Hestia wasn't in the films, Emmeline Vance was though, and has dark hair.

Doris from the game. I must admit this pack doesn't excite me, but I'll certainly get one.

You must be quite near to me then, I'm about five miles from Bexley. Robert Knox's and David Holmes' injury are two sad stories from the film series. The Ravenclaw dorm doesn't appear in the films, but is in the AT set. It makes sense to get all dorms and common rooms, but more obscure rooms that don't appear in the films such as Firenze's classroom would be very unlikely IMO. For the films a prison cell looks more impressive than an office I suppose, and the platform allows Buckbeak to land. There is another prison cell in the Dungeons. I suppose this could be explained in universe as necessary when the school was build to protect students from ne'er-do-well Muggles (before the Secrecy laws came in) and dark wizards. Also, Hogwarts used to chain students up as punishment, maybe they'd lock em up too. Brutal

I like your interpretation of the Dark Tower where Sirius is imprisoned, I could really see an official version of that in future, we know how much Lego like prisons Were you going to add windows or belfry section to the Bell Towers? The size looks a good match for the sets.

They've been mentioned, they look pretty cool right. They don't really look like any part of Hogwarts I can think of, but they're very nice.

Let's not forget Marcus Belby!

I feel I had to make my piece with Bright Light Yellow when Lego gave that colour to Legolas and Haldir, so now I am quite happy with it, except for the Malfoys as you say. Star Wars is I think the only licenced theme that exclusively picks Tan over BLY, admittedly it's probably the grittiest licenced theme so the duller pallet is beneficial.

True, but the CMF and Yule Ball varients had her with medium legs instead of standard legs when she would have been a fifth year, so I don't think giving her short legs in CoS would have been a massive problem Penelope would have made more sense for the reason you say, and it would have been good to get the Ginny hairpiece in tan or Bright Light Yellow for her, but I'm sure I'll find something suitable!

It's clear you've put a lot of attention into the builds as well as the background research. What made you pick skin tones over yellow for the figures?
-
I like the dome construction, I used the same method to make a Rivendell gazebo, but with only eight dino tails so it looked more open. It isn't all that stable though, how strong/sturdy is it with what looks like 14 tails?

Who would you have rather had? Look at it this way, Lego probably wanted to add a Ravenclaw robe torso, and also probably wanted to add another female character (the ratio is 7 male to 3 female, not including the gold fig). Keeping the Ravenclaw the same height as the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff students seems likely too, which rules out the only Ravenclaw who'd make any sense - Penelope Clearwater. That leaves Cho or Luna as likely characters. They've both had four figures each so far, this next wave will be Lina's fifth so Luna isn't preferred too much to Cho I'm going to use the robe piece for Penelope, the extra Luna parts will find a good home I'm sure.

I was looking through what figures Lego released in all sets up until 2018 and was kind of shocked by how badly represented Hufflepuff is compared to Ravenclaw, considering Gryffindor and Slytherin are obviously the more prominent houses. The first ever figures representing Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin characters were released in 2001. First ever Gryffindor and Slytherin students were released in 2001. First ever Ravenclaw student was released in 2010. First ever figure representing a Hufflepuff character was released in 2011. First ever Hufflepuff student was only released in 2018. Number of individual characters per house pre 2018: Gryffindor 16 Slytherin 9 Ravenclaw 7 Hufflepuff 1 (2 if you include Dimensions Newt) Unknown 4 (Stan, Ernie, Greyback, Moody - maybe one of these will be revealed to be a Hufflepuff. Ernie is listed as Gryffindor in Lego HP 1-4, Moody doesn't seem very Hufflepuff, and it's not even certain Greyback went to school) The lack of Cedric and Tonks figures are very obvious. It's lovely to see the 2018 onwards line having 8 separate Hufflepuff characters (Sprout, Cedric, Tonks, Helga, Susan, Hannah, Justin, and Newt) and hopefully there will be a few more (Ernie, Leanne, Zacharius and the Fat Friar perhaps) in future sets. Oh, and a Moments torso to complete the set please! P. S. Can you guess Hufflepuff is my house?

I think that is the Magical Menagerie rather than Eeylops as it has more than just owls, not that that really detracts from your point

Whilst I'm not sure what form it should take, I'd love some more DA sets too. Gringotts should be a given, maybe the Leaky Caldron, but I'm not sure how popular the other side of the street would be as there are no well known stores of the standing of Quality Quidditch Supplies, Ollivander's, WWW, etc. I'd love a line up of four modules like the DA set consisting of Potage's and Malkins, Eyelop's and Wiseacre's, Mulpepper's and Slug and Jigger's, with the Menagerie being paired with another store like Gambol and Japes. I think the more likely thing would be to get a couple of extra shops with a Gringotts set and a Leaky Cauldron set, and that be it.

You don't need to display the CoS below the castle though, you can have it separate. That way all the castle is on the same level. It's almost certainly what they'll do with Gringotts, as any future set will have to be the same height as the rest of DA, but Lego will probably provide the subterranean vaults and carts which could be displayed separately.

LMAOOOOO Nah, all interiors have been good so far, they've just got better as they've gone along IMO. The Great Hall was wonderful for example, but the GS Tower was rather bland - likewise the Clock Tower was great apart from the barren entrance.
-
I'd suggest we're missing: Divination Owlery Library Common rooms and dormitories, including the Fat Lady. And Patronus lessons. As Hogwarts interiors off the top of my head. The buildings that house them could be anything, and I left off the wooden bridge as that seems like a likely DHII set. Then for small play sets you could have something like the disappearing glass at the zoo, or the world cup. I don't think we'd ever get a flashback or flash sideways scene like the Riddle House or Hagrid's expulsion for example. The Moody classroom was in the Clock tower set I think.

The Fluffy Set and the Chamber of Secrets sets are based around the 2001/2 line so are part generic, part based on what's on screen. Flying lesson is based on the Training Grounds where Neville breaks his wrist and Harry learns the basics of Quidditch. The Polyjuice set is just a box, so it can stack, but cannot really be based on its location in Hogwarts as the part of the Castle it's based on would only be about 4x4 studs based on the scale of the other sets

In the UK DH1 and 2 are rated 12A, HBP received a 12 so has the oldest certificate in the series. On that basis HBP is less child friendly than the last two films By contrast the first 3 films are all PG, then GoF and OotP also share the 12 A rating of DH1 and 2. Whole lot of acronyms there

Myrtle's bathroom is pretty close to the Long Gallery is, so perhaps you don't need to move it at all.
-
That looks great. I guess as it's meant to represent part of the Training Grounds it should be as far from the Great Hall as possible, so that position looks good. I know the Whomping Willow is also that part of the castle, but it works as buildings near the Great Hall too. To be honest I think all the new sets will fit in fine if the roof colours are changed, but the CoS rock section won't work with the different heights.

But it is a pub, it's not that shocking is it? Yet. Lovely to hear all these behind the scenes bits of information, hopefully this line continues for years so we can fill up out Lockhart book collection

I really like the little trophy cabinet (probably the shield trophy is the one with James' name) and the top of the Forbidden Corridor I still don't recognise :D

Not a fan of the hair choices for Crabbe and Goyle, but they're not difficult to change. Love the new Harry and Ron faces in that set!
