  1. I'm on about the Tyderium shuttle, not the ILC ;)
  2. While I can't wait to see the Tydirium, and will probably get it regardless as it is my favourite SW ship, and I'm sure they will do a great job for it.... I can't feel that while already owning 10212 which is essentially as close to minifig scale and accurate as TLG will EVER get to it, that I will ultimately feel slightly less enthusiastic over it no matter how brilliant it is.... as surely it just can't compare to it... other than affordability....?
  3. http://bricks.stackexchange.com/questions/4914/question-about-a-lego-compatible-brand Looks VERY similar to this, which is not lego...
  4. Considering the huge jumps in quality of design/details/shaping over each of the predecessors Im interested to see just how much better this will be. And if they decrease the piece count and keep the same price/increase it as seems typical :(
  5. Alternatively, design your own version :D Im quite happy with using a 2x2 turntable plate to add 'playability' to it... But the ability to squeeze a full droid in would be impressive if pulled off well. Have you tried searching on bricklink's catalogue of all parts that are of the colour trans black? Should come across it quite easily that way. I would do it myself but only on my phone at the moment and Its a pain in the megablocks for me :p
  6. Lego is not a toy, it is a highly detailed modelling material, no explanation required xD That does look good though, puts my mind at ease that in a year time when I get my own place with my GF, that my 10212 can go on a shelf, its not the narrowest of models... I am envious of your general, for some reason, I really like him as that set. Good job with the shelves!
  7. Ive seen the original in the flesh and it truly is impressive. One notable but good difference I can see, is yours has the ability to wink a little bit ;) i do enjoy seeing a bit of playability xD
  8. I really like this version! It certainly is clean, and the solution for the ankles, those joints are an obvious choice i dont understand why TLG didnt do this? The cockpit (both outside and in) look great and well designed. Id be proud if Id have designed that! Great job!
  9. One thing im wondering, is when is the Simpsons House likely to be discontinued? I am dying to get this but money is tight and planned out for the next few months, pretty much up until April, when the Kwik e mart is rumoured to be due out... Would they likely have both on the shelf at the same time or retire one before the other?
  10. I think you missed the sarcasm/jokiness of his post...
  11. While i can believe the X-wing set at the £60 price point as the old one was 50, it would only take a few pieces of support equipment to make it up to 60, I cant believe that the 39.99 set would be the Tie fighter. Our previous one was also 49.99 rrp with 4 figs and just the ship itself. I really cant imagine they would reduce the price by a whole £10 for essentially the same ship, not even if they removed 2 minifigs... It has to be something else... However, I do agree with the rest of the list!
  12. I really like this. I think you have reached a good compromise with regards to the stormtroopers positioning. There aren't a lot of pictures of the interior, namely the cockpit area... Does it have one? I do like the fact it looks close to source material too. Well done ^_^
  13. What with the head and arms from this set: http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Spider-Trike-vs-Electro-76014?fromListing=listing And the right leg from this set: http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Ice-Bear-Tribe-Pack-70230?fromListing=listing Surely a left leg is not far from being made... And then that gives us the closest possibility of a force ghost? Sure, TLG are clearly sticking to the 'trans attached to a non trans' ideal due to the potential brittleness, but maybe a light blue coloured leg-waist attachment and a light blue body could be used? Or even a trans body, solid light blue arms and trans blue hands? I'm just noticing a lot of body parts becoming trans recently and think there may be potential with TLG finally treading into the depths of trans body parts... Thoughts?
  14. I really like it! As above, I like the way you did the backpack :) The shaping of the body is a nice brick built alternative to TLG's single moulded piece. How does it look with a minifig placed on it?
  15. Kinda gutted, but to be expected considering the price they'd have to make it for the piece count they'd need to make it anywhere near as good as the previous. At least I can consider starting bricklinking one :P On the other hand, if this UCS AT-AT/Hoth thing occurs... We had a 'UCS' motorised AT-AT... and knowing how big CG's version is and how it could potentially be unstable for a marketable AT-AT at that size, a smaller but still detailed version, set with a Hoth scene could make some sense. Who knows
  16. I don't know why... but they just look really menacing, and I love the dark feeling they try and show through the design of them. I think they are doing 'dark troopers' really well. The Sith troopers were excellent (imo) and now these!
  17. There is just something about 'dark shadowy empire bad guys' that gets me wanting them... and these are no exception. Are the shadow troopers helmets a really really dark gray, or black? They look kinda dark grey and yet with dark gray printing while the bodies are black with dark gray printing? That speeder looks a pretty decent build too, one that I won't mind spending the time to build quickly rather than just keep aside for spare parts like the 75001 sith speeder... Those shadow guard... I wonder how they'd look with http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb0330 in place of their solid red head....
  18. @legoman Did you not read his comment to which you are responding to? He asked 'what is the point', he didn't question why there were no pictures, to which is what you answered to. His point/question actually still stands, as a review is better done with pictures (pics worth a thousand words and all that), and currently, it seems a bit.... bland. @original poster: It is really great you wish to do a review, however, it may be best next time to wait until you are able to do a complete review including pictures rather than presenting an unfinished review. Reviews are intended to show a thorough in-depth view, and currently, (yes, I know it is not finished as stated) does not. I hope you do not take my criticism harshly, as you do seem to have noted some good main points in your review, and I believe it will be a good review once complete.
  19. No one 'knows' it is the replacement, that is a complete assumption...
  20. One AMAZINGLY awesome fiancee :)
  21. While my hope remains small... All that list implies, is no new system scale Falcon...
  22. As much as I love Hoth stuff, the last Echo Base set literally did nothing for me... I seriously hope they make this one much better, although, I'm not exactly sure how considering the base itself was large and would require a lot of stuff to make it look like a decent base rather than the mess it was last time...
  23. Now those shadow troopers are a BP I'm going to bulk out on! I love the dark feel to them, they have been carried out extremely well imo. The 'mouth' printing also looks like what some people are wishing for on the white stormies...? So that has to be a bonus of some twisted sort
  24. I don't know what could be changed on it to improve it, I love that thing! Any AT-** vehicles are difficult to pull off, regardless of the lack of pics... good luck :) Im needing to carry on my Sith Fury class interceptor... but my HNC and time with the girlfriend are just taking over I cant seem to find the time to settle down into it :(
  25. I did think about that but in all honesty, I think 24 studs is perfectly fine to support the weight of the entire thing which wont be a lot. Clutch power on them plates is pretty strong. I shall be ordering parts for it very soon so I'll be able to let you know =D
