  1. I got them from Bricklink, I'm guessing they're were from a b&p or bam, as I can't see them listed as part of an official minifig.
  2. Brilliant, I has no idea there were rohan ones, will have to order some weapons and helmets at least!
  3. I'll see if my local has one later, I'd get one for that price I think.
  4. @Wurger49 Yes, I have a few of the Fountain Court guards, I'm not entirely a fan of whole clone figures, but there is no denying they look very cool. It'll be interesting to see if the do any further Middle Earth stuff, I think the last thing was the Dwarves. Got some villains today Sauron has a custom helmet, vambraces, neck armour and mace, on the extra long Woody legs. The helmet is a little loose. The Witch King I bought of eBay ages ago, there have been some great customs since I missed out on though. Gothmog is a custom printed head, I think the armour came from Brick Warriors. The Haradrim use various turban and headscarf pieces with the CMS Hun Warrior torso. I would have used the Prince of Persia Dastan legs but I can't find my box of legs The Easterlings are all custom again with either a gold spear or the scimitar piece. Grishnakh has a custom printed head on a normal uruk body. Snaga uses a painted Goblin ears piece on Bib Fortuna's head. Gorbag has the Hobbit Orc print to show his painted face, Shagrat used the sand blue Troll head from the early Harry Potter sets. I'd love to be able to get a better Mordor Uruk head for him and others. I have some Corsairs too somewhere, and I'd love to add a good Sharku figure to my villains as well.
  5. Thanks @AmperZand, I really like the yellow toned Thranduil. My LotR figures were yellow until a few years ago when I made the change. Now for some Gondorians: Boromir's sword I'm not convinced with, I'd much prefer a silver rather than gunmetal shade. Faramir is a custom printed torso with Indy's face, I think more of a goatee would be good. A custom Gondorian, Ranger and Dol Amroth Knight. I have Citadel and Fountain Court guards in the works too. The Gondorian helmet is based on the one from the Lego LotR video game. Elendil, Isildur and Numenorian Soldier, with Denethor. A better Denethor torso is probably out there, but really happy with the hair and face combo for him.
  6. Updated Rohan: Eomer with Hama, Gamling and Grimbold. The torso for the Royal guards is from the 2002 KK line. Theoden, Eowyn and some Rohirrim soldiers. Theoden has a custom sword sheild, Eowyn is a custom torso and legs from eBay with a custom sheild and helmet from the CMS viking. One of the rohan soldiers also has a custom sheild, and their torsos all come from LotR, Castle and Viking sets. I'd like to get some new of the printed swords, if only for Eowyn and Eomer, and maybe change the royal guards capes to dark green.
  7. Hi, I've been slowly expanding my LotR minifig collection over the past few years, some with new custom prints and weapons and some with official Lego parts. Hopefully this is a better place to post this than the MCN board, and it can be a LotR version of the Star Wars and Harry Potter minifigure updates threads, where any LotR fans still around and interested in this sort of thing can post their finds/collections. To start off, here is my Theoden from the Battle of Helm's Deep with a custom sword. I'll be going to my parents for the first time in ages over the weekend where most of my figures are kept, I can upload some more after that hopefully
  8. I got the chess set yesterday, I spent about £36, so I thought that's not a bad price, and was a set I was going to get eventually. I don't quite know what I was expecting build wise, but I was done within half an hour of an 800+ piece set. I'm happy with the final result but the journey was disappointing. The pawn build is repeated 16 times, kind and queen twice each and bishop, rook and Knight four. Obviously that's necessary for a full chess set, I reckon if it only had half a chess set you could buy two of at a lower price it would seem better somehow. I'm glad I got it though, even if I want to mod the pieces and the board, it does look good and functions as well as any previous chess set.
  9. Ah nice one. Bluewater has that set up too, but all they have atm is nurse, chef, business man etc, no castle stuff at all. Hopefully it'll be back to normal soon and I can get one of those lovely torsos
  10. One of the saving graces for the DH films is that so many locations are revisited. Potential future sets based on The Ministry of Magic or Grimmauld Place could only feature minifigs from OotP, but with polyjuice Harry/Ron/Hermione from the ministry with a few accessories and perhaps Mundungus Fletcher or Yaxley in a future CMS, the OotP sets can quickly become more DH based. A DH Gringotts should also appeal to fans of the first film too.
  11. So does that mean the Great Hall, Clock Tower, Astronomy Tower, Hogwarts Express, Hagrid's Hut, Privet Drive and the Burrow are all sticking around for another six months/a year at least? I know the Great Hall and Hagrid's Hut had previously been listed as retiring at the end of the year by Brick Fanatics, and possibly others. If so, there aren't a great amount of classic scenes, vehicles or locations not on the shelves from the first six films, Quidditch being an obvious omission as we didn't get the Quidditch character pack we were expecting. MoM, Durmstrang Ship, Second Task, Shrieking Shack and more DA rumours will start in earnest More FB sets would seem likely in 2022, and perhaps we'll get some of the gaps in the older films filled like Troll in the Dungeon and the rest of the PS Challenges for the smaller sets, especially if four of the £80-130 range sets are all still big Hogwarts sections.
  12. Did you ever manage to track this part down? I tried my local (Bluewater) and couldn't see it.
  13. The Quidditch World Cup game gives a full roster of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw players which is what I am planning on using. https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Harry_Potter:_Quidditch_World_Cup
  14. Gave Hooch black boots.
  15. Isn't Pettigrew the same in every film?
  16. I think it's more the overall tone of the final films rather than certain scenes. Overall they're far less jolly, more grim colours, and not as quotable than earlier films, aside from the actual plot. I don't imagine Lego won't produce any sets for the last two films though, sets based on the Battle of Hogwarts seem very likely as well as the tent. There are a lot of revisited locations aside from Hogwarts (Burrow, Gringotts, MoM, Privet Drive, Grimmauld Place, Hogsmeade) as well as lots of new houses (Malfoy Manor, Shell Cottage, Lovegood House, also Godric's Hollow although it was seen in flashback). I'm looking forward to scenes from the first six films being adapted for the first time, or better in Lego. For Hogwarts, the dorms and common rooms are obvious ones, as well as Lupins DADA classroom, the Library and Divination.
  17. A makeover show is neither political nor adult. It's absolutely fine. I'll also be sticking to Harry Potter, but always like to see lego branch out into new licences, which greatly improves the range of flesh toned faces, new hair pieces and torsos for custom figs. I may pick up a few of these if the QE set is for real and they suit HP
  18. Not forgetting the advent calender which has two in.
  19. That sounds great, it's certainly what I'd do with them :)
  20. Are the Chess Set, Fawkes and Flying Leason exclusive to Lego stores in the UK?
  21. You know what, I think the Flying Lesson set is the one I'm looking forward to most. As in, buy it at full price looking forward to it
  22. Since we got Draco and Lucius in DA, a Borgin and Burke set has been more likely to set in HBP I think, with the Trio, Draco, Narcissa and Greyback. I'm glad we're getting a Borgin fig, even if mine will share none of the same pieces. I've been meaning to buy one of those torso pieces for years.
  23. I think the reason is there is official art with real people rather than illustrations to base Jocunda and Merlin off, whereas there isn't for the others you have mentioned. Hengist also has official art for the Hogsmeade set.
  24. Yeah, that's a good line up. Everyone but Jocanda and I think Merlin appear/are mentioned a lot in the films. It'd be good if they added a few more cards in the future, but for now this line up is a really nice addition.
  25. Those tiles are lovely, looking forward to seeing the rest!
