  1. I would guess maybe not for that set, but I can see more rock work in future sets/waves, which would open up the Boathouse and various bridges as possibilities.
  2. I think what Lego, or at least Marco B. mean when they say DH films are too dark is that the whole films are pretty miserable. They're also almost in black and white at times they're so gloomy and dull. There is far less wonder in them than the other films and very few light hearted moments. Other films have dark moments, both in and outside of the HP series that Lego has produced, but most of those films also have lighter moments. I'm sure we will get DH sets at some point, but not in the numbers of the earlier films. I must say I do like the DH films, I don't want this post to come across as me being against them, but I must admit I do see Lego's point.
  3. I think the level of characters we can hope for has been made so much more exciting with the inclusion of Sinistra. For example, Hogwarts has been very well served by sets, but we're still missing from films 1-6 (just new figures, not including variants): Percy Weasley, Lee Johnson, Angelina Johnson, Alicia Spinnet, Katie Bell, Romilda Vane, Cormac McLaggen, Demelza Robbins, Jimmy Peakes, Ritchie Coote. Ernie MacMillan, Zacharius Smith, Leanne Penelope Clearwater, Roger Davies, Michael Corner, Marcus Belby. Millicent Bulstrode, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, Terence Higgs, Adrian Pucey, Cassius Warrington, Graham Montague. Prof Vector, Madam Prince, Grubbly-Plank, Fat Friar, Bloody Baron, Grey Lady. Mrs Norris, Fang, Firenze, Troll, Norbert. That's not including any of the guests at the Slug Club Christmas Party, Triwizard Tournament or the Death Eaters at the battle of the Astronomy Tower. Also, a proper Crookshanks, Crabbe and Goyle would be welcome :D
  4. I think if the Hogwarts Case set does come with customisable figures, they may have to go down the route of gloves like last year's Harry so they can provide heads in different colours.
  5. We've had Moody's classroom in the Micro Scale Hogwarts and the Clocktower, it would have been nice to have Lupin's instead as I believe Moody's does not have the dragon skeleton anymore. Lupin also has the nice wardrobe and record player. Moody's room is mostly dark detectors with a bell jar of spiders. However, maybe Lupin's room would work better as a full set in it's own right, or part of a bigger set like Lockhart's.
  6. We don't know how it will look yet but going by the rough description: Could use it for the Training Grounds Tower post PS, pre-HBP, as the building looks very much like the Clock Tower. Or could use it to make part of the Quad, at least it will be in roughly the right place
  7. The Hospital Wing is located in the Hospital Tower in the Quad, however it is connected to the Clocktower by a bridge. My guess with what we know do far is two of the 8x8 plates have the Clocktower Tower part, with the little triangular structure on the left then the clock and roof. The third section will have a round tower roof section similar to the 2019 set. Just a guess based on piece Cound and floor size.
  8. It's no likely there will be any new minifigure molds needed apart from Pomfrey's hat, last year we got the McGonnagall one in the winter wave so a proper hat seems likely. The Hospital Wing will most likely reuse Harry and Ron from Buxkbeal Encounter I guess, with Hermione probably the same with an additional TT print.
  9. No Hufflepuff Moments torso (unless it's in the suitcase) Madam Pomfrey, excellent! They've gone for the worst DADA out of films 2-5, but still should be fun.
  10. Either of these for Trelawney would be ace.
  11. DADA with green clothes Lockhart and more Pixies would be nice too. Library could be the fourth if they did other classes I guess? Would be a good opportunity to get Pomfrey with a Hospital Wing set but we got one in the Clock Tower so...
  12. How high dare we dream? House robes, Quidditch players, GHOSTS? Would be good to get alternatives to Cedric, Cho, Luna and Malfoy for the other three houses, if these sets are indeed house based.
