  1. Great intro build Capt Wolf, I really like the green curtains and the furniture is neat as well!
  2. Very nice lumberjack scene, I really like the way you've used both brown and dark brown on the trunks!
  3. As you've probably noticed by now, Eslandola is busily engaged in Kolonizing Mardier's Assets. Temporary structures so far have been set up with wood, but one of the first things on the to-do list is a bit of prospecting. Mainly what's needed at the moment is a stone quarry, but our prospectors sure wouldn't be sorry to find a little something else... In fact, one of them thinks he's found a bit of gold already... but ten to one it'll turn out to be fool's gold or maybe just a ring dropped by a native. Meanwhile, the older hands go about their work steadily. I think this is one of my first attempts at dark tan rockwork - as you can tell, I really don't have that much. C&C welcome as always!
  4. Fantastic concept with the walled farm, Elostirion, and I really love all the variety of plants you've got in there! The loosely attached plates for the little building works really well too, and nice touch with the black soil!
  5. Nice rendition of the natives Faladrin, I really like the use of palm leaves on the roof!
  6. Really nice pair of ships Legostone, nice work on the hulls and the rigging! Good job with the action shots as well!
  7. Very nice job on that carriage in particular! You've achieved a really good shape!
  8. That palace is looking pretty amazing! So does the fort, for the matter of that. Looking forward to the final products!
  9. The blue looks really good with the dark red roof! Nice interior as well!
  10. Yes, actually, I believe that's the case for most of them - at least for all the ones I checked. So Titus, looks like you're the only one with editing to do.
  11. Thanks Capt Wolf! The purple bricks are mostly from the PaB - though, for the record, they aren't really true brick-bricks, they're 1x2 tiles. Those and a whole bunch of 2x3 plates showed up on one of my rare visits and, purple being my favorite color, of course I had to stock up! You can thank Garmadon for the masts being stepped forward. I wouldn't have bothered, but he said that was how they needed to go. Thanks! I pretty much used the colors I had available... there is definitely no color other than purple that I have nearly so many 2x1 tiles in! Thanks deraven! I love those little lantern designs! ...I mean, to look at. They're a pain to build! Thank you! I was actually surprised, given the angle of the brick bending hull, how easy it was to transition to a deck and also how sturdy the final result was! Hmm... mixing black and white always brings zebras prominently to my mind... Thanks! I didn't want to spend much time on the rigging, honestly, after having seen how long Garmadon usually takes... I could have done bigger jibs, it's true, but Garmadon does these massive jibs that make his ship look tiny. Maybe mine are too small, but at least they don't dwarf the ship by comparison. Thanks dr_spock! Yep, Garmadon thought my tiny jibs were crazy too.
  12. Thanks blackdeathgr!
  13. Thanks! The whole build is up by now...
  14. Thanks Exetrius! I actually was going to throw in dashes of sand green, and had the container on hand for that purpose, but totally forgot about it while I was building. Thanks! Mystery is handy when you don't have anything else to say... Don't let me discourage you though! You can surely figure it out!
  15. Really nice little build SK, the hay bales are excellent and so of course is the snowscape! The cold must be getting to them!
  16. So that's how you all do it? I object - he's standing too close to the map. The bright yellow looks great!
  17. Very nice first build - you've got a very Avalonian landscape here with all that green! Great work with the elevation changes as well! +1 for the UoP tree credit - as gedren said, they're somewhat basic, but still well done.
  18. Looks like Otonio and La Sombra have won the day as far as names go! Yes and yes.

  20. MCS stands for Merchant's Colonial Ship. Presenting the Filo Morado , by far the largest ship I've ever built! What I like most about this ship was that it only took me a week to build. Despite the front curve, this was a lot easier and a lot sturdier to build than it might look! Third mate enjoyes smoking a pipe on break time. The Captain of the Filo Morado has a very curious practice when it comes to punishing refractory crew members... he dresses them up in Oleonese costume, chains a cannon ball to their leg, and then makes them swab the deck. The Oleon ambassador to Eslandola suspects that occasionally the unfortunate individual thus "punished" is actually an Oleonese prisoner, but he's never been able to prove anything! The cook cleans fish over the side. Credit for the lantern design to W. Navarre. Glad to be back with another BoBS build! C&C appreciated, and thanks for checking her out! I'd like to upgrade this to a 6F whenever that's available, so I'm stating my intentions here as per the Naval Court rules.
  21. Last of the topics I never got around to replying to, but not least - thanks guys for the comments here! No use in letting the grass grow under our feet, right? Thanks! Thanks Ayrlego! Thank you! Yep, we did a bit of preliminary planning to hopefully get things to more or less line up in the end! Thank you! I actually often find closeups much easier to shoot nicely than overviews! Thank you! The oddly angled bridge was a bit of a pain, but not quite as bad as I had initially anticipated. Thanks! Bunnies were a must!
  22. Another batch of comments I totally missed... thanks everyone! Thank you! Yeah, that technique works beautifully for things like this, but it's very part consuming! Thank you! A "red carpet" for this sort of MOC was a must! Thank you! Yep, those Mardierians sure need to be taught a lesson! Yep, finally. Ah... all I can say is I sure wish that judge had the suit and wig! Thanks blackdeathgr!
