So, here is my entry to the Banner Design Contest. I hope no one minds (particularly ZCerberus, Gabe, Ecclesiastes and DeGothia), but I did download photos from your Flickr to get your sigfigs Photoshopped for this banner! If that disqulaifies me, I understand but I thought it would be great to have some of the iconic sigfigs represented here for the banner. I also used ZC's stream for the GoH shield. And, I do know that is not sigfig ZC, but he fits Nocturnus well. Thanks!

Well, it seems the Men have already outnumbered the Dwarves in sign ups. I guess that means I should join the Dwarven side of the quest!

Fantastic! I love the colors here as well as the overall design of the home!

Nice job NM, great to have you back to building. +1 to the UoP's

Very well executed! Great job

Well well well, I've had a busy couple of weeks and been in and out of GoH pretty spotty for that time. But to come back and find a build like this is excellent! I absolutely love the composition of this build. I have seen other builds with a similar idea of the bridge crossing, but I think the execution here is marvelous! The story is great, I am really quite jealous of Nocturnus and all of the great storylines going on right now. Anyway, the build of the bridge is marvelous, the landscape is spot on and that waypost is just marvelous!

Diaries of Beorthan II: Departure (HSS Military)
Kayne replied to Bregir's topic in Guilds of Historica
Looks good Bregir! Very imposing fortification here. I think the mottling looks pretty good and random, which as you said can be difficult to do. A little more life on the backside would do it some justice to look lived in, but overall very nice build! -
I really like this build! You know you are welcome to stay in Kali as long as you want, we are really quite the friendly guild

I will definitely go vote for it. Very cool, can I get one for Kha?

No, the guy I spoke with at Target wouldn't give me the DPCI. He did go look in the back and found all 3 sets, but told me the boxes said do not sell until Oct. 15, so he refused to bring them and let me get any. So, I think I need to try another Target! The TRU by me has nothing and couldn't find anything either(so they said)

Thank you all! Thanks Kai! I love that combo too, the more, the more I look at it in people's builds Thank you! Thanks! Isn't it? Glad you're back here too, it's starting to feel like Kaliphlin again! I know, I wish I had more of them! I know, my kids kept telling me that, and I kept saying "I know, but that's not the way I pictured the battle in my head, so we are not trying to make sense here!"

Looks good! I am in support of all four +1 claims. I am really liking your colors and style as a part of kaliphlin!

With all of the turmoil in Noctunus, the members of the other guilds have all been uneasy with what the fallout may be in their own homes. Hearing of massive troop movements throughout Nocturnus, Kha gathered forces of Moonshadows, his elite elven forces and headed to the Rakath mountains near the border with Nocturnus. The thoughts were to ensure the safety of Kaliphlin's citizens. The most likely place that rogue soldiers of The Black Spire or leftovers of The Hand of Corruption would be the Rakath Gap. So, I have literally built nothing since the Challenge 2 build back in June. I started a couple of projects and just gave up each time. Finally decided today that I needed to build something to get out of my funk, so here is what we get today. Hopefully this will get me back on track with some builds! I am currently reading A Memory of Light from the Wheel of Time series for the first time and was inspired while reading about Tarwin's Gap. So, if any of you have read that, you may recognize what looks like a Myrdraal or Fade leading the "Trollocs" here. Also, I would like to claim University of Petraea credits for: Military Science-battle scene, Minifig Posing and Geography Mountains Thanks for looking! P.S. I tried to make a 100% purist build and as I was editing photos noticed that my son had stuck one light tan AltBricks weed on the left cliffs. So, just ignore it and pretend this is all purist parts!

Looks great ME! I can see why you are so proud of this particular build, when you really start looking into the build there are so many neat little details and techniques that you've hidden in here to get the overall look perfect for a swamp outpost. Every time that I open one of your build threads I take a quick peak at your tags....still waiting to see that MOC Expert tag show up there
-
Very nice build...it almost looks like it could be a side shoot of the Dark Isles Saga that DC was writing last year
-
Nice Gideon! As usual, you have set the bar high for the Guilds! There are so many great techniques and angles, etc in this build that I could comment all day....but I will just say that I really love the cartographer's stall and the barrels of rolled up maps-brilliant!
-
I don't think it needs to be any longer than what it currently is, as this conveys a feeling newer walls that are still under construction. +1 UoP

Nice DG! The colors really draw the eye in this build, but digging deeper, you can see the leveling of the landscape is top notch as well
-
Wow vitreolum, you've really contributed a lot of cool builds and humor in a short amount of time! This is another one that just cracks me up and I makes keep looking at the same time! +1 to the 4 credits

Wow, those soldiers of the dead torsos look great here. I can't help but think that those are some expensive troops as each of those sell for about $10 on Bricklink!
-
Very cool build Sarah! It just got real in here now, if we're using the Golden Ratio. I'm not sure I can keep up with that much forethought! I usually just start laying bricks and see what happens

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Kayne replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Not sure if it's ever been stated one way or another. But, I would think those coastal areas(especially Greece) make sense as inspiration for Kaliphlin builds.
