  1. A sistership of the HoE can be licensed whenever, provided the owner of the blueprint rights (Capt Wolf) is agreeable.
  2. It's better if you make a new one, when possible.
  3. Maxim of all people would know that I'm a her? ] Next time a rule is changed then, it can be posted in its own topic and future rules can be posted there as well.
  4. As I've sort of already been doing some record upkeep I've no objection to getting official recognition for the job. But if I am a keeper of records, Ska is still the maker of records. And actually most of what goes on here is more rules clarification than actual rule changes, and when there are rule changes, I will certainly edit those in, but I hope we're pretty much past the revision period (at least until we hit MRCA v.2). @Brick on, I'm hoping there won't be many more rule changes, otherwise I'd say that a new topic is a great idea.
  5. ? You might want to fix that, and also don't forget to post in the settlement index!
  6. That makes sense, because I was convinced that the rule wasn't there and was actually about to edit it myself.
  7. The lighting effects here are excellent! Those trees look really nice too!
  8. Very nice micros! The landscape looks great too!
  9. I'm pretty sure you're right about the forts (can't be used for free license). Also, yes, you can establish a squatter colony on another faction's land, but the other faction might take some action against you. It's not quite true that all islands are quickly given to one faction or another - Berreli is a disputed island with settlements of Eslandola and of Corrington already on it.
  10. Not yet! Shall we put your name in the Mardier hat? Well... I pretty clearly said in the rules that that was not the case... so maybe it would be better to wait to change it until next time? Nope!
  11. This looks really cool! The house skeleton is great and good job portraying the activity of the work site!
  12. The limit on how many properties you can license in a month is just that - a limit on licenses. Building is unlimited, and you could sell the licensing right to someone else or save them for another month. If you were to participate in Bregir's challenge and were to be chosen to be licensed, that would not count toward your maximum.
  13. This is fantastic! Great work detailing the process, I found it very fascinating, but of course the build takes the cake! That tree especially, but the other details are great as well!
  14. Ah, I see, yes, that's a good point and I'll keep it in mind for next time we have this scenario.
  15. Unless - at least this is the way I would understand it - it is significantly smaller than 16x16 (the smallest license size).
  16. Yes, that possibility had occurred to me. Obviously that would be prohibited. And I hope no Eslandian would be so disloyal as to sign up against the faction in earnest! However, a general prohibition sounds like a good precaution. You mean say yes or no to the team members? (I like the way the teams are arranged vs. I don't like the way the teams are arranged?) The problem with that is that it could take a while to satisfy everyone and also this is just sort of an extra measure to possibly get the ships back; it's not supposed to be loaded dice in favor of Eslandola (which, if I had to approve the teams, it probably would be ).
  17. No, it is every free-build comparable in size to a small license. See below: I think in general plantations are in the hinterland, everything else is in the city.
  18. How un-Eslandian of me to forget that! Yes, all builds will be rewarded with 10 DBs (but they won't count as free-builds).
  19. Last month, the dastardly privateering villain L'Olius forced the Queen of Terreli (ESL crown) to surrender and captured the Fenix. These acts of aggression have proved very concerning to the Eslandian crown, and it has determined that it will not permit its shipping to be threatened in this manner with impunity! L'Olius is a privateer for Mardier, based at Terraversa. He holds a letter of marque from the governor of the island, who is at odds with the current Mardier King during the Civil War. That being the case, the Mardier courts were willing to consider the situation, in the hopes of avoiding a rupture with Eslandola. So we're calling for volunteers for a build off to decide the case. Three volunteers for each side (Eslandola and Mardier). To volunteer, apply in this topic and state which side you'd like to help. Each volunteer will have to build one MOC. 20x20 limit on MOC size, with a minimal overhang. Deadline is April 25th. Any BoBS member can volunteer for either side, but Eslandians cannot volunteer for Mardier. Each team must incorporate the following four themes at least once in their total of three builds: the court, the prisoners, L'Olius, and pineapples. Once the teams are determined, a PM thread will be set up for each team. Builds must be posted in their own thread and linked to below. All builds will earn 10 DBs (but will not count as free builds). If Mardier wins, Mardier volunteers will receive 75 DBs (that's 40% of the profit at stake divided between the three participants). Building may commence as soon as one team (either one) has reached three volunteers. After the 25th, a voting thread will be set up. All EB members will be invited to determine (based on the MOCs) which side deserves to win this case. If Eslandola wins, both ships will be restored to their original owners. If Mardier wins, both ships will remain with L'Olius. More information on L'Olius: L'Olius is a maritime hero, who at one point was one of the Royal Family's favorite captains. However, he has sided with Terraversa and the rebels, as he is actually a descendant of one of the Terraversa tribes. He very loosely walks the privateer line with little justification other than his own fervent support on the Island. So... who's up for a challenge? Throw down the gauntlet and let's get bricking!
  20. Tax goes to the builder's faction; licenses go to the owner of the land. Sea Rats who build in a non-squatter settlement have to pay full license. They do not pay any tax, even if they build in established empires.
  21. Fantastic build! The colors and architecture styles are great, I especially like the domed building but the tan building is really cool as well with the white and blue stripe! The garden on top is fantastic! Great work all around - keep it up!
  22. Welcome to the guilds! I hope your quest is successful!
