Technic 2018 Set Discussion
1gor replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There are traiers in reality with single (wider and smaller than usual truck) tires. Because Mack is longnose truck it is possible that in-line 6 cylinder engine is under hood and between seats despite it would look wired -
Now looks much better. you are making it better and better step by step. Perhaps you should think about making cargo plane so you wont have to worry about passenger seats

The only thing they (eventually) could make is some anniversary model as combination of 42068, 42069 and 42070 set like anniversary chassis from 1H, but we have to concentrate us on 2018 when sets (probably) would be released -

General Part Discussion

I do not want to start any speculation because it is not time and place for it, but future supercars are announced so there is a possibility for them... I have noticed in shop that sells lot if purple parts to have 1 x 7 thin liftarm in orange - rare color for this part Expensive indeed- 5,504 replies

Until now I never thought that they will be made in red (at least as pre-production samples...). About ten years ago I remembered that there was a bricklink store with black differentials and now we hqvexred ones- 5,504 replies

Medium Size Mining Dumper
1gor replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think yellow would be better, but until we can see both versions it is hard to be realistic -
It fits collection but when you could make it based on 49.5 tires it would also fit the scale Obout your plane, so far I will (allow me to) point out that you need to make proper tale, passenger seats and stickers for windows

I'm affraid that you're right, but to fit to collection it does not have to be Airbus A380...I was just (loud) thinking about the scale...

Take the time that you need. It is a hobby, not a daily job Plane is developing into something that could perhaps be part of @Superkoala's airport vehicles collection

Thank you. Now I'm counting... -
I understand The only something similar to C model is Airport Cattering truck by @BrickbyBrickTechnic but it would be Mercedes Econic Airport Catering truck. Only problem is that I do not want to dissassble Arocs but currently can not afford additional 42043 set. But now back to topic and keep fingers crossed for this plane

Lego differential gear question
1gor replied to Mechbuilds's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Usually the cheapest way is to buy a set that has them because you will have additional parts. Beleive me there is never enough of LEGO parts -
@Milan I've "surfed" several times through Scale modeling forum and indeed it is really difficult to say what belongs there and what doesn't if you do not want to hurt someones feeling. Following things are justvmy subjective thoughts about categories based on moc type e.g. trains, trucks, cars, motorcycles...and to make subcategories like 1:13.5 and 1:17.5 scale trucks...1:8 and 1:10 scale cars...and here is my suggestion - to make some kind of scale ranges because 1:20 cars can not be so nicely represented with such details like for example Duisenbery by @Bricksonwheels or Ingmar's trucks or @Dennis Bosman's kenworth k100 or @andrepinto's Peterbilts... So my suggestion is to make some limits based on size of models I hope that you can find something usefull in this (rather long) post
