those colors together gives it a rather mixed up appearance!
  5. I'm glad to see the resistance is continuing! Excellent arch, the details are great and the size is really impressive! The interior build is very nice as well!
  6. The foliage here is excellent and the platform looks really good too! Great entry!
  7. Nice interior, the way you did the inset for the windows is great! Like the reference to my build too!
  8. Great to see another challenge build from Eslandola! The foliage looks really nice!
  9. The important date is before the end of the month, which we will be sure to do. The main problem is just me trying to wrap my head around all the rules - I want to be sure whatever moves we make are strategic! With regards to the fort, there's a limit on fort size/quantity relative to settlement size, I think Elysabethtown is at or very near that limit? Otherwise, and in the future, a fort might be an investment the crown would consider (after all, it's our job to protect the citizens!).
  10. Thank you! Thanks!
  11. Welcome to Kaliphlin! It's great to see Ulandus being fleshed out some more! I don't think there are any current sets that have a good selection of medieval or Greco-Roman civilians - bricklink is probably your best bet if you want to stock up on those sort of pieces... I'd suggest just buying a few of the torsos you'd find most useful! Yes, fleshies are permitted, though you sure didn't hear that from me. Petraea (the capital of Kaliphlin) has external fortifications, so does Qarkyr, probably Barqa as well, East Gate for certain, Sultan's Gate in addition... I think most cities that aren't just little hamlets would have external fortifications. Kaliphlin doesn't really have a Sultan - the city name, Sultan's Gate, is just a sort of relic. Right now the nominal ruler styles himself the Desert King, but he's only an imposter that will soon be done away with! (At least that would be my version.) Building frequently is not a requirement!
  12. 60 credits to Bob please!
  13. To the Honorable Señor Felipe de la Manzana, The Council is very much aware of the necessity for fortification and is currently evaluating the possibilities. Look for decisions in the near future; arming our fleet vessels and protecting Berreli are high on the priority list. Guy K. Wynd, Secretary of State.
  14. Very nice challenge entry Bregir, the waves look really good! The shields work well too!
  15. You're right, the figs are a bit Egyptian... I actually had trouble getting enough figs that looked similar enough that they could have been from the same tribe! Thanks Titus! Thank you! Yep, finally got to put that Chima eagle piece to good use! Thanks! I'm ready - who next? He figures in the Eslandola lore as the one who actually does all the hard work behind the MCTC. I also threw him into one of my small residences. Actually Corrington did grant lines of credit to those two, but the hanging penalty remains! Thanks Bregir!
  16. Thank you! The snow on the battlements was fun! Unfortunately the build is long since destroyed... but thank you!
  17. Thanks bricklover!
  18. Personally I think the siding is really good - might could use a few tweaks but the idea is there! The red roof is very striking as well, in a good way!
  19. Very nice castle, looking forward to seeing the other seasons! Really like the subtle angles you gave it with the hinges! The little ducks are really cute too!
  20. But the likelihood of that being profitable is pretty slim... oppressive policies may look lucrative in the short run but in the long run they always hurt... and of course, we Eslandians are in this for the long haul!
  21. We'll have to see about that! Don't forget that you still pay your faction taxes even if you build in another faction's territory!
  22. Very nice ship, the hull looks great and so do those sails!
  23. Welcome to the guilds, Pat!
  24. Thanks! I've had those fence pieces lying around for a while and was glad to finally get a chance to use them!
  25. No matter what your style is, your best choice is Kaliphlin. Period. Seriously though, we do have everything here in Kaliphlin. And if interiors are your thing that is totally cool - while it's great to try something outside of your comfort zone every now and then, it's fine if you stick with interiors all the way! Pretty much any size MOC is fine too - don't feel pressured to build something really big, or in a specific style, or anything - just have fun!
