  1. Actually I meant to suggest putting white behind the clear, where it would not be directly visible. The grey gives the clear a dark tint. Edit: A small (very small) example.
  2. I really like the shape of the base here! Great use of those hammers as well. And cool idea to feature some of Uncle's exploits when in his younger days! Hmm... I just might have to do a series off that... !
  3. Great take on this! Very funny.
  4. Well in fact BoBS has been consuming an awful lot of my build time as well, . Thanks!
  5. The plantation has been bought, 29 shares sold: Kai, 6 UM, 2 Elostirion, 6 Phadeout, 5 Sir Stig, 5 Capt Wolf, 5 Stash can claim his whenever he drops by - it's reserved!
  6. This previous build has now been licensed.
  7. Several MCTC members have recently collaborated on a Royal Cotton Plantation! I've also got another free-build up, which is also an official declaration of war with Mardier and the next segment of Rhys Thomson's detective story.
  8. This is a continuation of the detective's story; check out the introduction, the next part, the third part, and the fourth part for more. Bang! Bang! "The High Court of Eslandola is now in session! Be seated!" Bang! Bang! The blows of the judge's mallet reverberated throughout the room. The Secretary of State - Guy K. Wyndzon - walked the length of the hall and stood ceremoniously beside the judge, as if he were only just now revealing the important diplomatic determination of the High Council. As a matter of fact, Guy, the judge, and King Fernado himself had been up late last night, trifling delicately with a bit of freshly imported chocolate while they cracked jokes about "those weird Mardierians." No, this declaration came as no surprise to the judge. Nor would it come as a surprise to any of the diplomats, councillors, and ambassadors in the room. But for forms' sake, all things had to be done "decently and in order," so the judge was ready and present to pronounce the official declaration of war against Mardier. Then came the usual invitation to the agrieved of the Kingdom to present themselves before the supreme judge of the land for redress. This was usually just a form too. But this time, something was different. An older gentleman, with a monocle in his left eye, walked briskly up the red rug. Directly in front of the judge, he stopped and bowed slightly. The judge recognized his good friend Rhys Thomson, and took the missive the latter offered him without hesitation. But as he read, he became manifestly more nervous and excited. At last he looked up at Rhys in surprise. "Is this true?" he queried, in a voice very different from his usual business-like tone. "Every word of it, sir!" The judge fidgeted - drummed his fingers - then, picking up the mallet, declared, "Your case is heard! The warrant for his arrest will go forth immediately. Expect another summons to present your evidence within two month's time!" Rhys bowed again with a satisfied smile, and retreated down the rug. And once more the room echoed with the reverberations of the judge's mallet. Bang! Bang! "This High Court is dismissed!" Bang! Bang! ----- OOC: In my capacity as Eslandian leader, this build is an official declaration of war from Eslandola to Mardier, seeing how Mardier, by preying on our shipping, has already effectively declared war on us. All Mardier privateers are henceforth legal prey for any Eslandola privateers, though in pursuance of our usual policies, trade ships are not to be molested. This is also an official petition to the court of Eslandola to consider Rhys Thomson's case - what exactly that is, you'll have to wait to find out! I borrowed the paneling technique loosely from Jacob Nion
  9. The MCTC has licensed its Royal Cotton Plantation in Bardo!
  10. As you are probably aware by now, MCTC has gotten together five builders to collaborate on a Royal Cotton Plantation! Here is a picture of each of the five builds. Each one is at least 96x32 studs, with several being larger. The Farm Or "Bacon Escaping" - Phadeout Inspection Continues At The Barn - Capt Wolf Late Dinner At The Royal Plantation Mansion - Sir Stig Horror, Flowers And Cotton - Elostirion Inspection! - Kai NRG Hope you enjoyed the chance to see this develop, and look out for more MCTC ventures down the road!
  11. Royal Plantation Venture Shares are 50 DBs each, for MCTC members only. Each share pays a monthly dividend of 20 DBs. There are 30 shares. MCTC will cover the rest of the costs and will take the rest of the profit. The MCTC has the right to buy out shares whenever from anyone for their initial price of 50 DBs. When applying, be sure that you have the necessary DBs. The MCTC tenders its thanks to our glorious King Fernando for his willingness to grant us yet another charter. Transfer the DBs immediately to MCTC's account and let us know below, please! 6 shares transferred.
  12. The roof of that barn is fantastic! The palm trees are a great touch as well.
  13. Really like your little chicken coop and pigsty... so cute! Well done with the irrigation canals too, the planks going over them are a great touch! Oh, and, run Gustav run!
  14. Great second (or fourth) installment here Elostirion, I love what you've done with the canal and all that cotton is beautiful! The other flowers liven it up really nicely as well, and the guy running away from Uncle is spot on.
  15. Very nice build ayrlego, I really like how you've done the sloping hills of bamboo leaves. The waterfall is well done too though putting white bricks behind it would have given it an even foamier look.
  16. On time entries will have a slight but not insignificant bonus, so go for it!

  18. Where would the MCTC be without Uncle? You all know (well, maybe you don't) that last time Guy's Uncle went off on vacation, Guy ended up throwing a mayor's application into the fire by mistake. Sir E.T.W. de Chauncourtois shrewdly suspects that was the least of the mishaps, but the others were probably hushed up for the good of the Company. Be that as it may, Uncle is always active in MCTC's service. This time he is in Bardo for a tour of inspection of the MCTC's latest investment: a Royal Cotton Plantation! Pigs have a distinct tendency to escape at the most awkward of times. One of the workers is doing his best to catch this renegade before Uncle catches sight of him. All the workers, of course, are trying hard to look appropriately busy as Guy's Uncle approaches the first segment of the plantation - or the last segment, depending on how you look at it. Guy spent quite a while at the breakfast table that morning trying hard to convince his Uncle that the plot with the aqueduct was the last plot, but Uncle insisted that since it was first on the road coming out of Bardo, it was the first plot. Uncle was glad to discover that this is only the guardhouse; no one lives here. And even he would have to admit that it's built in the most approved Eslandian style, with dark red bricks, whitewash, and green shutters. A+ here. More workers pretending to be busy. The other parts of this collab will be coming soon, so stay tuned! C&C welcome! Thanks for looking!
  19. Very nice house, I really like the roof angle! The interior is great as well. Edit: +1 for the UoP credits.
  20. Very nice raft, the blue background sets it off nicely! Great use of barrels.
  21. Don't know what it is but I really love this build - the sand green, white, black, and gold all complement each other really nicely! Great interior too, I like the floor pattern and those pillars as well!
  22. Although I agree with Gabe that the pixelated style detracts slightly from the atmosphere here, the colors work really well especially the bits of ice on the trees! Great posing of the deer too. +1 for those UoP credits!
