  1. Amazing build Elostirion, what you've done with this is just terrific! The sheer size of this, of course, is mind blowing - but what is maybe even more incredible is the outstanding interior! You've done a tremendous job of showing off the different parts of the process and I love how you multi-layered it in spots with the roof there! The water running by was a great idea, added some nice color. Really like the gappy bridge across the top two levels as well. Just one question... sure, those windows can open, but who is going to open them? Seriously though, are they accessible from inside?
  2. Location: E03 Tags: Exploration (first encounter with alien animal, I think) Yikes! This has got to be the hottest planet I've ever been on! I'm literally sweating through this air conditioned spacesuit! I know what you mean, Whipper. It's even worse than that time I went diving into a volcano trying to fish out my lunch bag! We really oughtter measure this temperature! That just looks like a stick to me... This here is one of the most effective thermometers you are ever gonna see, Whipper. Stick it up in the sand now, will ya? Okay... 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004... Oh look, Granny! Here comes an alien life form! Don't interrupt! 1005, 1006 - I'll loose count! - 1007 - and there she goes! Yikes! Yep. It took until 1010 that time I went into the volcano. Hey, whatever happened to that alien life form? You mean the Ertauq Chicken? That's what it was? Yeah, anyways. That thing. Right here! After getting sick and missing the eyeball soup this morning, I'll bet you're ravenous. You know, Granny, I do think I'll try a bite... That's the spirit! I wonder what they're thinking back at headquarters. In fact, I wonder how we're going to get back. And what about the mission we're supposed to be on? Whipper, you aren't gonna get very far if you're always stuck to the end of Lord Business' tie. I haven't been roaming the galaxy for 67 years by listening to what my bosses say. But... you know... maybe we should just try to get back in contact... Oh... maybe... tomorrow. To be continued!
  3. Wow! This is amazing; the lighting effects are fantastic and so are the details. The dark blue hull is awesome!
  4. Gotta love that monkey. Great work. I really like the comic strip presentation here; makes the whole thing really pop! The cloud backdrop you've used is very nice too!
  5. Quite a twist in your story here! Very intriguing! Clever Mia... I especially like the dock scene here - great use of dark brown!
  6. This is a just fantastic micro ship, Garmadon, the attention to detail is incredible! Love the chibi look that the lantern on the back gives it, too. The rowboat hull works astoundingly well.
  7. Thanks guys for the comments! Thanks Titus! Interiors are so much fun! Well, to look at. They can sometimes be a pain to build, because you have to make sure the walls you use look good from both sides! Thanks SK! Like Garmadon mentioned, those are technic pieces - worked really well! Why should Avalonians have a monopoly on green? Thanks! Thank you! You should try something hinged, but do be careful to keep it a little open as you build otherwise you're sure to attach it at some point. Olive green is so useful! Thanks!
  8. Thanks! Thank you! The pavement (especially the profile brick part) was fun! Thanks Bregir! Yeah, the interior made a big difference since otherwise it was just a pretty boring facade! Thanks Garmadon. Only, curiosity is usually piqued, not peeked.
  9. Like what you've done here; the white sails do help the Eslandian look and I especially like the printing on them.
  10. Really like your choice of color here Capt Wolf; the yellow, red, and white go very well. Nice carriage as well and I really love the conquistador statue! Cool to spot a couple of my sig-figs too!
  11. Very nice roof, that technique is a bit mind-boggling in fact even though it's obviously 1x1s! The profile bricks add a nice bit of texture.
  12. Fantastic. Love the fleur-de-lis on the ground; but the fountain is great too and so are the colors you've used for the ground and the back wall! The stairs are amazing as well!
  13. Cat needed for balance. Very nice; really like the two globes.
  14. Those coins can't be real. There's no way they could float like that! Very funny.
  15. Decided to build another opening building like my inn. But I also wanted to get some bright colors in there. Well, it sure has been a while. This was a lot of fun to build - C&C welcome as always!
  16. Thanks! The eagle was a fun addition! Actually I posted because it's something of a collaboration with another builder and I didn't want him to think I'd left him high and dry (since I said I'd post in April). There are windows around back; but you'll see those when I upload the rest. And yeah, I wasted a lot of time over that door and finally settled for this as about the best I could get given the wall technique... it would really be nice to have an arch over the door, but with the SNOT tiles, I don't think that's possible. Thanks! Thanks Titus! But practice makes progress! Thanks!
  17. Detective Rhys Thomson looked around him with satisfaction as he crossed the almost empty streets of Salida Este. He nodded pleasantly to a few passersby as he opened the heavy oak door that lead into his little office. But he was thinking of what his wife always said - how he'd never get any clients by setting up a detective's office out here in the boonies. Well, he'd prove her wrong, he would! He stepped into the office. It was smallish and quite cluttered, but he remembered another saying of his wife's which she used to throw at him whenever he wondered out loud if her pampered nephew (whom they were raising) would ever amount to anything. "Tall Oaks From Little Acorns Grow!" she would retort, capitalizing every word and being very careful to exaggerate the exclamation point at the end. Thomson heard the door open behind him and he turned around quickly with a jovial smile. "Good day, sir! As my wife always says - 'Every day is a good day, if it starts in bed.' Your day started in bed, of course, I presume?" The newcomer smiled a little at the detective's quirkiness. "Yes, yes, of course. You are Detective Rhys Thomson?" "Indeed, so I am. Rhys Thomson, to serve you. What can I do for you this fine morning? - since you are out of bed, and here, I presume you have some business?" "Some business, truly. A difficult case. As you are the only detective for miles around, I have come here." "Ha!" the detective exclaimed jubilantly! "So my wife always said! 'Why, you're the only detective for miles around!' - but, you see, she thought that was a bad thing. Let's see here. You have a case, I have some time, voila! The perfect match." And the detective swiped a pile of papers off the chair and motioned his visitor to a seat. "Let us proceed to business at once," Thomson went on, straddling the scattered papers. "A case, you say. What sort of case, if I may ask?" His visitor lowered his tone mysteriously and bent forward. "A case of murder." ...To be continued! Comments are always appreciated! Thank you for looking!
  18. It has been brought to our attention that the rules are perhaps somewhat skewed in favor of the imperial factions and against pirates. For this reason, the following changes are being enacted: Sea Rat Prices Rule Update: Sea Rats will now have, besides 50% off land licenses: 30% off ships 30% off raising troops 50% off troop upkeep However, they will no longer have the automatic 3 faction warships (but they will continue to keep the two three they still have, until those are lost). Also: Independent Contractors Rule Update: Sea rats can call upon an independent contractor for help with a piratical mission. At the cost of 1/5th of the profit, a Sea Rat can hire a randomly rolled 1-3A vessel to tag along. For 3/5ths of the profit, a Sea Rat can hire a randomly rolled 4A-5HA vessel to tag along. Independent contractor ships may be used as escorts or predators. All players sailing in conjunction with an independent contractor must give up 1/5 or 3/5s of their share (as applicable). These rules go into effect May 1st.
  19. They're supposed to begin May - and thanks for reminding me, I need to post them.
  20. Fantastic vig LittleJohn, both types of windows look really nice and I also like your use of grill bricks! +1 for the UoP credits.
  21. Thanks SK! Thank you! Unfortunately I wouldn't have enough pieces to make another window... or another statue... or another pillar...
