  1. As a model this set was not interesting in my eyes, and from some similarities with some real machine B-model was something what is more realistic; but when I see on reviews for this set - it looks very balanced set with battery box placement and when we compare price with parts included, I would say that price is reasonable and set is a good idea for rc - car MOCs... I have already said what I mean about Your reviews, so I can only give a thumb up (again)...
  2. You're welcome. I like this kind of review also with pictures, because I can read them on smartphone
  3. I know, but because in-line 6 is narrow so this configuration enables smooth and narrow bonnet which is essential for good visibility from driver's cab Perhaps you could make some communal tractor (has street legal tires) for street cleaning or similar...
  4. You can use this wheel at the front to make front wheel like this...
  5. ...and it has 6 cylinder in-line engine like Arocs... Because Arocs has 12 wheels you've made good decision to make tractor with double wheels...
  6. with so many motors I can say only GENTLEMAN START YOUR ENGINES
  7. @Siegfried Very nice and simple review as always. Despite not being fan of flying machines from LEGO, I'm impressed with functionality and building techniques in this set... and it has a number of parts...
  8. ...a new life to old topic...for several month I'was trying to make the narrowest (smallest) front Unimog Implement carrier axle to fit my future MOCs... The axle should be driven and to use both differential and hub reduction 8 to 16. Hub reduction can only be partially fit inside this wheel or this wheel. This is no problem for real axle, but front one has a steering, so there was a problem how to make it narrow enough...One solution was to use CV joint but CV joint Axle does not allow me to put this gear until end, so I have to use universal joint, but I needed 2.5 studs axle which does not exits. Instead of cutting LEGO axles to 2.5 studs length, I'll managed to (partly) solve this problem using this axle because of sharp edges from this set. Images and description can be seen here.
  9. Honestly my friend, the look is GREAT!!! If you like single mudguards then I see no problem, just did not find such models on Internet (Ok I did not look for more that half an hour or something like that)
  10. Great model - this should be Rock crawler model and not 9398. Sorry LEGO designers, but our Japanese friend just made better job
  11. I hope that you have enough electric motors to power all the functions + drive and steer, otherwise you'll have just nice (enormus) display model. Btw very interesting idea for axles and chassis looks stiff enough. Cab is really nice Since my Unimog U423 is in reconstructing phase to make it in 1:18 scale...something like your U4000 and U5023 in in future plans, perhaps I'll think about Zetros 4 wheeler, but for now I'll just follow your development.
  12. Very, very good MOC, but out in the snow - do you have propper winter tires
  13. This red and white was my favorite, hm or this one - a classic
  14. ...just one question, do you have a blueprint ore something with two mudguards an front wheels? All I can find on Internet are like this; just one long mudguard for both wheels (something like rear mudguard on Arocs) at the front and not two one
  15. When you compare this image and concentrate on mudguards I say that shape is very good. Whole cab is very smooth In 70s this was mostly common design or fully chrome wheels which were much more expensive, so I doubt that fire departments were spending money on shiny wheels. Functionality was important and cost control of course...
  16. I understand. this way it looks more authentic to some Kenworth K100 models if spokes are visible, but this model has "holes" in front wheel, hm? It was just a guess...
  17. one simple question - did you try to use wedge belt wheel to"cover" those unpleasant spokes?
  18. lucky for us you made model based on 49.5 tires, for model with Unimog tires you would need license for handling a weapon...
  19. ...or a car in general... anyway great MOC
  20. I agree, usually there are several levels where manufacturers bring gearbox shafts in real cars, but (so far) LEGO gearboxes are actually flat models, because otherwise they are not usable. Real car has 8 speed transmission which will be using 5 driving rings and some 11 studs wide and that is huge in comparison to usual wheel / tire combination (81,6 overall diameter)...that is why (when I'll find time for car building) I stick to something like this.
  21. Concept is interesting, but when I Google a little bit, suspension and drive train looks like this. I hope this info is useful
  22. I'm sure that your beauty performs better that Fernando Alonso's McLaren Honda
