  1. It was some 18 years without Technic. About Eleanor, I was planing to put LPE V8 inside but financial situation caused that project is in hybernation mode
  2. Every start is a bumpy ride, at least you started decent, my start (after dark ages) is still unfinished because lack of panels to make it fully studless. Take a look what I mean http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=365696 To have one topic as collection for all MOCs is not bad idea at all.
  3. Indeed it looks more compact with this axles and 18 studs width suits the scale...175mm mudguards are giving 2400mm overall width on real machine (you can read a bit more in updated first post for this topic). Attachment is fragile more than I thought, so I'll make pneumatic version in future and tested to see how fragile it will be. There is s posibility for short chassis but what i want is to make slimmer chassis using 11 x 5 H frames to make it stronger and to use smaller battery box. I'll see when I bought additional parts what is dooable
  4. After few weeks of laziness I've noticed that 17 studs short axle is not performing like it should (it was bending all the time), so I've decided to put back older versions using frame 5 x 7. Since I'm the one who hates complications chassis was something that in my eyes should be improved. After few days I build another chassis to be in one line like original but could not make it just one stud high because it is constantly bending. Current result can be seen here (first few images show that engine is now completely below cab like it should be and I've changed steering - now I use knob wheels) at the front there are small changes also, but they are cosmetic nature... hood opening (and showing front pto and upper suspension arms) ...picture from below which shows some changes on chassis and both axles (this is for @jorgeopesi) ...few images with tilted cub to show new chassis "in straight line" Notice four blue pins - they are used for attachments like this This was my attempt to make Mulag MHU 800 rear mounted attachment; details can be seen here http://www.mulag.de/en/roadside/products/unimog-equipment/rear-mower/mhu-800/ LEGO version has 4 main functions - rotating whole arm 90 degrees, - raising and lowering boom - raising and lovering grass cutter - transmitting rotation to grass cutter (or can be sweeper...) At the moment it looks like spaghetti made from axles and universal joints, but telescopic arm is not represented like on original. any comments and suggestions are welcome, since when working on other project suddenly I become some idea for Unimog improvement...
  5. you have to scroll up and PM users who were posting that they have pictures...and like @Jim said not to question about pictures directly on topic
  6. I understand - due to limited space and available LEGO parts result was not satisfying
  7. This could be good reason for blue since we see here lots of complain about yellow color as user @agrof correctly mentioned
  8. I understand what you mean, my speculations are mostly bery conservatibe and based on economic point of (their) view and of course phylosophy - less is sometimes more... ...but to 'add' new wheel covers to LEGO production line would not be that bad
  9. Plausible explanation, only LEGO made unusual color choice; they are usually yellow as on picture that you posted above
  10. Yes, but now when probably crows are gone he is studless But what can we tell about this "new" supercar? Which make? Mostly certain is the it will have rims from Porsche, evolution of Porsche sequential transmission?...
  11. Nice (another) blue masterpiece, masterpiece because of nicely shaped moc with very limited number of available blue parts
  12. ...about history, when I first got to technic it was with set 851 in 1979 (I was 6), so number 6 is interesting at the moment. Another thing dealing with number 6 is @Superkoala's previous work of art; the Goldhoffer AST 1X with 6 wheels. What I wanted to ask @Superkoala is: did you ever try to make both 6 wheel drive and steer on Goldhoffer? Thank you
  13. And you would need additional garage to keep it somewhere...or neighbours would turn you to authorities with suspect of developibg secret wepon
  14. ...but sometimes I "misscalculate" myself and build sets (Unimog, Volvo and Arocs) and keep them even today, despite the initial goal to go just for parts
  15. Or browser is playing stupid, like in my situation so due to bug in browser I could not read some posts and understand completely wrong and for my Technic model I start scale model topic. Thankfully there are @Jim and @Milan always around to help. About your latest creation it looks like you are in airport business at least with LEGO. From my point of view this baggage belt loader perfectly fits the scale of (my favorite) aircraft tractor AST 1X. Very nice combination
  16. But exaust (light bluish gray axle joiner smooth) could be used for control of articulated steering What I see us that we have light bluish gray seat (and two blue at the back which we allready had sevral times On the ferry I'm excited/anxious to see what are red parts at the left and right side of the deck
  17. From those blurry images could be up to six (sorry for late response)
  18. Most of sets I look first of all as parts pack, so I'm (generally) not upset about design when there are parts that I need
  19. It could happen, take your time, or perhaps type text in text processing application (like MS Word) and then use famous copy/paste Anyway you can edit it later and make proper topic so don't worry
  20. Honestly only important thing is that artist is satisfied with his work. The truth is that I like gray one the most (only with a bit longer wheelbase would be perfect in my eyes). It is lightweight constructed and has nice axle solutions and nice and simple design
  21. I have one assembled and it is huge, btw my Unimog is half a snack in size compared to Arocs, but if financial situation will allow me I'd like another Arocs and another Xerion (at least). Two years ago I wanted to buy another Arocs to make Mercedes Econic airport truck...
  22. It looks like jeep evolution . Cool trio, but it looks (to me) that gray one's wheelbase is a bit to short for Unimog tires
  23. That is the most realistic outcome for this set. We should appreciate to have another red wheels in new set
  24. You deserve it. I'm thinking of buying another Arocs just to build your model
