I am amazed how the mount up mini challenge spawned so many great creatures, but that it also gave you the idea for this series of builds is just great. Can't wait to see the next instalment! -
This mini challenge is brilliant. So many good ideas and such great execution, this definitely included. I surely wasn't expecting this level of diversity!

With this build I can hardly wait for what you come up with for the other guilds on your tour! And will of course be looking forward to seeing proper (aka Avalonian ;) ) builds from you again! Great build and great sense of action in the posing. Very Kaliphlinite feeling to the architecture.

I like the snowy details on the roof and I think the base turned out great. However, what I enjoy the most is how you are using a story to tie all these builds together. Great job!

I think this is the first entry posted for the 5th Avalonian task, and it really sets a very high standard! You will surely bring great glory to Avalonia. All hail Avalonia! :D

Welcome to the new members. I think those are some really solid entries, and I can't wait to see more builds from you. Further, with all this awesomeness, it really bugs me to be away from my bricks! At least it's due to holidays:P -
A shame you didn't get this in in time for the GNAR challenge! I think it could have helped tip the scales in Avalonia's favour! Great build

Nice build! I really must say you have improved a lot already - that base is really well built. Only thing is, I would have preferred to have the trading going on on the base too. And I will echo the others in praising the wagon too. Looking forward to following this story! /Bregir

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Bregir replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
A question - After the Revolword wars, didn't Historica reinstate the king in Cedrica? And in that case, shouldn't he be doing something to handle the things happening in Nocturnus and Avalonia (and the other Guilds, when we get that far... I might have missed something. :) -

A few questions for task 5: 1) If your sigfig's fortress/stronghold is smaller than what would fill out 32x32, you could fill out the space with landscape or sorrounding buildings, etc? 2) Should this be open to all guilds, like task 4? -

Great to see and updated map (is it updated on the first page too?) Task 5 seems like quite a mouthfull, but I am certain we will see some great entries all around - over time. /Bregir -

Greetings, Historicans I am working on putting my lands on the map, and in that process, I have built the farm presented below. I am quite happy with it, but as always, landscaping isn't my strongest side. I have tried photographing in the sun, which I think turned out reasonably well. I am still new here and eager to learn, so please let me know what you think. In the lands of the Trifork, in Avalonia, near the border to Kaliphlin and the heartlands of Historica surrounding Cedrica, even peace is unruly. Living outside the protective walls of the Trifork itself is risky at best, with Outlaws from several lands, mercenaries between hires, as well as all sorts of shady types roaming the lands, on their way by the busy roads that links so much of Historica. Consequently, the few who dares, and even fewer who succeeds, are bound to reap great benefits off the lush riverlands. One such man is Ser William Drake, recent heir of Drakeshome Manor, a fortified countryside mansion in the midst of some of the most fertile lands of Historica. The entrance to the manor is at the foot of the stone tower, through a heavy, iron hinged oak door under a strong stone arch. The small windows of the tower are barred with sturdy metal bars, and it is evident that only a determined and well-equipped enemy will be able to breach its way into the manor. From the battlements of the third floor of the tower, the defenders will be able to rain arrows and stones unto anyone daring to try, delaying the attackers for long enough for reinforcements to arrive from the Trifork. At the back, two residential wings rest upon the stone barns, in which the cattle and pigs are kept safe from the elements. Drakeshome is one of the main producers of beef, dairy, and pork in the area, selling their wares almost exclusively at the markets of the Trifork. But Drakeshome Manor delivers more than livestock, as its fields on the lush riverplains have some of the highest yields of corn, grain, and turnip. At harvest, volunteers in great numbers arrive from the Trifork and beyond, helping to bring the invaluable foodstuffs home. Below a few more pics: The build is modular, to allow access to the (sparse) interior. The tower also comes off. Here the base of the build with all modules removed. I would like to claim the following UoP Credits: Agriculture and Zoology three of: crop farming raising livestock Further, this should count as Agriculture - Grains and Produce and Agriculture - Livestock for the HSS task. C&C more than welcome.

I concur. It would solve the issue of making sure builders are posed against someone on a similar skill. However, how do you ensure the challenged part is willing to participate?
