42043-C MB Zetros [MOC
1gor replied to madsen1997's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Keep in mind that real Zetros has 14x20 tires with 1250mm overall diameter. You can use this info and calculate yourself to see which tire suits better.- 39 replies

[MOC] CLAAS LEXION 760
1gor replied to eric trax's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well my dear neighbour, both Powerpuller and Xerion tires have 107mm overall diameter (of course if you dont strech Powerpullers to 123-124mm like me on my J.Deere 7230R...) and Xerion tire is closer to real thing when we talk about width. I understand that there is no 81,6mm tractor tire (yet) to make proper model. For this purpose I use word imagine, but I understand comment was with good intentions -
[MOC] CLAAS LEXION 760

Now imagine this masterpiece with Xerion tires... Superb model is all I can say, I think CLAAS should pay you to buy rights to display your model in their factory -

Only if it is yellow and with Volvo 42030 bucket it would be great LEGO set. Otherwise beautiful model -

My suggestion is to use 6 68.7 x 34 R tires for 6x6 version. So you can make stronger axles with wheels racing small. There are 4 x 4 versions with truck tires, but bigger tires are indeed better and there are crane implements on 6 x 6 versions. Looking forward to see your Zetros. Keep with good work- 39 replies

If I can be of any use; for my Unimog I use 68.8x24 tires, for planned projects Zetros I'll be using Tumbler wheels (probably because of tread pattern) and for Econic 62,4x20 (Econic has smaller wheels then ordinary trucks. This is for scale 1:15. In your scale - perhaps 68.8x24 but they are expensive. I've waited for them to be a bit cheaper and bought 4 of them in 3 stores...68.8x36H wheel could be also used but it is wide tire... Which tire you have in your inventory?- 39 replies

Technic 2017 Set Discussion

Very nice find. Telehandler replica looks very good despite missing new axle with pin hole part and new worm gear. But with so many telehandlers-like equipment there is a little possibility to see this one (as medium size model) http://www.claas.co.uk/products/telehandler/scorpion9055-2016 It uses tractor pattern or utility pattern tires... -

It make sense from financial point of view - one small shock absorber + several beams is cheaper that two bigger shock absorbers and when you calculate millions?? of sets produced, there is a lot of savings. It could be reason that LEGO went for BMW licence because of front suspension solution? -

anyway beauty is in the eye of beholder so for me also CLAAS Xerion's attachment was better in preliminary image than on released version so you definitely have a point here Ondra -

At the first look I also thought like you, but the when you look more precisely it looks (to me) like there is a spring just over light bluish gray wedge belt wheel (the one that pretends to be disc brake). Besides - adventure bike without full suspension - kind of wired, don't you think -

It looks like it has suspension something like 42007 motorcycle - http://brickset.com/sets/42007-1/Moto-Cross-Bike shock absorber http://brickset.com/parts/74741 Of course if in the meantime anyone answered this, I'm sorry for my slow typing -

1gor replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
from license point of view this is reasonable thinking, but I would like Volvo licence to be "used" for backhoe size like 8455 set with new thin pneumatic cylinders at the front, and not for front end loader; we had one very special two years ago as flagship what every Eurobricker knows. So I don't think that we will see another front end loader. for Volvo backhoe LEGO just have to recreate pneumatic system from 8455 with new version and perhaps new tractor tires or tires with pattern like Unimog??? -

:))) I have an old score with graders... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=84978 Beautiful model, but as many Eurobrickers here I would prefer that your model uses CLAAs Xerion tires http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=23798&idColor=11#T=C&C=11 -
HI, first of all I apologize to all who were waiting for my images, but arrival of 68.8 wheels took 3 weeks and the I realize hat front axle needed to be redesign because when I put planned weight on those chassis, soft tires had contact with portal axle hub and behave like brakes... so here are preliminary images (when folder will be public), but when model will be finished I'll post on this Brickshelf folder complete model and update description. you'll be able to see portal axes and chassis that has some similarities with 8110 set, but is smaller and under planned weight steering works good...general planned functions would be both pto working and pneumatic compressor pump with 4 valves for attachments (one at the front, one at the rear and 2 in the middle) http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=566106 thanks again for permission to post

1:20; real tractor commonly uses group 49 tires (2155mm overall diameter) 900/60r42. 42" rims have actual diameter 29+1070+29=1128mm. 29mm is flange height, wheel part that keep rubber on it. Im michelin agruculture manual there are listad all flange heights depending on rim type...shoetly if 2155mm tire is represented with 107mm LEGO version, than rim/wheel should be 56mm aproximatel. Hope this helps

Technic 2017 Set Discussion
1gor replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
well LEGO usually uses nuremberg toy fair for this purpose when we ordinary mortals want to know which sets will be summer sets...just one comment; in (excelent) Xerion review Jim mentioned something about CLAAS Lexion Harvester with smaller tires at the rear than on Xerion ones - perhaps there something on it. where is smoke there can be fire. I think original sentence is like that: And what to think of a potential new CLAAS Lexion Combine Harvester with new smaller versions of the CLAAS tires in the rear. -

I'll be happy with any model that uses 81,6 x 36 R Tractor tire to fit wheel racing small (smaller version to fit Xerion tire wich is not released yet, but I hope It will be relesed in year 2017) -

Idea for cab and front axle. Remember that u4023 and u5023 have different axle like 8110 set, and u216-u530 have like this one. My chassis is partly finished so I can take picture of it and post in this topic... enyoj ...but for some reason my android smartphone?! ignores image..hm?!!!???

I like wheel/tire combo from Arocs becsuse it is realistic, but using 32004a or 32004b wheel I managed to make portal axle with reduction using 8z and 16z gears. resulting steared, driven and suspended axle with 18 studs width and Unimog (at least u216 to u530 that I saw) had bigger wheels than ordinary truck like Actros or Daf xf... I assume that U4023 and 5023 also use even bigger wheels. keep with good work and remember LEGO is like classic musik you can not do it with force, you have to concentrate and to have peace and relatively quiet working atmosphere. When I receive missing tires I'll post some of my solutions in your topic if you allow me
