  1. Is this set supposed to be a Lego exclusive? Should be about £40-£45 I think, but it's its just with Lego I don't imagine I'll get so many copies.
  2. I make it at least 12 hair pieces and nine head pieces - not including the prof. It also looks like there may be a new trunk lid piece?
  3. Fair play these is some excellent stuff there! Sticker heavy but such a nice concept and figures look great! New flying owl colour too will impress some :D
  4. Yeah, it's the winter wonderland pack next. Looks like there are parts to make snowmen and women and maybe some winter village builds. No minifigs like the skeletons in the last packs though. Some rare parts according to brick set but no rare ones.
  5. Sorry, I'm not sure what this means.
  6. They've arrived. I'll open one bag now, so everything you see if from just one pack. Again, most parts are loose in the main bag with a little bag with smaller pieces. Everything you get. Spare parts. Everything - but built up a bit. I have to admit I really enjoyed putting these parts together and trying to create little builds with limited parts, something I didn't experience with the Fun pack. As well as six skeletons having a party - there's one with a lightning blaster, one with a cookie, a witch one, one with a pumpkin for a head, one with a lamp and one with a teddy bear - I could make a small decorated pumpkin cart pulled by a winged duck creature, a frog choir, two eyeball snail things, a witch bust, a bear with a gun and an unappetising table of cookies and eyeballs. There was still another broom, lantern and spider on a web just for decoration. I think this pack is much better than the first. There are no unique parts, however the witches hat has only appeared in two Harry Potter sets so far and only 14 colours which is far fewer than the fun pack. However the contents are more fun and more useful, it seems more of these parts are based around minifigures animals and accessories than the last pack. It does have 20 odd fewer pieces. There are five printed elements, as well as the witches hat which may be dual molded (unsure). With the Spooky pack being relevant to Halloween, the next pack will probably be the snowy/winter pack. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the email when the next pack is available.
  7. I think the idea is they'll be available everywhere after the trail period, but there will be a questionnaire at the end of the trial which may influence distribution. Not sure how it will go but so far I'm happy with what's on offer 🙂
  8. As suspected, the next VIP Add on is the Spooky set. A lot of skeletons, lamps, witchy stuff and pumpkins look to be included. I managed to order both my packs this morning with no fuss, the previous pack would not update in the cart so looks like Lego has solved that problem. I left it a bit later to order this time though so hopefully they still have stock. This round of sets expires on 30/11.
  9. Well, the dorm GWP and the polybag went together nicely, now I have 13/16 cards with 13 repeats, still getting another four from the advent calender and a third bathroom set (I want three more Slytherin torsos and another polyjuice goblet, on Bricklink these would cost me £7 alone not including shipping). I'd love to see more cards added in the future, perhaps not at random this time though! One thing I've noticed though is that the dorm set pushes the whole stacking system to its limits and I've rather gone off the idea. I think 8x8 tower sections to give 90 or even 45 degree angles so the castle isn't a straight line would be good for future waves. The interiors are still mostly great though.
  10. Cheers, I already have the Diagon Alley accessory pack, the Student one was good for repeats though. Nevermind, hit threshold with Hogsmeade and Fawkes. I hope the DA pack is replaces with a Quidditch or robes back in 2022 if it's retiring soon. I'm also really keen for a Niffler/Crookshanks/Scabbers to join Hedwig and Fawkes.
  11. Does lego still stock the student pack? If not I'm going to have a hard time hitting £100 without going way over
  12. Picked up the Fluffy set for £25 on Amazon today, think that's a decent price for it. Few other reductions too!
  13. So far the slicked back hair (films 1-3) and the swept sideways hair (film 6) are both available in tan to replace the bright light yellow pieces, I think the standard male hair and the hair you mentioned from the Home Alone set also work well for Draco at certain points. The curtains as seen on Flitwick would be a better match for film 3 I think, and what we really need is the Dumbledore piece in tan to replace the bright light yellow one that came in DA for Lucius.
  14. I may be wrong but isn't the 'three year plan' model for new themes to establish them? I wasn't aware that Star Wars or Superheroes still worked to that formula, although for something like Ninjago it may make sense. Don't think it's worth starting the evergreen theme debate though HP has also been slightly more complex to plan with the FB films coming out and being pushed back. The three year plans can also change - I think it's the case that the final LotR wave was cancelled, but also the first HP AC was rushed through. Whatever the case, Lego wants to make good sets and I think there is plenty of material left in the first four films to make lots of sets with films 5-8 being relatively untapped. However I don't think 'generic' areas of Hogwarts would necessarily be a problem.
  15. The lute means we can sort of complete the book list of Weird Sisters too - in Lego scale the violin isn't too out of scale to be a Cello. It's a really interesting looking CMF line up!
  16. Hmm, I think you might be right. The Star Lord one has very flat sides though. Glad they both look a bit shorter than the standard hairpiece though.
  17. I don't think so - London, Cardiff and Edinburgh are the physical locations of the clues, with the same clues available online from what I've read - not sure if brickfanz is a legit site though.
  18. I'd say Gringotts underground is essential. Were I to design the set, the wonky white building would be in scale with DA (naturally) and a seperate plate would feature the underground section. We don't see the staircase or whatever to get from the above ground to underground so no need to have them stackable. The underground would be a loop of track with a couple of carts around the dragon pen with a few vaults, one for Harry, one for Bellatrix and maybe another for the PS. Minifigure wise, all from DHII. Too many Hagrids already and the PS Griphook and Harry are in the calender.
  19. What's the best current hairpiece for Zabini? Standard short afro hair CMF Captain America CMF Starlord. Sorry, think those Marvel CMF names are right but not 100% sure. I need to update the torso of course.
  20. It's also missing from the UK Calender - I'm not sure it was ever on there to start with though. No trace of Hermione Polybag either.
  21. My guess is we are not getting a new set.thr report suggests something big and to get this close to the end of the 20th anniversary and heard nothing would be remarkable. A new video game would be great, although the two from the PS3/Xbox 360 era aren't too outdated when compared to the Star Wars ones which are getting a revamp. The Hogwarts game that was delayed until next year may be another factor against a game as perhaps WB wouldn't want competition. Perhaps a TV series/special/shorts released on HBO Max as with other WB properties? Similar to what Lego Star Wars has on Disney Plus. Possibly set around Christmas. There has already been a big contest (well, I only heard about it the day it closed haha) so probably not that either!
  22. It looks a little too scruffy, but pretty bang on. The Penguin from The Batman wave also looks good for Ministry characters.
  23. Lego can make sets of Deathly Hallows.
  24. March would seem quite close to the summer wave, the article has been updates to say other sources are reporting Jan release.
