  1. Maybe, maybe not, LOL. Try this one, take a 5x7 frame with a lift arm on either side slip one of those 3l hole in the center things in the box then insert a 4l stop axle on both sides to hold it in place, lol. fun thing to get back apart. Dan
  2. I bet you do Paul, LOL. Plastic Bricks Direct is a great store, I,ve bought a lot of stuff from them, Awesome service and fast shipping. Dan
  3. Some people just don't care, this could be a case of stupidity on his part not knowing this is not cool. Dan
  4. LOL, been there, done that. I just did that a few weeks a go, it was'nt pretty but I got them out. Dan
  5. Those are easy to get apart, just need a pick is all, go between the ridges on the axles and pop it out. Yeah I guess for the purest that's cheating, but I tend to do things my own way and don"t follow others in there quest to be perfectionist. Dan
  6. Yeah, there are some German stores that have stupid amounts of stuff, but for me the shipping would be too much so I stick with stores here in the states. I,ve spent a lot with a store out in Washington, great service. Most of the time I t just depends on what I,m on the hunt for, I tend to buy large lots of things unless there expensive.
  7. LOL, on this side of the pond we would say. Wooosh, that went right over your head, LOL. For me its a hobby, I like working with wood, building furniture. I work at a body shop, mechanical things are kinda in my blood, LOL. I,ve all ways had an intrest in heavy equipment, earth moving, cranes. But for the most part it does'nt stop me from enjoying the other things I do. Dan
  8. I know what i would do with them, but you wont like it, LOL. I,d pitch them in the nearest trash can, but that's because I have lots of those pieces. I bought some stuff off Ebay last summer and the was a power puller set in with the 8421 I got. most all the yellow 16 long technic bricks were broke in half. Kids can be very destructive sometimes. Dan
  9. I should add that I have all my old Expert builder sets form the late 70's early 80's, but I guess those would be considered Technic sorta, LOL. Dan
  10. I,ve got pretty much all Technic, there's a little bit of odd stuff in my collection. And the usual plates, n system bricks, tiles Dan
  11. I plan on building a 657 Cat scrapper, just working on the details. Dan
  12. Back in 09 I bought a 8053, then my at the time fiance said my LEGO's had too go. I sold the 8053, and a few other things. Now that its just me, I,ve bought more stuff, and yes. I bought another 8053 to replace the one I sold. You just need to make more room, I went from about a 1000 pieces in 09 too around 40 to 50,000 today. MAKE ROOM!!!! Dan
  13. Well done, I like the way you lock the trailer together with the sliding pin set up. Dan
  14. Brick link is great, but sometimes you spend more on shipping than what the parts cost, LOL. I try to buy a little extra when I place an order from one seller, just so it,s worth their while to pack it up and ship it off. I also only buy from stores here in the states because of the high shipping cost if you were to get it from over seas. Dan
  15. I,m talking TRU prices, the 42000 is 139.99 and the logging truck is 149.99 I believe. Yes you can order it form LEGO for a little less. But as I said TRU had a sale going 20 dollars of all sets 75 and higher, so the 139.99 set was now 119.99. That's less than LEGO. Comparing the parts between the two sets I think the 42000 is a better buy if your looking at is as a set for parts. That's just my opinion, I,m sure other would disagree. Dan
  16. I bought one last weekend, not gonna buy another like most all the other sets i,ve got in the past few years. Its a nice set for the parts, I too see a few things that need addressed with it, but all in all its a nice set. Dan
  17. I would have passed on it if it had,nt been on sale. There is a lot of good parts in it, I think compared to the logging truck its a much better deal if your looking at prices. Dan
  18. I must say you have quite the collection, I bought a lot of large mise lots on Ebay when I first got back into it in 09. 500 up too 2500 piece lots of verious parts n pieces. I got a few odd pieces, I have "one" dark turquoise piston, LOL. All together I might have 40,000 pieces, over a million is had to grasp even after seeing your pics. Dan
  19. GOOD GOD !!!! How many years have you been collecting this stuff? Dan
  20. Thanks for the info, I have a brickshelf site, but I need to upload more picture to it also. Dan
  21. Nice set up, I tried to load a picture of mine, and as you can tell it was a total failure, LOL. The one thing I hate about this site, I can't seem to load any pictures off my computer. Oh well, some battles you just can't win. Dan
  22. LOL I was thinking the same thing when I first saw the pictures, I thought to my self, wonder what he,s hiding there ? I picked up this one up today, fun build. I wasnt sure I,d like it, but after building it I,m happy with it. It was more about the parts, but its a cool model for sure. Dan
  23. I pick up one from TRU today for 20 off the regular price of 139.99, they were having a sale from 2-24-13 to 3-2-13 20 dollars off anything 75.00 or more. There were a couple themes not included. I gotta say I was,nt sure I would like the set, but after building it today I can say I like it a lot. I had bought it more for the parts than anything. the new hubs are nice, I,ve already got some ideas for those. I think for the money spent its a good set, maybe the price per piece is a bit high, but I have,nt worked the numbers on that yet. All in all its a fun build, the suspension is a work of art. Very well done. Dan
