Nocturnus Minichallenge III B: A Tasty Treat
Kai NRG replied to LittleJohn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great entry LJ, lots of really neat techniques - I love the way you did the oven especially with the curve on the floor! The wall with the ball joints is really creative too, great curve! Lots of other awesome details like the venus fly trap and the pumpkins, and clever idea for the presentation with the inspector! -
I don't believe it's actually a settlement yet, just a prospective settlement.

[COR - Oct FB2] Raising the Colonial Militia
Kai NRG replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Neat little vig Ayrlego, the green of the palm tree really pops and I love the dark green roof too! The cannon is pretty cute, though a bit small! That one olive slope looks a little out of place though.- 12 replies

Nice landscaping Capt Wolf, and great landing scene! I wonder what King Fernando's reaction will be when he discovers that the blues are helping Eslandola!

The Least Dreaded Pirates visit Astrapi
Kai NRG replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Pirates playing ping-pong... who would have thought it?!? I really like the cracked dock and the guy in the water is a great touch! Cool ping-pong table as well! -
Very nice ship dr spock, I like how you did the furreled sails! Not a huge fan of the fence pieces you used (they don't look very pirate-y ), but on the whole she looks fun to mess around with! And I'd imagine she'd do well disguised as a Corry.

I feel sorry for those poor soldiers, stuck between a rock and a hard place it would seem! Very nice little watchtower and excellent photography as usual!

Very nice MOC, I love that roof and it goes wonderfully with the yellow wall! On another note, I wonder if this will prove to be a well thoughtout majority decision, or just the work of a few rabble-rousers... time will have to tell!

A Quick Eslandolan Lesson on Profit!
Kai NRG replied to Garmadon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
By using my fancy new camera. On a serious note, Garmadon and I just about always take pictures outside either on a cloudy day or in the shade with a paper background. With almost any camera pictures like that will turn out quite decent, though of course having a good one helps a bit, to say the least! I found that with my older camera it was easier to get the color balance right by taking pictures on colored paper rather than white (pictures often turned out bluish or greenish) but the newer camera doesn't seem to have that problem. I still shoot a lot on colored paper though.- 13 replies

[OL - FB] 'Persévérante' and 'Comtesse de Praenia'
Kai NRG replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Two fantastic ships, beautiful work on the curves, rigging, and sails as usual. I really like the looks of the Comtesse, though as Legostone says it's unusual because a full model, and it might look a little more in context if you had done a stand under it. Still, that technique is great and so is the shape of it! -
A Quick Eslandolan Lesson on Profit!
Kai NRG replied to Garmadon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Fantastic vig Garmadon, you did a really impressive job with all those cutaways and the choice of color is splendid! I really like the interior too, great use of those shurikens as well! On another note, I wonder what would happen if Captain Wiffo and Captain Argentum ever met up...- 13 replies

The curve plates give a really nice feel to this MOC! The palm tree also looks pretty good at this scale!

[ESL] Governor's Palace, Nellisa
Kai NRG replied to Elostirion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Quite a packed story when it comes to the political atmosphere of Eslandola here! Great collaboration between you and Bregir, though Guy Wyndzon's loyal nature is somewhat horrified at the republican and revolutionary opinions of Roman Fontonajo, and quite surprised at Don Montoya's perception of the proposed treaty between Corrington and Eslandola. Very nice build on top of all that, I really like the flowers arranged as the Eslandian flag - ingenious! The engineering of the interior is also very impressive! Great job!- 18 replies

Great build! I really like the style you've been achieving in these last couple of MOCs, plenty of texture but still very "clean." The interior on this one is especially good - I really like that piano! -

Prince Fernando for the Double Duty, The Golden Snake for Dragon's Teeth. -
I just wanted to say, since it seems like Garmadon and I have taken a bit of a beating for not having put caps on the KMA in the first place, that we had absolutely no idea that island 11 was so integral to Ska's plans for the future of BoBS. We would certainly not have been so supportive of the project if we had. Nor have we now (or at any other time) ever tried to bend, let alone break, the rules. If we have done so unintentionally (they are fairly complicated you know), we're sorry for it! Again, had either of us foreseen the KMA leading to this, our reaction to the initial idea would have been very different!

Thanks to everyone for your comments! Thanks Titus! If Elysabeth will pay his passage I dare say it could be managed! Thank you! In fact, it seems like King Fernando might not have had the whole nation quite on the same page with him in his latest actions... Thanks BrickCurve! I completely ran out of vegetation otherwise I would have been glad to make it a bit thicker! Yes, we both use the same camera - thanks for the tip!

Very nice jungle scene Ayrlego, and quite a fine troop of soldiers! Strikes me as though Mardier had better start trembling in its boots!
