Mount up! Rhopalocera Lagargander (Giant Butterfly)
Kayne replied to Kai NRG's topic in Guilds of Historica
I didn't mean your personality, just the creatures. The eyes and colors, etc really make this look like a live creature. That was supposed to be a compliment, but may not have come across that way! -
Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Kayne replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'm trying to be constructive here, so I will apologize in advance if this comes across as an attack as that is not what it is meant to be. @Behemoth-Many of the members of GoH have attempted to help direct you to the way that GoH works. The mods and regulators have also tried to help you to adjust to the forums that we have here. However, it appears that you may not fully understand the unwritten 'rules' of the forums. When you want to comment on a build, it is appropriate to do that in the build thread rather than the guild threads. Also, I know that you are really excited about starting your story, however we have all heard quite a lot about it already and not seen much. Now, I see that you posted a thread explaining more details about your ideas, which is an appropriate way to approach this. But, spamming for comments in the guild thread is unnecessary as we could all see that other thread in GoH. I think that having EB'ers with your passion for GoH is a really good thing for this community, however it is getting to the point that I almost dread logging on now because of all of the threads explaining what you want to buy and when you're going to buy it, and how much more you should buy, and where you're going to buy it from and then again and again and again. You have also asked for advice several times, but when it is given you don't heed the advice and continue doing what it is you were doing. As for your threads, I have had to remain silent since you joined as I was worried I would come across as rude. You have some good ideas and cool storylines outlined, but the sheer number of posts, words, changes of minds and so on has led me to dread checking the forums that I love and usually come to. I for one am purposely not commenting on your posts until I see some builds. I have a feeling that others in this community may be doing the same thing. Be patient and work on the building skills, as that is at least half of what GoH revolves around. Notice, that I have been on EB for 2.5 years and have less posts than you do in 1 month. We are all willing to help you to become a good builder and will be happy to have your stories become part of lore, but please give us more content and less hollow words. -
Well, this is a great surprise this morning! Wonderful city Maxim. I found Kha hanging out with Masa and DeGothia! Also, I'm not sure who the official ruling should come from for the UoP credit number. I know that I am not the one to make that call. That being said, here are my thoughts on the applied for credits: - Architecture: roofing (the flowers) +1-this is a very cool new design. Out of curiosity are they attached to an upside down plate? - Architecture walls: SNOT tiled walls (the camel and doors) I could go with this one if you are allowed to claim more than the 4, but if not I would leave this one out as I think this is the weakest claim you have here. Not that anything is wrong, I love the camel you made on the wall, I just think that it is a small area and you can do better SNOT walls at another time. - Architecture roofrakes (the white roofrakes of the Horses Head Inn) +1 These look good! - Architecture Advanced windows (the fences as windows, the double windows, ...) Not sure on this one, only because I think I can see some other techniques in the pictures from further out, but in the closeups I do not see many advanced window techniques. - General Building: Movement-enabled (the crane on the docks and the crane of the workshop) +1 definitely present here - Trade & Law: manufactering +1 I'll go with this one as well - Culture : Art +1 to this one as well!

Great build Emma, this really captured the feel of your guild and the life(or undead life) of the landscape there. My only concern here is that you addressed only 2 out of the 3 dangers of the fire swamp.

Mount up! Rhopalocera Lagargander (Giant Butterfly)
Kayne replied to Kai NRG's topic in Guilds of Historica
That Mount may have the most personality of any of the entries I've seen! Definitely +1 UoP for you as well -
Wow, very cool! That is so recognizable as a griffin, and of course that speaks to the quality of the build!

I'm late to the party here, so not much I can say that hasn't been said already. But, wow! Looks great, I really love the color scheme you've been using for these Dragon Masters.

This might be definitely be my favorite entry to the contest! Great job!

So, I googled "elves Naida" and came across a series of juvenile fantasy novels called Naida's Quest Trilogy. I wonder if there will be some sort of animated movie made out of it that Lego bought the license to?

I prefer Photoshop, since creative suite 2 became freeware a couple of years ago -
Looks great, expecially that first shot. You've really captured emotion with the figs here as well.

Looks great, Kha is very pleased with the Order and it's presence in Ras-El-Ahken as we try to bring order back to the city.

Nice! Since I'm having so much luck maybe I should ask for a bulk Lego order to arrive at my door as well! -

A little off topic here, but is anyone else seeing a lot of broken links for pics from Flickr in GoH posts? I don't think it's my computer as I can see some of the posts pics, but some are just showing up as broken links? Did Flickr have another update that is causing links to be bad or do I just need to dig deeper and see if something is wrong with my security settings? -

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Kayne replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Mike, Ras-El-Ahken would certainly host the Aslanic Order. The only problem is that while Kha continues to try to set up order in Ras-El-Ahken he seems to keep getting caught up in wars and such! I am really hoping to start fleshing out that city soon, but I just have too little time lately to do what I want with it and still participate in challenges. I propose adding 5 more hours to each day and another day to the week. Either that, or figure out to get my cells to regenerate without sleep.... -
