  1. Yes, seriously. And thank you :)
  2. Haha yes, you would probably be right :p She did of course say yes :D And we then had such an amazing time :)
  3. Hey all, I'm not exactly sure where best to post this so please move it to where it belongs as you see fit, as although it is a topic about something sort of not Lego related, it was done using a MOC that I made, and done in Legoland... around tonnes of Lego!... Anyways, I have been with my girlfriend for 6 and a half years now. It was time to ask her the question she had been waiting for! I wanted it to be special, unique and personal, but many people have done many different things already. Then I remembered her favourite cow teddy bears! I had an idea to make a lego cow version of her favourite cow teddy, holding a sign, and have it placed in Legoland, as we had booked to go there for a holiday. When me and her would be walking around having a look, she would suddenly see it and be shocked, and then I'd be down on my knee asking her to be my wife. I emailed around and finally a lovely lady from Legoland Denmark was extremely helpful and arranged everything in Legoland while I built the cow, and sent it off. Pictures of the cow: The cow used to propose to my girlfriend! by Daft Vader1, on Flickr Modular cow! by Daft Vader1, on Flickr Location Cow was positioned at by Daft Vader1, on Flickr What I still have to mention, is that I made a couple of videos, and Legoland had arranged a film crew and some undercover staff to record the moments leading up to it, and of the proposal itself! This, I am informed, shall hopefully be made available tomorrow, or hopefully in due time once they have edited and created the video, and as far as I am aware, will be made available here: https://www.facebook...EGOLANDBillund. The staff were extremely helpful and most certainly did help to make my proposal go smoothly and in a special and unique way that she will always remember!
  4. The calendars are already released in the Legoland Denmark store :) Im not sure if they are anywhere else yet though.
  5. This is how id imagine the set to be if it wasnt done as a bp. I like that it had quite a few playable features and opens right up, while folding neatly together. Great job!
  6. Exactly this.
  7. I love it! I like all the different features of it. its making me want to get the 8097! Is that seismic charge compartment at the back on the 8097? The entire ship looks really good!
  8. That is a brilliant idea, absolutely love that Stormy helmet design on the top of it! May I make a suggestion which may help improve the use of space? Maybe make the flat plates that the minifigs are stood on, so that each level may be able to be slid out and slid in, so you can fit more figs in the rear? (even if it is your lesser favourite ones) Perhaps like, just using the 2x3 inverted 33 degree slopes, with a 2x2 tile on it, on each side, and let each level of plates slide onto them
  9. But that is just it isn't it, MF's are meant to be sort of chibi-like with space for a minifig to be plonked in? Or am I misinterpreting how they are? And some seem to look chibified simply because they have been designed with the intention of a minifig to be plonked in? I'm actually a bit confused now lol By the way, used a 1x2 plate with the ball socket on it for the neck. Gives full head rotation in any direction which I think is a great function, so thanks Zblj for the idea :) The legs have been changed for mixel joints too, while still remaining the same plate sizes so nothing has changed other than its joints being more maneuverable. Im struggling how to design stumpy legs with some sort of decent flexibility for 'play' function
  10. I really like that! It makes it seem a little more worthwhile to get. Do you have the old version (7662)? If so, would you still recommend someone to get the new one if they had the old one?
  11. I don't like those posts either as they also add nothing. And just because his post might have been worth reading, why can it not be read in another topic? As you mention, adult like conversation and everything, I'd expect adults to understand where to post such things too. Discussing the scenery colours used in TCW is also tangential but nonetheless COMPLETELY off topic.
  12. I don't have enough time to report all the off topic posts. And to be honest, a mod shouldn't have to waste his/her time having to sort through all this just because people can't do something simple and keep on topic, despite the fact I think a few pages back I've seen quite a few mod posts stating to stay on topic. It isn't the modding that is the issue, it is the people.
  13. Seriously... Can all you guys quit with the talking about TCW series, Rebels, who is directing what, what characters are better, who is controlling rebels whether its Disney or not, what will be happening to rebels when the New Trilogy comes out, why TCW ended, who knows more about what is going on than who. PICTURES, RUMOURS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT 2015 SETS Talk about all that other crap elsewhere, it is seriously frustrating reading through all that just to find out none of it is relevant to this topic. Im not going to apologise for 'minimodding' because this has gone on for long enough with no moderation and it is tiring watching people slip in the little bit of off-topic info which explodes into this sort of stuff.
  14. Mixel joints! Of course! I completely forgot about those
  15. Thanks for the comments guys :) I see what you mean... Do you think maybe a slightly bigger head, shorter legs and maybe bigger feet might match the proportions a bit better?
  16. Wow... r74 started the awareness for this, and I ended it We saved people =D +1 Lego community!
  17. This is brilliant! I like how you have managed to mix the Ewok village set smoothly into a scenic thing, and that waterfall/pool Im wondering what is going on in that room with that girl bent over what looks like a table with a guy behind her? (3rd picture down)
  18. Reported to ebay through talking to someone and is now being investigated as potential fraud
  19. Hi people! Long time since I have uploaded anything... But seeing as I got my wish that TLG were making a microfighter AT-AT, I couldn't wait to see it. When I did, I was slightly disappointed with it. It jsut didn't seem quite so... detailed... as I'd have imagined it to be. (Yes, I know it's a microfighter!) So anyways, I finally got round to trying to design my own yesterday, and finished it just a few moments ago. Sorry it is only on LDD but I dont have all the parts, and won't have the money to place an order until October :( It is designed to be built in real life with gravity and stuff considered :P So, here he is! 20. And you feed into the people committing fraud. You pay them, wait a few days to receive your item, in the mean time they have transferred the other 12 payments into some bank account or bought stuff online using paypal as their payment method, and will somehow recoup the money without paypal being able to take back the money meaning they have to pay you back for the loss and lose the money themselves. Sure, they can probably afford it, but it is just wrong. Completely wrong. Especially when it is as blatantly obvious this person is in no way going to honour all them 10236's...
  21. 22. I think that is pretty dam cool! I like how you made it just from the parts, and I think it looks like it would happily fit in a classic space spaceport =D The pipes out the side, and the 2 engines on the rear look in place as a means of power/thrust which is carried off well, and the front section is designed nice and sleek! One thing though... I do wonder how you could potentially make carriages for it and what they would look like? :P
  23. Oh blimey, this is brilliant! I love ships with interiors, and the cool mech that you have done too. The exterior greebling looks really well done too, not just mashed on. Did you happen to get inspiration for the design from one of the Warhammer 40k boarding ships from forgeworld? (Just a guess). I am interested to see how a Tie fighter attaches though, I think that would top off my picture hunger from seeing this!
  24. In a heart beat. It is sooo cute! And captures the sandcrawler EXACTLY in microscale form very well. Dam. Its so cute. I want one.
  25. Mine is the 8088. It's nose seems better to me. But yeah, there isn't a lot of difference. Why don't you get LDD, and download both the LDD files for them, then have a look at it on there, maybe that'll help you decide better?
