  1. Hopefully this isn't considered bumping, but I just realized that what with my vacation and all I completely forgot to thank everyone for the comments! Thank you! I've always thought that taverns like this really could use roofs, it helps out the feel so much, but it can also make things really tough to photograph, so when I hit on the idea of a lattice of rafters, I knew I'd have to try it out! Thanks! Barrels are so handy! Thanks Elostirion! Thanks narbilu! Thanks! Packing so much stuff into a vig like that is a lot of fun! Thank you! Thanks Titus! Thanks!
  2. Thanks everyone! Thank you! This kind of rockwork is time consuming but really rewarding! Thanks Titus! I think this is my first upload with my nifty new camera... By all means give it a go if you get a chance again, but just to warn you... it's maybe not as easy as it looks! Thanks MassEditor!
  3. I was completely expecting that. Edit: a teaser from me:
  4. I can't seem to find it either, and I'm a Grand Duke... maybe it's a Mod/etc only thing? @MKJoshA If you click on the brick that should take you to the first unread post, same as always. Funny how some people's tags are all in a line and others aren't...
  5. Calling all Eslandians! The time has come for our illustrious empire to name its latest aquisitions! Island 8: Otoño Celadon Románova (Courtesy of Elostirion) Island 13: La Sombra Trader's Hold Fontonajoland (Courtesy of Elostirion) Please vote for your favorites!
  6. This is no fair! You have more Eslandian troops than I do!
  7. Not a huge fan of the upgrade right now, but I'm sure it will grow on me. There are some pretty neat functions though - like being able to create your own custom "stream" that will give you all the unread topics from your forums of choice on one handy page and put a link to the stream on the top right of every page. Now that's neat.
  8. Did the McDonald's guy say, "Sorry about your wait" or "Sorry about your weight"?

  9. Very creative build LJ, and lots of neat techniques to look at - I really like the 1x1 rounds inside the donut pieces (or whatever 2x2 round tiles with holes are called). The Ferrari chariot is really well done too! +1 for the UoP credit!
  10. Really nice double-sided triple-layered build! I really like the angles out for the various levels, and the poster on the back is really well done! Great job on the water there particularly!
  11. Beautiful microscale, I especially love the lake with the little houses behind it! Great job with the olive green at the water's edge - it looks really natural. It's really great how much variety you've managed to pack into here without it seeming crowded and the little details (like the boat and the outhouse!) are fantastic!
  12. The tile approach for the water did indeed work quite well! I also really like the entrance to the cave - looks very natural!

  14. Great little build, I really like the woodwork on the wall! As others have mentioned, your bases look great! Keep bricking!
  15. Very nice Mitgardian banner! I really like your well textured landscaping too!
  16. Good point. I bet all your faction discussions are boooring! Oh please! What am I, 18 DBs behind him and he's gonna buy us all out? Let's get our math straight!
  17. But then we would have missed all this wonderful discussion!
  18. That sounds like Garm, all right.
  19. I honestly do not know whether or not this build fits within the size requirements (because Garmadon was dying to borrow all my rock pieces and totally demolished it before I realized that the size limit was 16x16 and I wasn't sure what the footprint of my build was). I think the base is less than 16x16, and I think that even with the overhang it's under 256 studs, but I'm not sure at all, so if I'm disqualified - well, I'll just blame my brother. That said, here's my entry.
  20. Edit: For the Resistance. Who is this that cometh, with light tread, towards the altar of his ancestors? Why doth he draw a scarlet knife and light the flame of war? One last picture, just 'cause I love my blobs of rock. Glad to be back with another GoH build! Had fun with the photography for this one. C&C welcome as always!
  21. Another beautiful tree, Full Plate, the organic look of your axe technique is fantastic! Thanks for the tutorial as well - while I can't see myself doing anything so tedious (says the person who stacks 1x1 round tiles for cobblestones...), nor do I have enough axes or droid arms, it's still really neat to see how you did it and your trick of using droid arms to angle foliage is ingenious - that I might have to try! Looking forward to seeing where this story goes!
  22. Nice FP! The loosely stuck plates on the bottom give some nice texture too. And the sack in the last picture works great!
  23. Great work for your first build in this style, Zaael! The blue and white on the building look really nice and so does the studded stonework on the corners! And welcome to BoBS!
  24. I agree with Titus - your landscaping has a few too many straight lines, but the interior of the tomb is really neat, especially the cheese slope patterns on the floor! +1 for the UoP credits.
  25. A trio of excellent scenes, ayrlego - the interior furniture looks really nice! Evidently Jenkins collects colorful books. The tavern interior is great too, particularly the red counter-top and the wheel on the wall. And good work achieving a dense jungle feeling in such a small space!