  13. So probably four sets coming in the winter wave, could be like 2021 which had the moments as a winter wave. I would love a Hufflepuff moments torso, and really liked the concept of those sets, but if this winter wave is more of a playset I think that would be preferable
  14. Chamber of secrets down to roughly £80 on Amazon UK, deal expires in six hours. Just if anyone is interested
  15. There has been talk of HP becoming evergreen for a few years now. It always seemed like a good idea to me. The amount of promising set potential, new characters, variants of existing minifigures, animal and creatures, accessories and buildings I would suggest is far greater than any other licensed themes Lego has ever done, except the 11+ films and 3+ TV Series in the Star Wars universe and Super Heroes which has countless films and over 80 years of published material. That and the willingness of the designers to include sets like the buildable Harry and Hermione, and the Fawkes and Hedwig statuettes mean they are happy to try different things, and for me they work much better than the buildable R2, BB 8 and D 0 from the Star Wars line. The fact the first D2C set was micro scale showed they were satisfied to do things a bit differently too. Right now I can't see why an evergreen HP line would be a bad thing.
  16. I've got no idea if the Moments sets sold well, but a series of four sets based around houses/common rooms/dorms in a similar style would probably make sense. Loads of HP fans bang on about their house, so it would be good to have a circa £30 set with a couple of students and a third figure, maybe a Quidditch player, maybe a member of staff, maybe a statue of one of the Founders, etc. You could collect em all, or just get 'your' house.
  17. Assuming we see nothing more of Diagon Alley or the introduction of Knockturn, there are still bags of potential non-remakes for the early films. One thing I have high hopes for next year is we will get a few more animals off the list. This year in the sets we got Fluffy, the Basilisk and the Cornish Pixies, but in 2021 there was Grawp, Centaurs, the new owl, the hare patronus and otter patronus. Some (or all!) of the Troll in the Bathroom, Norbert, Proper Crookshanks, the Grim and Mere people/Grindylows are exciting possibilities.
  18. I don't often buy direct from Lego, the occasional BAM and a large set for points every now and then.i did buy the large Hogwarts set a week or two before being accepted, but didn't know these packs were being offered to customers who spent a lot in store or online.
  19. Oh nice one! I was randomly selected, then I got a chance to get up to two packs with any order from lego.com Absolutely! I reckon there is a chance the same packs will be released in future to other VIPs, there is a survey at the end for customer feedback which may change that though, idk. Sorry, I assumed I'd get a notification when I got a reply to this thread 😅 I'll try and make a video eview in the next few days. Bear in mind I've seen these go on ebBay for around £15-£20, the price at checkout is £8.99 (obviously minuses from total). Just in case you were thinking of picking one up! Happy to answer any questions in the meantime!
  20. Hi, I'm expecting my first of two VIP Add-On packs to be delivered this morning, I've not seen a great deal of discussion around them, so if this is the wrong place to post this let me know. I'm not sure how many UK VIPs have been selected, but I'd be happy to post reviews and information about the sets when I get them if that's of interest to anyone? First up is the 40512 set - Fun and Funky.
  21. I'd love a full Quidditch Pitch, but I don't think it'd translate too well as a set. For example, do you have full teams? For every House, or just two? That's up to 28 minifigures, without Lee or any other spectators. Only two teams? People wouldn't like that. Three or four players for each team? People wouldn't like that. How many figures can sit in the towers? If it's more than one then the set would have to be substantially scaled up over the 2018 version. How detailed should the towers be? The 2018 set was sticker heavy, now imagine it being the towers being bigger and there being more than double the towers.
  22. I've not really gauged the size of this but will it look okay with Fawkes?
  23. Looks very cool, very much doubt I'll buy it. I'd quite like the beard and two hats in gold. Also, maybe the Hogwarts crest on the 8x16? plate, otherwise there isn't much here for me. However as a display piece is it great. Makes the MBOM and Moments books look a bit Chibi though
  24. Do we know what 1x2 tile in the book will be in the Hermione Polybag?
  25. Apart from the Christmas tree and the wreath?
