  1. Conrad's story is already developing well! Lovely cobblestone in the market scene, and clever awning too. The tree in the swamp has a marvelous trunk, though the abrupt transition from large trunk to small branches could be improved. Another very good cobblestone technique for the pickpocket moment, and the prison cell makes a strong finish for this installment of the story. The staircase and hallway lead the eye nicely to the barred jail with ruffians inside
  2. Top notch ship. The hull is lovely, rigging superb, and the Kaliphlin colors fit in beautifully Very cool wave effects for the water too
  3. This is one of four models that I built in 2016 for a book with a LEGO scene for each US president, that unfortunately didn’t work out. Portrayed here is Calvin Coolidge’s Address to Congress, which was the first in the US to be broadcasted over radio. You can compare it to this reference image: A non-immersive picture of the build can be seen on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking
  4. The mix of dark red and black works so well Very organic shape, especially for the back half of the dragon, and that lava base is spectacular I feel like it might look better if his head tapered a bit towards the nose, as it looks a bit blocky now with the whole head being a pretty consistent size. Overall, another fabulous dragon
  5. @ZCerberus I really liked those construction vehicles too! It seems some themes just aren't generally received as well. Especially if you don't specialize in that particular theme And since we're on the topic of Sci-fi builds Now that I finished my SHIP, I'll be posting a new Mitgardian build soon.
  6. Builds don't need to be complex to be beautiful, and this is a perfect example of that Best use of yellow plates ever! The autumn atmosphere is stunning, and the combination of stone and wood for the cottage is masterfully done
  7. Looking forward to seeing him, once your parts do arrive Maybe we'd consider outlawing it, if it wouldn't cost us so many members
  8. Those stripes are lovely They give a beautiful Kaliphlin touch to the walls, and keep them from being boring in their new, flawlessly constructed state. Excellent use of scroll bricks in various spots throughout the town hall The dome being listed into position is a fun touch, especially as it's easy to see where it goes with its twin already in place
  9. Very good start to your Mitgardian builds The 1x1 round brick roof design fits nicely atop the church, and I like how you used the ladder elements to finish off the stone walls outside. Nifty cross technique with the two bars and rubber band too
  10. Glad to hear of you will soon be joining, @DimQPire! It's actually not unusual at all for LEGO builders to enjoy both sci-fi and medieval themes. @ZCerberus is a great example of that When you say grey shield, does it need to be old grey, or would bley also be acceptable?
  11. Exetrius returns Unique landscape style, but it looks oh so good for Nocturnus The little tower is nicely built, particularly with that roof and modular floors Fun idea to show the split floors through making each 'float'. Those new brown grass stalks are making me jelly
  12. Wasn't expecting that Very easy to see what the kids are going through via their expressions and poses. Brilliant use of that picture, and the whole interior is nicely built
  13. @Gabe The angle the walls and beach sections are at looks incredible Lovely sloped plate incorporation too!
  14. You're off to a strong start already! Excellent stonework on the cabin, and those pine trees are fabulous Nice Mitgardian touch having antlers at the roof peak, and your snow sculpting is superb That's a difficult roof shape to handle, and you pulled it off well. If you have the parts in the future, fully tiling the roof usually looks nicer than exposed studs. Or building with bricks sideways to maintain a smooth surface. I think tan and dark tan work fine for paths in the winter, but for such a small build a more organized color transition would probably be better. Here are examples of other winter builds I've seen that use tan or dark tan in paths: One last note, I think your Mitgardian minifigures are great
  15. Welcome @Spud The Viking Amos has been added to the members index
  16. Great to see so many Mitgardian free builds! I have another build myself that I should be posting before too long. Here's a sneak peek:
  17. Well done @Ayrlego! Index updated
  18. The tapering tower structure is genius in its simplicity Consider that design stolen Lovely choice of landscape colors and plants - looks perfectly Mitgardian The old tree stump and campfire are just the kind of small details to complete the build. And naturally the pine trees are beautiful!
  19. Very cool inn The open wooden shutter and flower pot on the side are a nice touch. Excellent wagon design as well.
  20. Fun start for your character's story, and I love that he brought his slingshot with him
  21. Small Carts Tutorial
  22. Lovely garden, you're improving your building skills quickly! Nice variety of produce in the garden, with some neat designs to accomplish the different plants. The little gate is excellent, and I like that you included some farm tools
  23. This is one of my favorite Varlyrian buildings you've done so far Lovely mix of bley and white, and the architecture looks super elegant.
  24. Thanks Mccoyed, there are some pictures like that on Brickbuilt, here are two:
  25. Lots of beautiful designs in the wood and stone portions of the mill Tons of fun details of timber work too! Are those uruk-hai swords you used for the saw blades? Fun touch including some small doors in the stone foundation, presumably behind them is storage space? Tremendous landscape as well
