  1. So, a cool idea for a build. I think that if you play around a bit more with the rockwork it would be a bit more realistic. I'm not sure what bricks you have at your disposal, but if you take a look at a few of Torgar or MassEditor's builds and emulate some of that rockwork you can get some cool builds out of it. I say that, because that is what I have been doing for the last month or so is just playing around with some rockwork based off their style to improve my own style.
  2. Instantly recognizable as your style, which is a good thing! I love this one, from the roof the brick-built animals A+
  3. I will also give the +1 to marketplace, I agree with Gideon that the white is a refreshing color choice for Kaliphlin style builds as it is very Mediterranean and I would also like to see more of that in Kali.
  4. So, it's been said enough already, but nice first build! I must also comment that the desert landscaping is definitely a plus here as you definitely took the time to give it life(not necessarily living things, but varied height to the sand), which is not typical especially for a first build!
  5. Nice little build here! The axes in the target is clever and the minifig posing is spot on!
  6. I'm with the rest here....great build and even greater to see you back in GoH!
  7. I must say, I'm not sure I fit in here in Kali....with all of the chatter going on, and how little I seem to comment I feel like a lurker! All kidding aside, I am back from several weeks of vacations out of town and will be back to full access. Also have started a couple of builds that I am hoping to find the time to wrap up soon.
  8. Stunning DG! I love it, and the photos are top notch as well
  9. great build sk, and congrats on TBB blog!
  10. Great showing from Kaliphlin! Way to go guys! -Gabe- congrats on landing that job! Very impressive, and I'm a little jealous too
  11. Wow, I had thought as the entries were coming in that there were some really great builds and stories coming in for this challenge, but seeing the way you put together recap with the pictures from many of the builds I was once again so impressed with what everyone put together here for this challenge. And, I second what Gabe said, because Kai's idea and effort put in to the collaboration really did a lot for our side!
  12. My concern is that while we have surpassed Mitgardia in posts, we have not done it with MOC's.
  13. Nice, I like this ship, very stylish!
  14. It's not too late to join Kaliphlin....we'd love to have you
  15. Great stuff here, I really love your chobo series!
  16. Very cool! Glad to have you here!
  17. Nice job behemoth! I think the comment you made about being appropriate for your amount of pieces is most important. If you over reach your resources, the MOC suffers. When you stick to a scale and style you know you have the pieces for you are much better off.
  18. I use a white sheet in the background just so it's all the same color and then I use Adobe Photoshop cs2 to edit the background. It takes a little practice, but then it's really easy once you're used to it.
  19. Typically, the new contest will start with some prologues first. Plus, we haven't seen results from the last challenge which have some effect on the storyline going forward as well. So, sadly I do not believe that we will start this week :)
  20. While I do use brick link to get large amounts of pieces.....do not forget about sets. If you get them on sale or clearance, you can score a good price per piece ratio of 5 cents or less per piece, and you will find creative uses for pieces you never thought of.
  21. Gabe-WoT is Wheel of Time. It is a 14 book fantasy series, that is very good so far(I'm currently reading book 11).
  22. Ska, did I see the that the old blood of Manetheren is in this fight? Just wondering if you made a WoT reference on purpose.
  23. Very cool build here SK! +1 if you still need the votes
