LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You asked for the use of spoiler tags (even though the things people are saying may be minor yhings...), and then here you are saying this kylo guy should have orange eyes if he was unmasked? I can now only assume that may be because he is a sith or evil guy... I dont know, but i dont want to know either way. Please take your own advice... -
Them lips hahahaha! Brilliant! Without a doubt a chibi bqntha, very well executed!

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

Im wondering, on the size comparison between Anio's and TLGs version. It looks like TLGs version is a bit bigger, and so Anio's (successful) way of doing the red sloped bit wouldn't work as easy as on TLGs version... I do however think it is an amazing looking set that clearly fills a lot of people's desires to own an ultimate slave 1 without using bricklink and designing it themselves. I for one (of many) am looking forward to adding this set to my collection. -
I absolutely LOVE this! It reminds me of the sunken ship level on Mario 64 (Nintendo 64 game), not to mention I have wanted to do a small underwater moc for the scuba diver. This is literally perfect to what I would imagine an underwater scene to be made out of lego to look like! The ship looks sooo organically decomposed (?) and rotten by the sea, with the sea life encompassing it, it looks just right.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

Apologies anio, you do raise some valid points. I just dont think it is as bad as you were making it out to be. The problems you mentioned are apparent, but i am unsure some of them are avoidable. The rear red section looks similar fashion as the ties cockpit, except as it is a larger curve, is difficult to achieve any smoother, perhaps even if studded pieces were included. We all know what tlg are like for gaps... So while, on a ucs there shouldnt be, it is no surprise there are gaps, and im sure that while it shouldnt be down to aftermarket fixing, it could be easily fixed. I think its problems are rather minor in comparison with the overall look of it and its various shapes/features thatthey arent really an issue, whereas there isnt a lot to go with the Tie except a ball and 2 massive flat wings, that any flaw will be easily picked up and jumped on. And i stand by my thoughts that they have made the cockpit of the Tie look like it has had its front rammed into a rock and looks too flat due to their method of creating the ball. That definitely isnt screen accurate despite people saying the cockpit does look accurate, and is the main problem i have with it. -
I really like them. I love any form of dark trooper, or sith troopers, and these are done really well. Im just slightly unsure though, if (to me) the shoulders are too big for the model, or if the heads are just slightly too small (difficult problem to fix though)...?

The moc i referred to in my previous post was done with plates for the ball, and successfully (quite surprisingly) achieved a ball looking shape that was extremely easy on the eye. That design also kept with 'looking like lego'. There is no need to only revert to curved pieces. -

It is shameful because he has made one too. I personally though, think they did an excellent job and it is far from shameful. @sir von lego Thats just it though, it actually has been suggested how to make it better, and so far there is no other suggestion that could match it. On the UCS Tie fighter thread by bob, someone linked to someone's moc of it which while has studs on the ball/cockpit, looks sooo much better in pretty much every way. That was the suggested improvement and there is no need to say any further improvement. If you look through the complaints, the wings dont get a mention hardly at all (other than repetitive build but that isn't really a justifiable complaint. Tie has 2 wings, ofc it will have some repetition.) but the cockpit is the main focus of them. They got the wings right, but tried going extravagent on the ball, and, failed. It looks like it flew into a brick wall and got flattened on the front. I dont remember a tie looking so flat on the front, does anyone else? -

I thought they did get released... As 'The Lost Missions'? Ahh nevermind, just read the petition. While i really enjoyed the clonewars, and felt it had been unjustly shortened, things like this happen, Rebels is quite good from what I hear and have seen (waiting until the first 3 seasons are on dvd to wat h them), and I honestly believe there isnt a chance in hell regardless of a petition that they would carry the CW on. Id like to be proven wrong, but doubt I will be... -
[MOC] Lothal Market feat. Meiloorun and Jogan fruit
Fuppylodders replied to darththeling's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I really like this. It actually has a playset style to it that could easily be an official set. It is minimalistic, but yet, at the same time, has a lot going on for how small it is. While I haven't really seen Lothal before (now I've just googled it), I'm also not too keen on the yellow, I would go with tan (SorryGuydudeman ), but the fruits are a nice touch. They sort of humanize the setting that little bit more, putting a twist to the usual 'here's a good guy, and here's a bad guy. make them fight just coz!'. While working at such a small scale for the fruits, I think (maybe because it has been explained) it is clear they are some form of consumable edible thing and works nicely -

I am wondering if it is to do with the exchange rate of the Euro. While the rrp is £109 for the AT-AT, €130 seems slightly excessive compared to what I would have thought it would have been. If I remember rightly (and please do correct me if I'm wrong, I am just going from memory), the difference between UK and EU prices weren't that much. Seeing as the Euro has lost it's value a slight bit (I remember when it was sitting at €1.13 per £ for ages) down to €1.39 per £, i am wondering if this is the cause for the apparent ludicrously expensive rrp prices in the EU? -

Personally, Id go with the first link from TWP's links, and then that item placed inside the top of a 1x1 round brick :) -

Or... Rather than people saying they have nowhere else to discuss these things... and then clogging up the 2015 pictures and rumours topic, could post in the Future Star Wars sets topic which fits perfect with 2015 discussions, as it is technically still future -

[MOC] ATT Armored Trooper Transport Non-Canon
Fuppylodders replied to tibland2's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think its pretty cool. It definitely has the star wars/imperial feel to it so good job on that! I quite like the idea of using the pilots from the imperial v-wing set. -
Well, this is typical. This looks really well done, and the design look good for being solid. Not only that, but the modular build is really something! The technique used for the engines is clever, and works really well and I like that bit a lot as it is usable for many other things as well. This is yet again, another well designed UCS by you.

Back ground looks like the metal mesh sort of stuff that can be found on the side of a PC tower for ventilation (but I don't believe that is the side of a pc tower ) I really like it, it looks pretty spot on and not only instantly recognisable, but a flippin good attempt at getting details as much as possible with the limited ability to due to the small size. The black bit for the window, is that the fez hat part?

Awww, thats really sweet! Keep it, I actually really like it and think it suits being a plaque for the sandcrawler! Now you know she actually has a alight inkling to fiddle with lego, you just need to figure out what might suit her taste best, then slowly trickle them sets in :p

Easy for some, less easy for others? If you have the set, give it a go. If you don't, open the file on LDD and try changing it on that. It looks pretty simple to be honest, just empty it of all the random stuff, and just fill it with chairs. -
While creating the xml file, there should be a row showing the ldd id number and the bricklink part number. One of those will have a part number while for the same part the other row will have a zero instead of a part number. Simply type into bricklink the part number that is in the same row as the zero and youll see what part it is supposed to be... Hoping any of that might make sense :)

List of Star Wars sets that are retiring!
Fuppylodders replied to Something_Awesome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Dont buy a set just because it is popular, buy it because you like it! If you like that set, definitely pick it up. Whether its popular or not, i think its a really good set with a really nice design/size, with good minifigs. If you can get it on sale, dont hesitate! -
I'm pretty sure.... That it is impossible to build a pod racer any smaller than this while being clear it is a pod racer! Good use of the head!

I liked watching this, especially because it didn't get burned at the end ;) Nice stop motion!

While I haven't seen many probe droid mocs as the probe droid isn't something that really interests me, I can certainly see that you have captured it very well and it is highly detailed to a really good level!- 31 replies
